Welcome to Sparkpeople and to the team! You only fail when you quit trying. You can't change the past, so leave it there! Look forward with excitement, a positive mind, and a bounce in your step. Focus on the daily things...eat well, move more, drink your water, sleep, and destress....and you will see changes. Eat more food from the ground than a package and know that this isn't a DIET! This is a way to eat for life, and hope has nothing to do with it! If you are honest with SP it will be honest with you. Track whatever passes your lips and how much you move your booty! You can do it! DO NOT HOPE...JUST DO IT! :)

Hello, I am new to sparkpeople. I am excited about this website and hope that it will help me get started. I am 42 and I want to lose about 70 pounds. Losing weight has always been a problem in my life. I have been overweight most of my life. Recently, my husband and I have come together and made a commitment to lose the weight together. I am scared of failure. I have failed so many times before. I have been reading everything I can on this website in hopes that it will help me succeed.
