Oh OH Brain Overload

Saturday, November 21, 2020

When I went into the sewing room this morning to work on the stocking for Kylie...I didn't like what I did yesterday at all. So I changed it again. I'm liking this newest version much better. After I had worked on that a while I just had to try my hand at this card thing. It's what I would call very simple this first one and I hope I get better at it but after posting it on FB in a group called Scrappy Quilters it's thinking this is a good way to go. I posted it about 2 this afternoon and have over 200 likes and 45 comments. I think this is one of my better plans. Can't wait to hear what you all have to say. This is just the piece that will be glued to the card stock I bought. I was afraid to put it on a card because it's on the rough side but I'm told it's perfect and looks like it's a happy dancing tree.

Still enjoying my odd meal I made enough of the other night and having my sandwich with apple sauce for lunch. I know it's not enough veggies and fruits but any is better than none and I will continue to at least do that everyday. For so many years it was only potatoes, meats and sweets. I'm a very slow learner when it comes to opening my mind about food I guess.

Thank fulls
1. can't wait to make more cards
2. can't decide is the overload in my brain about this is good or bad but it is enjoyable.
3. the words "Hi gramma JO" on the phone

Another day of working on the stockings and thinking about more cards. it means I have half a dozen other things in the sewing room I could finish.....like quilts and baby blankets but I feel like making more cards.

Looks like you enjoyed making the dancing tree on the snowflake material. I am impressed, it was done with love for a new project in deed. It's a yes continue making the cards you sound up beat about working on them. For a first one it does earn an A from me.
I did do laundry again today, in fact the last load just went in the dryer a short time ago. So will be up awhile yet tonight till the load is done, so I can fold them and will put them away tomorrow, along with a few more already sitting on top of the dryer.
I never even turned on the sewing machine today, but did hand sewing on some of the ornaments , I'm making. Some are for the mini project that will get sewn together, I think. I do like how the hand stitching on the mittens turned out using contrasting thread and hand stitching like on a machine but leaving open tiny spots between stitching.
Anyway, have fun working on some cards , hope you will share some more of them with us. Hope to sew tomorrow afternoon then make a new dish for supper tomorrow night. It's a taco stuffed green peppers--you use taco seasoning in the meat , going to have to look the recipe tomorrow on my Pinterest for the rest again
I generally save a recipe on there and always try it before I copy the recipe, only if we like the dish

I like the "happy little tree" with the star on top. The snowflake print makes the tree stand out. Have fun with these cards and I can't wait to see how you finish the card.
