Got a little more cleaning done. I have to make some space for some new stuff. My daughter has taken some of her grandfather's old Army uniforms. Since she's in Ohio, these uniforms are going to be spending some time at my house. The ones on hangers can pile in her closet. The boots and hats will have to go into the basement for now. I also have a couple of boxes of slides to deal with. I'm not sure what I want to do with them. Does anybody know of a museum that collects slides? I can't think that they have any historical value, but I am not the one to determine that.

You may can find a service that will convert the slides to photos, possibly even put them on a flash drive or cd for you

I have a few trays of slides myself that I got when my Dad died. Haven't even pulled them out to look through them (not sure what equipment I'd use to look at them, either!). Technology changes so quickly - I'm sure we got rid of stuff from his house that would have had family memories if we'd only known how to play or access them!

Slides a families memories. WE loved them when we were young. But when we cleared out the home after my mom died, we just left them. I have wished I had them a few times but they are in my memories. It is so hard to down size as I have and continue to do. This year I decided I would just keep what I could see and enjoy. So I put my favs from my mom out and DO dust them. As their are fewer and it is easier, My husband said what did you do with the rest? I took most of it to the Goodwill. But he found some boxes I had packed and insisted of taking them to the flea market. Most did not sell but now he has to deal with them. I have cleared out two homes for my parents and it was very difficult, I do not want that for my son as his wife does not want anything I have. They are very 1950s modern and I am Victorian. Enjoy your weekend and stay safe.
