Back on the wagon

Well howdy SparkPeople! It has been a long time since you and I have seen each other. I've had my ups and downs, some of them on this site, and some since then. Here I am again.

Yes, like many others, the pandemic has caused this return. Sitting in my living room day in and day out, staying home without much reprieve has done this. I didn't mind the staying home at first, then I realized wait, what's this weight creeping back on my body? It must stop!

So here I am again.

I never thought I'd be in the 400s again; and just the other day at the doctor's office, that's just the number I got. Ugh. Three pounds over my bathroom scale can measure. Why is it that they do that, stop measuring three pounds short of an even 400? Whatever. Engineers.

Okay, so maybe I'm not going to blame the engineers, that's an easy scapegoat if I were looking for one, but it's not my scale. It's me. I must move my butt a little more often.

This time I am here armed with my Garmin Instinct, and I will see if that helps me some. Today it didn't because well, today was just today. Certainly, that is a poor excuse. I know.
Tomorrow's another day. Actually, tomorrow's a half hour away.

Better get boogying. That Garmin synched to my account. If I'm naughty, it will tell on me.

Oh well. To grin and bear it. Maybe I'll like it once I get moving.

    Always remember for weight loss, at least 80% is determined by our food choices.

    For me, I know flour & sugar are my downfall.
    Pulling the plug on them and bumping up my fruits and veggies has done a WORLD of good!

    Congratulations on coming back here. You know you have great courage in starting again. Try the slow and steady loss by walking, even around your house, walking in place holding onto your kitchen counter, or walking outside when the weather is good. Losing weight is not just cutting back on your calories it is also exercise and most of all mentally. Go one day at a time.
