I use a portobello mushroom instead of crust, a couple of tbs of pasta sauce, a bit of chicken Italian sausage, and light provolone cheese.

something new we've been trying is an adaptation of the fathead pizza dough that's so popular for those on a keto diet (which we are not). i do add a little bit of plain ap flour in place of some of the almond flour to bring down the fat (though it's still a very high fat meal, so i plan accordingly). it's a tasty lower-carb option for days i want that, but i usually have a nice salad for lunch that day to balance out the fat :)

Healthy choices and actions have positive impacts, even if the scale doesn't move!

knowing that if a buy or make a pizza I WILL eat too much, I make this instead. Toast my normal bread, add a thin layer of pasta sauce, some left over meat or pepperoni, load with veggies, an 1/8 th cup of cheese. Stick it it broiler until cheese is bubbly. Then make sure I have a vegetable or salad side and fruit so it is a meal.

Hubby and I fix a veggie pizza on a tortilla wrap. I put a little olive oil on the wrap.
I sprinkle it with Italian seasoning, and fresh basil. red pepper, red onion, blk olives and mushrooms. Then I top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. I bake at 400 until the cheese starts to brown on top. This is a thin crust, but it really does hit the spot and not many calories. This is great with a salad and red wine. This is one of our go to recipes for a meatless meal.

Pizza. Lol, I usually don’t get pizza cravings, but I will eat it if I need a quick, easy, low effort dinner. I try to limit the pizza ‘solution’ to once a month.

I will make a pizza quesadilla... all the toppings of a pizza, although you do not need as much, on half a tortilla... fold over and crisp both sides slowly on a pan. Make sure to use a lid for the first side, and not on the second (reduces crispiness) and to cook it slow enough to ensure the cheese melts. You can measure out all ingredients and adjust to what you are able to allow yourself for the day.

Each step of each moment is a decision. Make your future what you want it to be, and never settle.

It isn't pizza but it satisfies my craving for it. White cheddar or tomato basil rice cakes with cheese, pepperoni microwaved and choice of vegs. 1 serving stops the craving and no leftover pizza to tempt me.

Most of the substitutions don't satisfy the itch for me, so I'll make my own dough and portion it out as part of my day. That's what honestly works best for me! I would recommend you try some of the flatbread/tortilla options if you already have them, but frankly a naan has more calories than a small amount of homemade dough, plus I prefer thinner pizza anyway :)

I use Naan bread Medium. You can do almost any type of pizza on it. I like to use a drizzle of Hosin sauce followed be either 4 thin slices of apple or pear. Then add spinach. Sliced cherry tomatoes some slivered cheese and another drizzle of Hosin Sauce. You can use Teriyaki sauce also. Bake at 400 for about 7 to 9 minutes or till bubbling. You can also use marinara sauce with all different vegetables as well. It works great for pizza craving. I cut mine in half as that is about 2 slices.

Weight Watcher has a small Naan bread.

Not sure if someone else said this yet but you can use a portabella mushroom as the base and put all kinds of things on top. I saute spinach, mushrooms and peppers with oil and garlic, put some sauce and sprinkle with Italian blend cheese - put them in the toaster oven or regular oven for a bit and enjoy.

I don't eat bread so when I crave pizza I make a plate with sliced mozzerella sprinkled with dry basil and top it with pizza sauce. Then microwave until it is gooey and it taste so good. Like the topping of the pizza without the crust.

Pizza with pepperoni, green peppers and onions. I make sure, that I eat a veggie packed salad. That way, I only have one slice and satisfy my craving. Had a good nutritionist one time who told me if you didn't give into your cravings you often end up eating more to try and satisfy it. You just have to be rational about it and not go whole hog. However, In the event you do, forgive yourself and move on!

I make a pizza omelet for breakfast using turkey pepperoni (only 4 or 5 slices), a couple of handfuls of organic baby spinach, some diced red onion, 1 oz mozzarella cheese and red pepper flakes. Oh and of course egg (I do one whole egg and 1/4 - 1/2 cup egg whites) I call it Pizza for Breakfast Omelet

I'm not there yet, but I'm closer than I was yersterday.

I buy a ready made healthy frozen pizza. I live in Canada and most healthy packaged foods made by different brands all have a light blue label so you know they are made healthier. The blue label pizza has vegetables, no meat & goat cheese, low sodium, low fat, thin crust & healthier then other thin crust pizza and 220 calories per. slice and cost $3.49 and is medium size. I eat 1/2 of the pizza, my calories vary daily, but the weekly total is the same. I allow myself whatever food I want, ice cream, pizza etc. & calculate it in my diet. It is not daily.

Using a non-stick skillet, I make a circle for the pizza crust using simply shredded parmesan. The parmesan gradually crisps and hangs together. Remove to paper towel.

Add tomato sauce, mushrooms, etc to the parmesan crust. Bake to heat or put the ingredients on while they are still warm.

Try an english muffin pizza. Or maybe a low carb "meatza". You can put pizza topping on any flat vegie, ie. zucchini, eggplant, to reduce the calories. Low fat or calorie reduced cheese doesn't taste like cheese to me so I would skip it.

I eat pizza. I've worked so long on my foods & portions that I have a hard time over eating because once I'm full, I'm full. Usually pizza ends up in the fridge available for re-heat.

When I actually have a craving for things I allow myself it eat them- but that's because I am strict on my diet, portions, plan everything in advance and stick with it. so if I need a garbage plate once every 8 months. I eat it.

I am not a big pizza eater but once in a while I want a slice. Stick to one or two slices. Drink water before and after instead of a soda. And go for a 15 to 30 minute walk or do some sort of cardio because if your like me, you'll feel quilty for giving in. This way you burn some calories and feel so bad.

I use a low carb flour tortilla (6gms) and brush with olive oil, add garlic & onion powder and stick in oven to get crispy.
Then a little tomato sauce, and all the veggies (already steamed or sauted in water) I want. A little meat (turkey pepperoni) and sprinkled cheese.
Then back in the oven to get everything hot.

Pizza stuffed peppers:

Cut the peppers in half length-wise(some people prefer to steam them first, I prefer the peppers to be firm and crisp-you know, like a pizza-so I skip this step)

Mix your "toppings"-I use cooked, crumbled turkey sausage, mushrooms, and onions-with your sauce, fill the peppers, top with cheese(again, personalized to your own needs).

Bake until the cheese is browned to your liking.

Very easy to personalize, and it really does hit all the flavors besides the crust.

My problem with pizza, as with many other recipes is that there is way too much, and if it's there I will eat it. So, an old standby from WW is make your own pizza on a pita and measure out what you can have, ie, onions, tomatoes, peppers, meat or sausage measured and cheese measured... feels so much better, only have our portion

Slim is where I wanted to be in 201 & 2011! Never happened, plateaued for a long time and gave up... got off track, but never left, so am back on track again!!! Make 2012 my year! So far, did finally lose 25 lbs. over the summer, but have found about 11 of it so far, it didn't hide g

for the last few months the major supermarkets have lowered the price of hot roast chickens to $8 each, so sometimes we buy 1 or 2 of these.
I supermarket also sells smoked chickens for $11 each and these make a nice treat to have on standby.
Cheers

Get a slice or two of pizza and just eat the toppings. This really works for me. Also I make a pizza bake. I take a small baking dish fill it with whatever toppings you like on your pizza. Add in some sauce and too with mozerella cheese and pepperoni so it cooks and tastes like pizza. Both completely get me through my pizza cravings.

I am going to try making my own pizza with sandwich skinnies. They are whole wheat and 100 calories each. Putting on a t bit of sauce and whatever veggies I like.

I think when we crave pizza its the cheese and tomatoe sauce we really want.

I also like homemade whole wheat pizza. Sometimes I make a pita pizza using whole wheat pita. I place on baking sheet and bake for 3-4 minutes. I remove from oven and top with sauce, lots of veggies and some cheese. Return to 400 oven for 6-7 minutes or till cheese is melted. It's like a personal pan size pizza, but I control what goes on it.

I pick a day and work homemade pizza into the menu! I make whole wheat pizza dough at home, weigh it out into portions, and then freeze the extra- makes it really easy to have fresh, healthier pizza, quickly! I prefer veggie pizza, so I load it up with whatever I have on hand and portion out a serving of flavorful cheese (like sharp cheddar or feta) instead of blanketing it with a less flavorful one.

Healthy choices and actions have positive impacts, even if the scale doesn't move!

If I'm craving pizza or Italian food, I eat lean meat and veggies in a low sodium tomato sauce. Sometimes I'll add herbed ricotta cheese on top.

Joseph's Flax Oat Bran and Whole Wheat Lavash bread makes a really good thin crust pizza crust. Cook it on a sheet pan for a minute to start getting it crispy and then top it with your desired toppings. When I'm craving pepperoni I found that taking just a few of them and chopping them into small pieces lets you get that taste and feel of pepperoni in every bit without having to use a lot! The nutrition in the lavash bread is great and they don't taste 'overly healthy/wheaty'.

Take pepperoni slices and microwave 30 seconds+ (to firm them up a bit)
Put your favorite cheese on top and microwave another 15-20 seconds.
Delicious no carb snack or meal.

If I am craving pizza, I usually get a pita bread and toast it and then top it with either tomato sauce, cream cheese, or hummus, and then add veggies and a cut up boca burger. Or sometimes I just top it off with an egg and tomatoes. Yum!

I've done that many times, make English muffin pizzas just like that. Now there are "sandwich thins" on the market. Those might work as well, but the muffins hold the sauce well. I've also sometimes sliced open whole wheat pita breads.

I make home made pizzas. Due to allergies, I can't eat most prepared pizza.

I try to not eat pizza very often, but when the cravings are too strong, I use home made tomato sauce, load it full of all sorts of veggies, and go very light on the cheese. I love it.

I haven't craved pizza (yet), but if I do, I'm going to eat it. IMO, if you deny yourself, it just makes it worse.

Just control yourself to one or two slices, supplement with a salad and drink a bunch of water so you don't go crazy.

And enjoy that pizza!

We love pizza at our house!! My youngest son would eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if he could.
We splurge on pizza about once every 3 months - and today is the day. I will have a couple of slices and, of course, my big salad!! And lots and lots of water.

I figure the best way to go with pizza is to eat veggie! One of my favorite spark recipes I have the link for below. t's a cold pizza, but the yellow peppers and cherry tomatoes make it really good! Sometimes when you crave something instead of just denying yourself, you might as well try a different healthier version of it. That is what has worked for me.

I cut a whole wheat pita in half, spread with a little spaghetti sauce from the jar (we usually have one in the fridge!), meat/veggies of your choice, lo-fat mozzarella - pop it into a very hot oven for a few minutes. When it comes out, I like to top mine with some arugula tossed with a little olive oil, sprinkle with good, fresh parmesan - so delicious, and certainly hits the spot when craving pizza!

I like the cauliflower crust pizza as well. I omit the cheese in the crust and really squeeze out the cauliflower, (cheese cloth is best I found) I also use dry curd cottage cheese for most of the cheese topping, only adding a few grams of Asiago cheese to the top of the pizza for that intense cheese flavor. I make my own Italian turkey sausage topping out of 99% lean turkey. With these trade-outs, I can take an already low calorie dish and ring it in at around 150 calories for a 6" personal sized pizza.
