A new day, a new app

Today I decided to try and take the idea of habit tracking which we can do here on SparkPeople and expand it in my life, so I am for the first time trying an app called Repeat Habit Tracker.

I know from SparkPeople that tracking habits is a good idea and successful, and I can track all kinds of habits on here last I knew, but decided to expand elsewhere for the non-weight related stuff and perhaps even duplicate some of the weight -related stuff as well.

So far it looks like a neat app, well presented and has all the satisfying elements I need, even if mostly that's contained in a simple checkmark for each day of the week.

I think using these apps side by side, SparkPeople mostly on the computer rather the phone though, I should see greater change in my life. The past few days have been shaping up little bit by little bit.

I'm working on developing a little self discipline and organization, traits that I am well aware that I could use in greater measure.

I'm just hoping that efficiency comes from it all too. That I am discovering is next. Most of the day is gone already and what have I done? Well, I have done a few good things, but wow, how time consuming some of it really is. I must be a little leaner and meaner about how I spend my time.

I will have to keep tabs on how that situation looks as time progresses to see what I can do to keep the pace with where life ought to be at.

The pandemic hasn't exactly helped my pace at all. Staying home day in and day out, well it's not great. My steps had decreased dramatically when I first went out of furlough. I became a bit poofier too, sadly enough. Those steps apparently were important.

I guess that's where I will stop for now. I've got a dumb fly begging to be swatted but each time I have tried so far I have missed. I wonder how he got in here. Ugh.

UPDATE: I was a little surprised when my phone started reading off my reminder list in my habit tracker aloud instead of making a tone. Well it serves to remind for sure, but at least I know early before being embarrassed in front of anyone by having my private habit list read aloud in front of them. Hm. Interesting. I guess if I have anything embarrassing, which I don't yet, I ought to write it in another language so I at least limit slightly the number of people who understand it! Haha!
