Doing well, ups and downs

Tuesday, October 06, 2020

Doing well so far but at the same time, I've been feeling down. The weekend was ok but Sunday I ended up bingeing. I've just been working as hard as possible and getting my exercise in.

Working on top of doing everything at home with the kids is stressing me to the max. Every day has been a battle of just wanting to stop working and eat whatever I can find. It's crazy.

The good thing is, it's slowly getting easier to say no to myself. I now wake up and do intermittent fasting for as long as I can handle. I will have tea and as much water as I want. If I'm super hungry, I'll eat eggs with broccoli. It's working well for me as most mornings I'm not that hungry.

Before, I got into the bad habit of eating as soon as I woke up or as soon as a workout was over because I felt like I had to. I was starving all the time.

Now, I still get hungry. Sometimes really hungry. But I'll drink water first and then eat if I'm still super hungry.

That's all for today. I wish I had something more exciting to write about but we've just been staying home most days. I try taking the kids out for walks every so often but it's been super hot here in Cali or the air is bad due to fires. But now that the temp is going down I'm definitely going to get us out there again!

We've been excited about fall and started watching 31 days of Halloween of freeform. We watched Casper last night and the Addams Family on Monday. Not sure how Halloween is gonna be this year but I'm going to make it as fun for the kids as I can!

Have a great week!

Starting to see more decorations going up!

Got out for a run this morning. It was tough. The sun is coming up later and later. But the sunrises have been so pretty!

The stress levels have been especially tough for those of us who eat when we’re stressed. I’m making the fall challenge my opportunity to get myself back together, lose the lbs I gained, and improve my fitness. Hang in there; we can do this. I have a personal sub-challenge of tracking everything I eat for all 56 days of the challenge.
