What are your visualizations on your weight loss journey?

Monday, October 05, 2020

My visualization on my weight loss journey is my "mind's eye view" of what I will look like at my goal weight. The older and wiser me!

Me at age 47, coming home after stage 4 breast cancer treatment in LA, California.

What are your visualizations on your weight loss journey?

I love ANNIESADVENTURE's, "Important Things to Remember"

Important Things to Remember:
1. Keep your plan simple. Do not complicate it with a bunch of rules that make it difficult.
2. Don't expect perfection. No guilt.
3. Expect plateaus.
4. Don't get in a rush.
5. Listen to your body.
6. Never give up on yourself.
7. Keep Sparking...

Happy Fall Folks

I've always had trouble with visualizing what I would look like at goal. It's been too many years since I weighed that. I started a Vision Book that I keep adding to, and that's helped visualize the results in so many areas. It has helped me get clear about what I want, break them down into goals, and steps to work towards those goals. Many of them center on being healthy enough to be independent!
I have my 5 year appointment with the oncologist this week. It should be my last visit if all goes well.

I try to not think too far ahead. I have never been thin in my adult life. I think what I will look like is someone who no longer shops in the plus size stores.

This is an awesome list!! Things to definitely be mindful of.

First of all, my heart goes out to you For all you have been going through. emoticon And thanks for sharing this list, so practical! Certainly at the age of 74, I gave up perfection ideals long ago, can't push myself and overdo Like I once did in my younger years. Now I give my best, And my body lets me know when it is time to rest. Blessings to you my sweet friend!! ... emoticon

Great list! The plateaus do come, but just keep Sparking, and eventually progress begins again.

I visualize a much slimmer version of myself...... hopefully more fit. And yes, I accept the wrinkles, and the graying hair etc. How else would my grandkids recognize me?
