Winging It

Worked on the stocking for Kylie today and played in my cookie cutters to get more ideas for cards. Found several tomorrow will be bells. Now I have to decide on what to write inside the cards. I also napped, read and emptied the dishwasher. So I wasn't completely useless today.

Buck seems to be under the impression that I'm supposed to sit and pet him or feed him treats since I didn't see his empty bowl earlier. Once I turned the heater on tho he gave up and laid down by the heater.

Now I'll have to find something else to cook tomorrow. I think there might be a pork steak in my near future since there is that and one lb. of hamburger in the little freezer.

It will be the same for me tomorrow.....try to get that stocking finished and make at least one card. These things are just crowding into my brain.

    I used to LOVE when the Wizard of Oz came on TV when I was a kid!!! Back in the days when we didn't have DVDs and streaming video, you had to look forward to that once-a-year broadcast. Still, I never got tired of watching it!

    Pork steak sounds good, I haven't bought that in a long time. I will need to look for that when I go to the store. It may be that they don't have that cut of pork here too, I need to look. They do have some cuts of meats I have never tried, but are popular with the Hispanic population here, I need to remind myself sometimes when I see some of the different cuts.
    Today is my rest day so did some more hand sewing and stuffing cut out ornaments today, rather time consuming. Sometimes I need to do a slow tedious craft, but am making head way with them. Tomorrow evening will stop and cut a few more things out--thinking along the lines of stars, bells and angels , then back to hand stitching.
    I made a new recipe this evening for supper. It turned out great. It consists of green peppers you stuff with lean ground beef, that you cook with a package of taco seasoning and some water seasoning, Then you add some sour cream and cheddar cheese and salsa, mix well Stuff the peppers that are cut in half , use 4 whole peppers cut in half for recipe. Top with some more cheddar cheese and bake at 350 for at least 20 minutes, but next time I will leave on longer as it was warm but not piping hot. Of course I didn't do it right so put the salsa and sour cream on top, but was just as good anyway.
    To the heart doctor tomorrow to find out what my results are of the ultra sound of my carotid arteries, hope they are fine. Gotta go get ready for bed soon.

    It sounds like you had a productive day. I remember watch the Wizard of Oz at least once a year when I was growing up. It was always on a Sunday night and that was the only time we got to miss church on Sunday evenings. Follow the Yellow Brick Road song still sticks in my mind.
