Has criticism of those close to you left you feeling impoverished, empty? Instead of bestowing value upon you, have thoughtless words depreciated your worth as a husband, wife, sibling, parent, a believer? All the while striving to bond with the ones you love, harsh words deplete the joy of the relationships.
God’s order of relationships is simple to remember when choosing daily priorities: *God, spouse, children, church (believers), world (unbelievers). If we walk in the order God has ordained for our lives and put His Word into action, the door remains open for the Holy Spirit to operate in our midst for our good in all situations. We must live God’s way to prosper and achieve His will.
There is one way, one truth, one life: Jesus Christ (John 14:6). Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). When we invite Christ into our lives, our past, present, and future is covered by His blood (Psalm 32:1-2). He will make all things new.
We know in our heart that these times of difficulty are temporary. Are we redeeming our time wisely? Are we placing ourselves at Jesus’ feet as Mary did to hear His words (Luke 10:41-42)? Jesus knows His sheep. He leads us to green pastures! If we open our mouth, He will fill it. The LORD feeds His people with the finest of wheat and honey out of the rock (Psalm 81:16). Jesus is the Bread of Life. God’s Word will do more than just sustain us in difficult times. God is faithful to give us His strength and power. He will never leave us nor forsake us. God bless us—everyone—with His strength and power today (Psalm 68:35). Receive His love today, knowing how much He cares.
