It has been quite smoky for the past few days. But today it rained, and I was able to go for a short hike. I am so grateful for clean air again. You don’t realize how important it is until your air is hazardous.
Hanne and I went on a new hike to Lucky Lake. Here are a few photos.
The trail was through a wilderness area. We were both surprised by the amount of downed timber along the trail. With the current wildfires raging, these logs along the trail looks like firewood stacked and ready to burn.
A few berry bushes were turning red.
I was inspired to go to Farewell Bend Park to look at the fall colors. A few of the maple trees were glorious.
And I enjoyed the views of the river.
I am working very hard to get back on track with my weight loss. I have regained a few pounds, and I am totally committed to losing weight. I know I can do it. I am tracking everything, staying within my point range, and with the better air quality, I will be increasing my exercise. Because of the pandemic, I have canceled my gym membership; I’m just not comfortable exercising in a closed environment with other people. (Gyms are open here, but no classes, and machines must be 6 feet apart. Masks are required) I have invested in a exercise bike, and I am very happy that it arrived today.
