YAY! congratulations on your weight loss. Sorry about your surgeries, but I'm glad you're on the mend. I hope we both will be able to achieve our weight loss goals through (partially) the support of the people here!

Hello All!
I am also starting my weight-loss journey again. I've been through a rough two years with health issues and surgeries. Now that I have finished with the surgeries and on the mend, I want to get rid of all the extra weight. I've lost 7 pounds so far, and I have about 33-43 more to go.

I can relate: I'm great at starting things and not so good at following through. We will help each other, and I'm already impressed with the SparkPeople people! I love that people are willing to support each other. Anyway, it's okay to cheat once in a while, but just don't give up. Just get right back to the healthy things rather than thinking it's all just hopeless! :)

I too just joined the team. Its probably my 5th time "ATTEMPTING" the weight loss journey in the past two years. I get frustrated easily and cheat and then tumble quickly down the hill toward self destruction via increased calories and complete laziness.
I'm hoping by staying involved with Teams and Goals, I will feel a bit more obligated to making this a lifestyle change.
Thank you for reading.
Many blessings,
Namaste,
/p.

Hello and Welcome!!

My husband losses weight much easier than I do. He can stop eating treats for a couple weeks and drop 10lbs, so don't get hung up on what he losses. Men and women are just different in so many ways.

I would suggest start moving, Find a form of exercise you like and do it. I personally love walking the dog and using the Wii. Start slow.

So, I'm taking the plunge and introducing myself. I've already lost about seven pounds by starting a vegan diet. I have not yet been exercising, but I need to because I'm not losing very quickly. It's frustrating because my boyfriend is doing the same diet and has lost twice what I've lost! Anyway, so any helpful hints for helping get past a plateau, or how to lose more weight is greatly appreciated. Thanks, and I look forward to reading everyone's posts!
