Kayegurl08 = welcome back so glad you have returned.

You might want to look at your sparkpage and maybe update it (if you do so make sure you put the date of your update on it)

Also remember to participate as often as possible on all the groups you have joined as that is where you will be encouraged and motivated

Lisa = welcome back to sparkpeople so glad you have reached out and restarted.

Maybe you could think about going to your sparkpage and updating it (should you do this make sure you put the date of your update so we know you have done so)

Hi I am Lisa and I am also returning and starting from the beginning with a new account and trying to follow the beginner challenge . Today it says I have finished the challenge, but I have missed a couple of days like writing on the message boards. so far I have lost 6lbs. it might not sound like much but for me its a big step. I am still struggling with the exercising. I am obese and have copd and never exercised so its hard, but I am taking baby steps.
Thanks for listening

Your only option is to keep trying, keep attacking the problem. Backsliding is typical and discouraging, but starting again as often as it takes to win is the only solution and a lifetime commitment is required or yoyoing is nearly guaranteed. Depending on where we find our stats, somewhere north of seventy percent of Americans are overweight or obese. The path to better and not sad and expensive is a tough one with lots of speed bumps and chuckholes, but it can be navigated with dedication. You're in the right place and all the tools are here to keep you on that path and headed forward. Best wishes in meeting your goals and welcome back to SparkPeople!

There have been so many sweet people who have encouraged me here at the Spark. I hope they come back and keep trying with me. Almost 60 years old friends, about to get my twelfth grandchild. The kids always say I’m crazy and I have plenty of time to be remembered as thin and 😜 rather than fat! So much I still want to do and as I approach the retirement years, working in Cardiology I have seen that obesity plus older equals expensive and sad. I’m not going to do it!
