You will find the tools here that you need to get the job done but you'll have to provide the determination and staying power. Worry more about controlling your diet and exercise and less about your weight. If you do the first two, the other will follow. Best of luck with the goals and welcome to SparkPeople!

Hi,
I am a 50 year old woman who has lost the same pounds over and over again. I have been over weight most of my adult life. I haven't started quite yet, but I'm in the process of gearing up. My first goal is to get under 200, so about 53. (Two years ago I was under 200 then several life events happened and I turned to my drug of choice-food). I'm praying I can find the motivation -I know I won't see the results very quickly and in the past, that has been discouraging. I have to get past this way of thinking. Blessings to you who are fighting this same battle.
