This week hasn't been a total loss yet!

I managed to put it 2 or 3 (not sure) workouts this week. It's Friday, so I have 2 more days to squeeze in more exercise.

I can't do a workout today because I am going out to the mall with my parents in a short while. If I workout, I will have to take a shower and my parents can't wait!

I normally take the start of my week as Monday, not Sunday. Just a personal preference!

My New Year's goal is to get my first stripe on my white belt in Brazillian Ju Jitsu.

That's a short term goal. My long term goal is to continue with BJJ training through the year.

I'm not sure yet. Probably to start incorporating daily exercise into my routine. Until now, it's the eating part I've been able to conquer so the next step is exercise.

My word for 2020 is "intentional".

My resolutions are:

1) Be intentional in all areas of my life.
This includes being intentional with things like work, home, words, time, health, money, faith, and relationships.

2) Be more involved at church.
I currently work with the hospitality team and co-manage the coffee bar. In 2020, I will start working with the older kids youth group (middle school-young adults). I also want to start attending women's group events more often. I went to one this year. I would like to go to several in 2020.

3) Plan a game night or afternoon.
Every year some friends and I get together for an ornament exchange. We usually end up playing a game of some sort. Last Christmas and this Christmas, we talked about having "an actual game night", which has become something we mention throughout the year- having "an actual game night", but we never do it. I want to plan at least one in 2020.

For those who,say it’s too soon, when do you make annual goals?
(Separate from smaller goals throughout the year)

Aslo, Obiesmom, I love the Cohen quote. I think I’ll add “listen to more Leo” to my small goals. I use “Alexandra Leaving” as my music at the end of my day.

"So, when do you start thinking of your better practices for the coming year?"
I don't put it off until the start of a new year.

I've been trying to set and review goals monthly, some of them for the next month, some of them longer term. It gives me a little more flexibility if, say, I get sick, a hurricane derails some plans or my goal setting was a little too modest/aggressive. It also helps account for things that cycle closer to an academic year and the busy season at work, which depends on weather.

-google first. ask questions later.

I celebrate Buy Nothing Day and skip the Black Friday madness. So I had time today.
One thing I did was get some ideas for resolutions or goals for 2020. I think December will be a ramp up month.

I set some in finances, health, work, and personal arenas.
It’s in my blog if you care. Not exciting at all. Just blabberfingers.

So, when do you start thinking of your better practices for the coming year?
