We are the Champs!!

Monday, November 05, 2007

Woo Hoo! Folks on my teams and some of my friends know that I play Ultimate Frisbee. Ultimate is like a combination of basketball and soccer, played on a regulation size football field, but with a frisbee. It required a ton of running and pretty intense offense and defense.

Anyhow, I play on a co-ed league and we had a great team this year. We finished our season yesterday... undefeated and took the championship! woo hoo!

The game is really fun, really physical and a ton of running. Most of my pics on sparks show that I am a girlie girl; but, I am competitive, too and love to mix it up on the field or court. So, no more Ultimate for me until spring. Maybe I'll play hoops at open gym this winter...I'm usually the only woman, but that doesn't intimidate me too much. I just want to play!!

So, there is a less feminine side of you?! Nooooooooooooo! Seriously, that's fantastic. Sounds like you're pretty active all year round.......which helps explain the excellent shape you're in. You go girl! :-)
