Welcome Rockgreathealth! Look forward to seeing what you snap and why you took it.
A teacher of mine said I should never leave the house without my camera and to just keep snapping things I see.

We would take "walks" as a class along a 2 block area for 30 mins taking what ever caught your eye and then return to the classroom to review what was captured. Very interesting to see what others saw AND HOW they saw it. So if you have a friend to go out with, give it a try and see what each caught in the lens. It will train your eyes.

Welcome Lisa.... Will enjoy sharing photos with you.
None of us are professionals, I think most of us just do it for fun, I know I do. It does make it even more fun to share with others.
If you have any questions feel free to ask. We don't always have answers but we will try to help out!!!

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense.

Welcome to the team!! Will enjoy seeing your photos!
An assignment is posted about every month or so just so we have a topic to share pictures on. But feel free to share any photos you want and even start new topics!!

Not knowing your camera not sure if I can be of any help but if you have a P setting that is what I use. It works well for about anything. It also lets you set many settings that you want to use.

Welcome Kathy! This is a good place to come and share photos and ask questions if you have any. Questions about Sparkpeople, cameras, or taking photos!!
I agree with Leadagent1, just take photos and enjoy it. Do whatever you like and what you think looks to good to you. They don't have to be perfect.
I have a friend on this team that told me several years ago to be sure and learn all of the rules of taking a good picture. Then go out and don't do them! ha ha
Rules are made to be broken! Do what you like!!

Feel free to start a new topic or just share a photo on our chat Forum!!
I have started putting up a topic every month or so to give us all an idea of photos to share.
Will look forward to seeing your photos!

Welcome to the team. I am hoping to sit down and upload some pics on day. Difficult from the phone. Most of my files are in my laptop.
Take pictures of everything. If something catches your eye capture it. And remember your photos are an extension of you. People don't have to like all of them, only you do.

Hi! I'm Kathy and I'm new to this team, but not to SP. I am an amateur photographer who has lapsed in her practice. I would like to get back to taking pictures on a regular basis and hope to gain some inspiration from this group. I look forward to learning from you and sharing photos, as well.

Other stuff about me:

I'm retired, married, have 1 son, a bunch of dogs, and a crazy cat. Other hobbies include reading, knitting, and playing the piano.

I look forward to getting to know you!

Kathy
