Hi everyone, I'm 28 years old and although trying to live a healthy lifestyle I still have a long way to go. As I've gotten older I have found fat sticks to my body in ways they didn't when I was younger. I have always had issues with my weight and have never worn a bikini. Once and for all I'd like to be tone and fit and look nice in one. My current weight is 136 and I'm looking to lose 20 pounds!

Hey!! My name is Ashley and I am a Junior in college. I am looking to establish some healthier eating styles and working out behaviors, while losing about 15 pounds. My goal is to be at my "healthy weight" by the end of this year!!

helllllllo, my name is elle. i went over seas to work on some disaster relief and lived on rice for MONTHS! that was over a year and a half ago though and I had been stuck in such a rut with the TWENTY TWO pounds i gained over there! i started working out consistently about 2 months ago and ive lost 13 pounds. i'm really excited about it, but i still have some to lose. i would love the accountability mutual support with anyone who is in the same mind set as me :)

Hello there,
I am 22, 5'8'' and trying to go back to the size I was a few years ago (about 24 pounds less). I have an event in 12 weeks I'm aiming for, so if anyone is doing a similar thing with a similar date then please get in touch! Some mutual support and morale may go a long way!

Hi Everyone!
I am 26 5'6 and just reached 140lbs. I am finding that in my twenties I really do have to watch what I eat and exercise to keep the weight I want. I think this will help me to organize my routine and actually think about what is going into my body. I would be very happy with losing 10lbs to get back to my "normal" weight and staying there. Hey everyone!

I am new here and roaring and ready to get going. I am sick of going back and forth with my weight for the past 6 years just because I wanted to be able to eat all the junk food that I want. I am ready to be healthy for good because I know it is worth it! I am 23 years old and I just got married this summer, so I want to use this as an opportunity to get in shape and not just get more comfortable and continue to gain. I am finishing my last year (finally!) of university this year and I can't wait to be done.

Hi my name is Kylie, I'm 23 and about 20lbs overweight. I love healthy food but I have a huge problem with overeating; I never seem to get full. I workout 6 days a week but my overeating has sabotaged any possible weight loss. I hope that by joining this site I will learn how to control myself and live a healthier life. :)

Greetings! My name is Melissa, I'm 23 from Portland, OR. 5'0", 117lbs at the moment. I just moved back from Hawaii under some stressful circumstances and I've gained 10lbs in the month I've been back :( I'm living with my dad and stepmom and they love junk food (I NEVER kept any in the house). My family is very very unhealthy, I have a few family members who are obese and it is something that has always scared me. My goal isn't to be super model thin, but to learn to lead a healthy lifestyle so that I don't just sit around complaining that I don't like the way I look and feel and never do anything about it.

Anyhoo, I look forward to conversing with you all (my motivation goal is to post something here everyday hehe!)

Hi, I am about to turn 26 and am feeling my body is not 'bouncing' back like it used to be able to do from weight gain. So I am trying to get my metabolism back into gear and lose 10 kilos before the end of summer (I live in Australia so it has just gone Spring here). My biggest problem is portion control and too much wine. :)

Hi, I am new to this team as well. I am 22, and I am currently 143 lbs. I have lost 20+ to this date, but I am stuck in a HUGE rut and want to lose 12lbs before my brothers wedding in December. If anyone has similar goals and wants to be friends, that will keep me motivated (esp with WEEKEND eating, that is my biggest weakness). :)

Hi I am new to this weight lose thing I am 4 ft 11 inch and 27 and need to lose 20 lbs after having 2 children I let yourself go.. my youngest is 6 moths and my oldest is 2 1/2.. I don't really know where to start I eat healthy and that just dose not cut it Any more I guess.. any ideas?

hi everyone! i'm 23, 5'2'' and about 130lbs as of today. i started losing when i hit 140 in january and got down to 121! but this summer has proven difficult for maintenance/further loss. i'm disappointed that i let myself slip but i have managed to keep exercising, i just need to get it together with my eating (mainly weekends and late night snacks!) my immediate goal is to get under the 120 mark for the first time since high school and stay there!

if anyone has similar goals or experiences/issues feel free to say hello! i'm happy to be here :)

Hi everyone :). I'm Katy, I'm 23 and I'm from the UK. I have about 15lbs to lose, post baby weight that taking a lot longer to come off than it should! I tend to fluctuate between 140-145lbs all the time and I can't get below it. I keep stopping and starting this healthy eating but recently I have been doing a lot of home cooking just because my body hates me every time I eat something frozen or a take-away meal. My problem is snacking at night once my daughter is in bed and I'm trying my best to stop.

I hope this group will give me a little more motivation to carry on as starting up is easy, its after a few days when I get fed up that I always take five steps backwards.

Stephanie...I know how you feel. Not only did I gain weight when I got pregnant but I also gained before I got pregnant so I finally got back to my prebaby weight but it's the weight I gained before that I can't seem to loose. My mom has really been a huge support. So if you can find a friend or relative that you can use as local support as well as here, I think it will make a huge difference

Hi I'm Stephanie I am 24 and i gained way to much weight when i was pregnant. I thought yeah i can lose all this because i was used to being small. Well my son is 13 months and i still haven't lost all of it. I weighed 118 pounds before i got pregnant. On my own I finally got down to 140 but it seems like i can't get these last 20 pounds off. I want to at least get back down to 120 lbs. Also my birthday is coming up on the 15th and i would looove to get down to 134 by then. But my problem is i lose interest in exercising and can't control my portions. But hopefully with help, motivation, and support, It will help get control of my life back. I am miserable being this size. I am short so 140 lbs might look good on a taller person but it looks awful on me. So wish me luck. And good luck to everyone else.

I'm Susanne, 26, a high school art teacher; married for 3 years and have gained 20 lbs since my wedding day, about 30 since I was 20 years old. I'm really ready to lose the 20 pounds I found recently, especially since rumors of my pregnancy have started circulating among students at the school I work at! Hi all! My name is Maggie. I just turned 26 at the beginning of August. I joined SparkPeople about a month ago then lost my computer to technical difficulties. I'm trying to lose about 25 pounds then go from there. I lost 50 pounds with Weight Watchers two years ago and have since gained all of it back. Most of the weight gain came after I got into a stable relationship and gained what I affectionately referred to as my "relationship weight." As much as I love my boyfriend, I do not love the extra weight. I look forward to "getting into gear" using SparkPeople!

Hi. My name is Kate. I am a 21 year college student finishing up her bachelors before I head off to law school next year. Hi everyone,
My name is Megan, I'm 21 (22 in 2 weeks) 5'5" and a size 10 (sometimes a 12). I've been overweight most of my life. Two years ago I lost 50 lbs on my own but in the last 6 months I've gained back 20. My mom started SP 4 months ago and has already lost 30 lbs so I finally 'bit the bullet' and joined.
My main form of excersize is Tae Kwon Do, where I'm only a few levels away from earning my Black Belt and I'm prepareing to compeate in my first tournament. My goal right now is to lose 20 lbs.

I understand the feeling of trying to work out and the kids will not leave you alone I'm 22 I have a 5 and a 2 year old and it is hard for me to work out at home with them so now we go to the gym and they stay at the kids club while I work out I am very excited to loose the weight. You should try the gym I recommend 24 fitness. Hope this help

Hello. I'm Danielle, a stay at home mom of 4. I've been trying to lose weight for a few years now, but can't seem to stick to it. I'm hoping that since the kids are getting a little older, and we're fully home schooling, that I'll be able to find the me time needed to get the lose to happen. Does anyone have good ideas for losing weight with the kids? My kids are very active, but every time I go to workout, they won't do it with me and won't leave me alone.

Hi, I'm new here! As my screen name would suggest, I am in graduate school and managed to gain about 10 lbs my first year. I am 127.5 now, and I started Sparkpeople at 130 lbs. I am 5'3'' and would like to settle around 115-118. I'm mostly working on not stress eating, eating all my servings of fruits and vegetables, and working out some.
