The End Is In Sight

This "moving the parents" thing has been brutal. First of all, I am amazed we actually pulled it off! We would not have, but a "glitch" moved the closing back 21 days. The 8 siblings worked our tails off to get it all done. The owner of the home never did approve getting into the house early to deal with the carpet. We had 2 rooms that were not stinky, so we moved in the furniture that went in those. The rest was loaded into the basement and garage. Surprisingly it all fit! We got all the pods and the truck unpacked and some rooms put together, but we needed to pull up almost all the carpets and treat the flooring. New carpet won't get installed until this Friday. So then we can get the furniture all arranged for her and settle them in. We siblings are all looking forward to getting our lives back. For months our lives have been put on hold getting ready for the move.
We can take turns checking in on them, and my sister buys their groceries and meds for them once a week, They don't really go anywhere much, as they are 87 and with the Pandemic they are very careful. My father finally bought himself a new bed (took a lot of convincing, but his was over 30 yrs old!) He is buying a new fridge because he wants water in the door of the fridge, and he got himself a new TV. They will also purchase a new washer and dryer (I hope he can get one-there is a shortage of appliances I know).
I can start yoga classes online and do some things to increase my health. This moving stuff has really delpleted my energy and I haven't been eating wisely either. It was all about getting there to help with the move, and we worked until late at night. I sure wish I could return to water aerobics, but that will have to wait a bit I guess, until Covid is gone or they convince us all to get the vaccine. I will just keep doing my videos and online yoga.
Now to set some goals and get busy on some weight loss!
