NSV ( Non-scale victory) Winter 5% Challenge progress

So, I have been bummed by the slow weight loss and bungee numbers on the scales even though I understand with the heart issues water weight fluctuates wildly some days.

Having been consistent at the gym a few weeks, there too I have been discouraged at the realization just how much stamina and strength I had lost since last year at this time ( had a second heart attack last February) then covid shut down not only gyms, but the cardiac rehab program.

Slow and steady has been the name of the game at the gym following same program I was on before the heart attack last February, with emphasis on SLOW!

BUT - THIS WEEK - for whatever reasons, I am beginning to see and feel progress. Less shortness of breath while exercising, faster recovery rates and rediscovering ( aching) muscles I had forgot I owned...

Clothes are starting to fit better

Even more …surprising, appetite and tastes are changing!

Satisfied with smaller portions, cravings are diminished and fatigue and mental energy doing better as well.

All good reminders that improved health is more than just numbers on the scale!!!

    I've got one pair of jeans that are now just too baggy to wear, granted, it's my biggest same size pair, but then again, it was also my 'favorite' for a loooong time--I'm sure for the same reason.
