Welcome Stacy!
It's great to have so many video tutorials available now so we can learn new things. Wehn I first started crocheting, I did well at reading patterns until a teacher gave me one for a granny square. It was not written very well, and I made a big mess of it. My teacher made fun of me, so I wish would have had video tutorial so I could have failed in private! Now that I have crocheted for many years, I know that some tings are easier to crochet than they are to write instructions for.

Glad to have you on the team!

Stacy, I didn't mean the Broncos were a baseball team. I've been watching their football games probably since they started the team or a little later, but on TV. Way back when one of my favorite players was Riley Odoms (guess that was when I was in high school or just out of college, I don't know).

The baseball was the St. Louis Cardinals for years since that was where I was born and we visited there a lot. My aunt always used her boss's season tickets to take us to the games. Then we got a team in Denver, so I am fan of that one, too.

I've had several times that I had to go after help with my crochet, but can usually follow patterns. A couple didn't make sense at all. Of course, the first one I couldn't make sense of was way above my skill level, but I so wanted to make it for my friend's granddaughter's church dedication. It was christening gown, cap and booties.

Hello! Very nice to meet you.

My poor Spark Page needs some updates. I just restarted yesterday my journey yesterday.

I have been a Denver Broncos fan for more than half my life. You said baseball..?? They are a football team lol. :) I was 12 when I was watching football with my childhood boyfriend and he told me to pick a team, so I picked the Broncos and it just stuck lol.

When I did my purse, I watched a video on YouTube and I caught on quickly and I also watched a few "for dummies" videos for the basics. I found a book called "I taught myself to crochet" and that is where I did the coaster and coozie. However, I found a wall organizer that I really liked online and it said it was for beginners, however, the pattern is SO confusing. I am going to try to give it another go today to see if I can figure it out. I also thought about looking on YouTube to see if anyone had done a video on doing one to see if I could follow that any better.

Welcome Stacy. I'm glad that crochet has helped with your anxiety.

I glanced at your Spark Page and noticed you are a Broncos fan. I didn't even know there was a team for them. I'm going to have to look at that. Being in Denver all my life it's pretty much a no-brainer for me. Born in Missouri, though, so my baseball is divided.

I am self-taught on crochet. I did have some instruction on hanging towels, and help a couple times reading patterns (and am the one person always asking questions on here), but otherwise just followed books. I don't have that much ability with knitting. I have a book of how to do things, just need help understanding most of it.

Hello All,

My name is Stacy. I am married to a wonderful man, we will be celebrating 13 years this year and 16 years together. We have a 12 year old son who is into everything under the sun. We are involved in Scouts, Archery, 4H, and Soccer. We are missing all of our friends and family right now.

We also have a busy home life as well. We have close to 40 chickens, two cats, a dog, and two parakeets.

I was diagnosed with anxiety two years ago and have been on medication since. I have been able to control and deal with it, however, since this quarintine has happened, I am having some trouble. A co-worker posted on Facebook that she wanted to learn how to chrochet, I thought that was a great idea, so I jumped in as well.

It has helped a ton. I have done a coaster with matching can coozie, a purse, and I am now working on a poncho.

When I was about 10 my Grandma tried to teach me how to crochet and it was an epic fail. I just could not grasp it for some reason. Everything I tried to do always turned into a circle.

With being able to successfully completlying three projects, I am hoping she is watching and is proud of me.
