Exercise is important. I wear a fitbit on my wrist to keep track of steps. I have a personal challenge to do 10,000 steps a day. Warm weather is better for me for then I will put in the 10 miles but cold weather I find I want to stay inside. A tracker also helps me to see my lazy days and I try to do better the next day. Any form of exercise is good. Watching your portions too. I love to eat too but find if I get a small plate like the kids that I eat less. I find large plates and bowls makes me want to eat more.

emoticon Exercise is very important, but remember it is half the equation. Even when I weighed well over 200, I was walking 4 miles a day. I like food and with a mother, 2 sisters and a brother that liked to bake I had plenty to eat. When i quit adding salt I lost almost 10 pounds that week. Finding hidden salt and getting rid of it helped a lot also.

You will be able to drop 5 pounds easy if you cut out sodas and replace with water. If you have to have a soda then limit it to only one a week as a treat.

So, is a goal of 10 by April 1 reasonable? Go to Planet Fitness 3 -4 times a week, cardio and strength. Just like to eat, and not the good stuff. Weigh 245 now.
