Yesterday, I did walked a virtual 10k. I hate virtual races; I participate in them to be around people and go somewhere else, not to run the same tired route. But, it's better, slightly, than losing the entry fee.
The constant internal pressure is a good Isometric exercise, but I have to limit the repetitions or I could blow my top. I think my hat size may have gone up but the bald spot is still there. Never quit!

I have a treadmill at home, free weights, a boxing bag and lots of Leslie Sansone DVDs. If it is nice I try to get outside and walk, but I have a little one who HATES his stroller and my husband isn't working from home yet. Just me.
Yesterday, I ran 3.1 miles so I can earn the medal from the 5k race that was scheduled this coming Saturday and got cancelled. My 10k last Saturday was also cancelled and they will send us our shirt and medal. I will probably do that distance on Saturday.
My gym will be closed for the next two weeks, minimum.
So, I've laced up my running shoes and started running on days I would normally hit the gym. Taking it really slow to start. I also have plenty of weights and resistance bands for strength training workouts at home. I will continue to take a daily walk.
I want to stay active these next few weeks, not just for my physical health, but my mental health too. Regular exercise keeps me sane.

I know this social distancing period will pass and I hope VERY quickly. I have already had 2 races cancelled and one moved to August.
That didn't stop me or discourage me from staying active! I have a fairly good home gym established with DVDs and some weights. I found a small 7k race to do this past Saturday. It felt good to support a small race company and small town bar.
I have a half marathon planned and will continue to train for it. I have plenty of beautiful outdoor space to keep me running and walking.
