Hi everyone,

I'm Heidi and I'm on day 8 at SparkPeople.

4 years ago I was at my lowest weight (167 lbs) which was healthy for me. I got there by counting calories and a lot of exercise. Since then, I had trouble getting pregnant and then got pregnant with twins. I was on bedrest the entire time so I lost a lot of muscle tone and gained all of my weight back. My girls are now 2.5 years old and, needless to say, I've had very little time for myself. Complicating the issue is that one of my daughters is very underweight and has to be on a high calorie diet (ironic, right???). However, now she is still underweight but otherwise healthy, so I can start focusing on myself a little bit.

I've started exercising on a Gazelle while my girls eat breakfast and I'm doing a strength training program a couple of time a week, too. I've been tracking my calories and exercise, so I feel good about the start I've made. I'm hoping SparkPeople will be just the right kind of motivation, encouragement and accountability I need.
