Lifetime Clean Start Challenge

Hi SparkPeople Members!

I need your help. I am one of the finalists for the Lifetime TV's Clean Start Challenge. Go to www.mylifetime.com web site and check out the "sweeps" link. There you will see the Clean Start Sweepstakes. You can check out my weekly video update, register for trip to the Bahamas, vote for me, and post a comment (I'm hoping to get a comment from every state by the end of the contest which ends on March 31st).

I am also interested in any weight loss, diet, and exercise tips that have worked for you.

    I finally just sat down and viewed all of your Lifetime videos. I have to tell you, I don't know if it is the educator in you, or what, but I ALSO looked at the other contestants.. not to sound like sour grapes or play favorites, but I guess I thought this challenge was about weight loss, but it isn't! Theirs seem so lame compared to yours.. almost whiny.. meeow!! sorry about that nasty remark, but that is how they came across.
    Each one of your tapes clearly reveals a weekly goal, you are positive and upbeat, even though I know you all have your cue cards written and have to work on timing what you need to fit in the time spot, but geesh, some of them seem to just say the same things every week..
    I really like how the kids thought of the food pyramid ideas for the cafeteria,, that is good.

    I also wanted to tell you how I OCCASIONALLY keep from scarfing down those nasty foods like sweets and the "B" word, BREADS.. When I feel like I am going to head out to the kitchen, I first grab my tall pilsner glass (20ouncer), and fill it with water and DRINK THE WHOLE THING DOWN!!! then if I do eat any bread, it swells up in my tummy , giving me a tummy ache, so I think twice the next time,, it is really a good babysitter for me when I am alone and nobody else can see me,, I am such a sneak!!!

    well, I loved the new video, but I gotta tell you,,, you would need a whole supply room full of those teeny index cards for me with the meat portions!!! I could sit and eat a rack of ribs in a heartbeat!!! Right back atcha on the cheese thing,, I love to cook, and garlic and cheese, breads were my staples before,,,
    keep going, it is great to see your smile when you share a new thought!! Lin
