Hi, and good luck to you! Congrats on at least getting diagnosed....that's a pretty
big deal, so that's something good. Just have a lot of patience with this.....if you've
got a good doctor, he or she will probably have to adjust your dose in the months
to come.......and possibly even switch you to a different thyroid drug later on if
this one doesn't help enough with symptoms (because sometimes you can get
great looking thyroid labs, but you still don't feel right....and a different drug may
help you better, in the long run). But you might do fine on whatever you're on.

Anyway, try to be patient....this does take some time to get things right, sometimes.
It took my brother decades to get a diagnosis of Hashimoto's (low), and we had
to fight a lot of doctors to get the proper tests for him. We're still working on
getting him straightened out......so it can take a little time. I just hope you have
a doctor who will work with you and listen to your symptoms in the months to come.
That's super-important! Good luck, and feel better, soon! Oh, and don't eat a
bunch of soy-protein stuff (or peanut stuff), as that can work against the medicine.

I am newly diagnosed and just started medication on Tuesday. The exhaustion and weight gain is driving me crazy. Lol. I want my life back.
