Being All In

This is the voice of experience talking!
I don't recommend being all out. Being a free-bird is fun, but choices have consequences. Eventually, most of us have to pay the piper.
The picture speaks to my mental status. It's about commitment. When my mind relaxes and allows off-plan behavior, it can be very hard to get back to a strong place. It can lead to feelings of failure and hopelessness.
We know it's not an all-or-nothing journey. Doing something off-plan is not a license to throw our plan overboard the rest of the day or week. It's not about perfection. Life happens. Off-plan behavior happens. It's important to be able to flex.
But 99% of the time, I am stronger when I don't deviate. I can do a lot of damage in a short amount of time. My loss is steady if I stay vigilant.
It is a lifestyle, not a diet. It has no end. I will have to be mindful of how much I eat the rest of my life. I designed a simple, sustainable plan that fits my life. Keep it simple and have fun. It is easier to stay the course if I LIKE my plan.
For each of us, that will look different. Do what works for you. It may take awhile to find what works best, and it may change over time. The path to success is not always a straight line.
Take a rest if you must, but NEVER give up on yourself.
