I've heard cranberry for a UTI, but hadn't heard those juices for a kidney stone. I really hope it works for him so he can avoid a doctor visit.

Distance learning starts today. I've been wasting way too much time on the internet so I've told myself no goofing around online (including spark) between 8-4. Online only for work purposes. I'm kind of looking forward to having some kind of schedule again, even though it won't be at all what I'm used to. I'm also looking forward to not having to pee on a set schedule.

I'm looking for my inner athlete, but I'm afraid I may have eaten her. If I'm very quiet I can hear her screams of terror.

Pretty much the same here.

Went to town this weekend and ended up running into Walmart 3 times! That's more than I have been in Jan and Feb combined. But, after our big trip Saturday morning, we realized we needed/forgot a few things so I ran in Sunday morning while hubby got gas, then later we ran back to town to get him some juices. He thinks he might have a kidney stone, side/back is hurting. I read lots of tart cherry juice, cranberry juice and pomegranate juice can help so that's what I got lots of. I hope it works. I don't want him going to the doc anytime soon.

We are under "stay at home" order. Except it's more like a really strong suggestion than an order. You can go to work if you are still working on site, you can go to get food/medicine/necessities, and you can exercise outdoors or walk your dog while staying 6 feet away from anyone not in your immediate household.

They do have the playgrounds and benches taped off at the park but it's not like they're pulling people over to check. There are plenty of people not following the request, but I think the majority of people have curtailed their activities.

Happy to hear that!

My county has 5 confirmed.

We can go wherever but of course all are being cautioned.

My county has 2 cases so far. For a while there I was worried I'd be number three, but my test came back negative. Plus whatever bug I actually did have cleared up. The neighboring counties have pretty low numbers as well so far. We went for a walk yesterday and there was practically no one out. The stay home order allows for outdoor exercise as long as social distancing is practiced and after 5 full day inside we needed to get out. I was surprised more people weren't taking advantage of a safe way to be outside, but hardly anyone was even out working in their yards or anything.

Our Province set up roadblocks today to keep people from visiting regions. Montreal is the hardest hit here and they are trying to contain that. I live north of Montreal. At first they had decided to close our stable completely and have 4 volunteers to take care of 40 horses, but after checking with the government, they still have their 4 volunteers, but my hubby is allowed to go every second day for 1 and a half hours,, and a friend of ours, one of the volunteers takes care of her on the other day. Everyone is scheduled, never more than 4 at a time and all distanced, some can only go once a week.. I havenít gone in 2 weeks. My immunity system is weak so I basically stay home, hubby runs any errands.

It is a strange time. We've been out several times and was able to gather items we needed. We live in a rural area with no cases of the virus. My hubby and I stay way away from people but everyone else here is acting like nothing is going on.

Since the twins are home due to their University closing their campus, they are also doing their classes online. They are not happy. They learn better in a classroom setting. But it is what it is. I homeschooled them for 6 years so their used to online learning. They joke that their homeschooling again but they feel comfortable because their used to it.

I have alittle anxiety about what's going on. I worry a little about my job, hubby's job, peoples health, etc. But everyone seems to be having the exact same anxieties, so we're all in this together. I pray alot and wine helps. lol

On the very day this all hit hard and things were shutting down our house refinance closed and went through. Talk about a blessing. A HUGE chunk of bills were wiped out. It was something that was hanging over our heads for a very long time. A huge weight was lifted. One less thing to worry about.

Because we're so rural nothing is delivered here except UPS or Fedex. The post office does not deliver here either. We drive 2 miles to our mailbox.

I feel soooo bad for all the seniors this year. I'm one of the people that plans our graduations at the school. No gradnite, no prom, no graduation, and no fun senior events at the school. They worked 4 hard years to get where they are to miss something they looked forward to. Breaks my heart.

Okay, I'm off to start my day. I've tried very hard to stay away from working due to it being my spring break. I looked and I have 500 emails. UGH. Monday is going to be busy.

Have a great day everyone! Stay safe.

This is such a strange time, isn't it?

We've been out twice since all this started for groceries, anyway. It's so weird. Nothing on the shelves. Our Walmart had toilet paper but no meat. It's so weird. Who in the world was like, let's buy all the things!

I cancelled all my appointments but the essential ones. I am not letting anyone in the house. My youngest has terrible asthma, so we are doing everything we can to keep his exposure down.

I haven't been around lately, bc I am trying to adjust to school for the kids, workout time - which has been none - and doing everything else. This week I have plans to get up and workout, get the kids up and get classes going. Apparently there are now schedules coming for school? I have no idea what that means or what that will look like. That news came from the county this week. We also live in an area where there is a lot of poverty, so I worry about those kids.

I have not been sleeping. I can't fall asleep, even with prescription sleep meds. I wake up. It's awful. And then by 3P I am so tired!

I've been FaceTiming with my friends. I have one who lives alone and she is going crazy with this stay at home order. She's happy to stay at home and do what's necessary, but she's like crazy lonely.

I decided that while the kids are working on their school stuff, I'll do something for my brain, too. So I signed up for a free psychology class from Yale! Woohoo! I started last week. It's fascinating.

What are y'all doing to keep your brains going?

What are y'all doing about anxiety, worry, grief?

Have you had food delivered? How do you feel about that?

Schools here are closed until May 15, but I hear that they might be closed for good this year.

My oldest is a high school senior. He won't get to walk across a stage to graduate. He says he doesn't care, but I kinda do. No prom either. He says he doesn't care. I wanted those pictures, those memories. I am not fixated on it, though. It's just not what I pictured for his senior year.

My youngest had his tonsils out last week. He is pretty much back to normal. No return visit for obvious reasons. He does, however, have allergy shots. I called the office, and they have no real plan for this corona stuff, so I plan on taking him in a mask, and then leaving after the shot. We'll hang out in the car to make sure he has no reaction, but we aren't going back in the office. he is too susceptible for that kind of exposure!

Lucy, our dog, had her version of tonsils out two days after Atticus. And she is doing really well. We were supposed to have a recheck, but the surgeon was like, if you don't see a need, we're fine. And we didn't schedule a recheck when I got her back the next day. Also, I got a refund. The surgery wasn't $2250 after all! YAY! I got $900 back.

I guess that is the end of my ramblings. I am going to get my day started. Love you guys.

Please take care and I am going to do my best to stay on schedule this week!

The scale seems to do whatever it wants in my house with little relation to what I'm doing. Sometimes I see a loss where I expected a large gain, other times I expected a small loss or maintenance and I see a 2-3 pound gain. I'm trying to step away from the scale more, but it's a struggle because I want it's validation. But then I tell myself it's an inanimate object and shouldn't have that kind of power over me.

I hope everyone is well, and finding a new work from home routine. For those of you that have been classed as essential employees and are still going to work - thank you, from the bottom of my heart. And please stay safe.

Well, I jumped on the scale this morning and I'm up 4 lbs!! What the hey! So frustrated. Hoping its because I've been exercising more and drinking more water. I also ate late last night and I usually don't eat after 6pm. Maybe that's it. Wishful thinking.

Stay safe everyone. Hope you have a great Thursday.

I'm back in town. I need to do a kitchen inventory, and then make one big run to the grocery store - try to not have to go back for a couple weeks except for maybe a quick run in for produce. I was going to do the curbside pickup at WalMart, but since they are out of so many things I feel like I need to go in myself to make decisions about alternatives.

We have a meeting at school tomorrow to "talk about how to roll out our distance learning". I'm guessing it's going to be less "talk" and more the superintendent telling us what we're going to do and what's expected of us. Then we'll have to figure out how to make that work. Honestly though, I'm pretty much ok with being told what to do. If he leaves it up for discussion it'll be a days long meeting and no consensus b/c everyone will have different ideas. If he just tells us, we can complain about whatever his plan is and then get on with the work of making it happen.

I'm kind of worried about how to not lose my progress I've been making. I've been going to the gym consistently since the beginning of December, and now all gyms are closed. I have a really hard time working out at home, which is why I joined the gym in the first place. Also if I'll be working from home I need to avoid distractions and eating all day long.

I'm looking for my inner athlete, but I'm afraid I may have eaten her. If I'm very quiet I can hear her screams of terror.

Just got back from town this morning, was able to get disinfectant wipes and Lysol spray at Walmart and toilet paper and a tiny hand sanitizer at dollar general. Shelves are crazy bare and they arenít keeping stock like they claim, at least not here.

I donít plan on having to make any more trips for 2, maybe 3 weeks.

Hope all of yíall are doing good and staying well!

Just heard we will be out till May 1st.(could change) Our spring break starts Monday so the following Monday I'm hoping to get back into the office. Our teachers have already prepared the packets. They probably will have the students pick up and drop off on certain days and teachers will pick up or I'll scan the papers to them. Many of our students are very low income so many do not have the internet. :(

I wonder how the paper packets will work. They will have to be turned in and graded so I wonder how that works.

I'm wondering if my local stores will have anything when I get back this weekend or if I'd have better luck shopping in the city on my way home. The store here (Corpus Christi) seemed better stocked today than when we were there the other day. We were able to get milk and bread and their produce and meat looked reasonably well stocked whereas the other day they were totally out of milk and their meat was pretty well picked over. We just needed a couple things so it was a quick in and out.

I have heard that are schools might be closed until September. I have also heard that on the
West Island of Montreal they are people going around knocking on doors claiming to be testing for the Clovis-19 but are actually committing home invasions. And the. There are the people who are selling products like toilet paper and hand sanitizer for Absolutely ridiculous inflated prices......

I've not been back to town yet, but my daughter was there last night, still no hand sanitizer or toilet paper, she said.

Also, beware of scammers. Apparently there are scammers claiming to be cdc employees going door to door giving tests for CCP Virus in exchange for money and personal info. Some people really suck. Let others know.

Same here. We went to Walmart pharmacy yesterday. We had to wait for a prescription so we walked around the store gathering items. There was no meat. No chicken, ground beef, or steak. No cheese, no milk, or eggs. Shelves are bare. The only thing they had was seafood. It's sort of comical walking up and down the aisles seeing the items people don't really like left on the shelf. All the bread was gone too. Then they formed a line at the back of the store and passed out 1 case of water, 1 large pack of TP and one large pack of paper towels to each person. My husband and I looked at each other and decided to join in. We got in line and gathered our supplies.
Still waiting to hear when our school will be back in session. Their talking about the rest of the school year will be online or paper packets.

I saw that this morning. The article said "by mutual consent" they shut down all non-commercial travel between countries.

My school just announced an extended spring break - 2 more weeks and then re-evalute. But I have to report on Monday to help work on the distance learning plan. So I'm going to try to drive back with my parents instead of flying and risking the airports. I know there are still risks of exposure, but I'll feel better if my son and I don't have to go through two airports and sit through two flights. Hopefully we can get the flight tickets refunded.

Míy hubby has been stopping off picking up some items on his way home from The stable and so far no problems.
Btw...they have now shut the border between our two countries....trucks can get through, thank God, or we wouldnít have any more fruits and veggies and probably some other stuff...

We had to shop for some supplies today and the store we stopped at was pretty much the same as you describe. Fortunately we didn't need much. I'm hoping when I get home Thursday there will be something left for me to buy since I pretty well cleared out the fridge before I left town. I'm thinking of doing a WalMart curbside pickup so I don't have to go in after a long day of traveling. I usually shop at Safeway, but I might make an exception.

It's so weird here.
Schools are all closed, the courthouse is locked to the public and if they need to do business, they have to make an appointment and enter through the sheriff's office and be screened. I have had to reschedule several trials and 3 court dates have been cancelled. That's saying a lot because we have court only twice a month.

Last weekend was a grocery trip and while I was at Walmart, it was hilarious. The toilet paper aisle was literally empty. Not one roll left on the shelves. (Does the virus cause a diarrhea problem they're not telling us about?) Paper towels were wiped out for the most part as were disinfectant cleaning supplies, hand soap and hand cleaner, rice, and canned veggies. People seem to be freaking out. We picked up some extra meal fixin's just to limit our # of necessary trips to town. Which is really nothing new, I limit my # of trips to town anyway.

Hello there....
I do have winter and summer clothes. I actually bought a whole bunch of stuff in February because I finally got fed up of not having enough clothes to accommodate the size I am. Some of the pieces will actually fit better if I lose some weight. (Pants, actually)
I canít wear Capri pants, because my legs are too short, and my body is long, so they just make my legs look shorter. I usually roll them to my knees.
In better news ( for me) I actually didnít overeat today and I started taking an energy supplement. It comes in little glass capsules and tastes awful.
Our Province has pretty much shut down with the Covid-19 thing, even the stable where I board my horse has limited people, so I am hoping I can start my spring cleaning instead.

I get to work from home for the next 2 weeks. I'll be able to get so much done. I'm excited to get caught up. Bad side, I'm around all the food. :( I've already set my mind to eating within a window of 12 pm to 6 pm., lots of water (my kidneys are not happy today) so some cranberry juice too.

Went to the store and all the crazies (zombie apocalypse scaredy cats) cleared off the shelves. So I stocked up, not because I'm scared of the virus, but because I live in a rural area and I don't want to wait 3 weeks for items to be restocked. I know they will be restocked but I don't want to wait! LOL

ALOHACYL - So sorry to hear about your heart attack. I know how scary that is. My hubby had open heart surgery a year ago and he is only 52 years old. It was such a surprise. Dr. said it is hereditary.

I'm heading out of town this afternoon. I should have wifi, but who knows if I actually will, and likely very little time to post in any case. No weekend movie posts this weekend - sorry guys.

I'll check in as I can. Have a good week all!

I have been able to maintain my weight of 120 since November. My doctors are very happy with that. It is hard to believe that I weighed nearly 250 lbs once. My health has been a rough haul of late - a heart attack last October. I think I had that due to my diabetes being out of control. I am working harder on that now.

I hope she enjoys her new job and new apartment. It's good that she already has people in her new city.

Melissa - as far as I'm concerned the lower elem. teachers can wear sweats to school, if they're on the floor and wrangling kinders and 1st grade they can do whatever they want. The older kids, and esp secondary though don't have that excuse. I'm no fashion plate, but slacks/skirts every day except for Thursdays when we're allowed to wear jeans if we also wear a school spirit shirt. It's funny to see which teachers are "old school" and which teachers are not in terms of clothing. I would have guess it was generational, but it's really not.

I've been lamenting my lack of loss, but when I did my final weigh-in for my work challenge I realized that even with ups and downs, I'm down 8 pounds in the last 8 weeks so I really can't complain. I'm still up 6 from this time last year, but I'm going to try to celebrate it as a win.

I'm looking for my inner athlete, but I'm afraid I may have eaten her. If I'm very quiet I can hear her screams of terror.

My weight finally moved down a notch since Thursday... just .4 lbs, but at least it's something different and lower.

I don't really have a summer wardrobe and winter wardrobe. Here in the middle of winter we're liable to have 70 degree days so I have all my clothes that I can wear and a lot I can't/don't wear ready in my closet. I have way more that I can't/don't than I do. I also have a lot that still fit, but look so tired, yep, my old clothes look as tired as I do, but I'm in a no spend trend and refuse to buy anything new, so I just wear the same things over and over.

This weekend we moved my oldest daughter to another city/state that is a 2 hour 40 minute drive from our home. She got a job, her best friend and her boyfriend both live there, so she found an apt and so that's that. She will be 26 this year, so I reckon being out on her own is just to be expected, but this mama would have let her live at home forever. She's moved out a couple of times before, but this time I bet it's for good. My oldest son did the same thing for a bit, moved out, back in, out, back in, but now he's married and out for good. So, I have 2 still living at home. Although of course, if my daughter needs/wants to come back, we will make room. We always do. For now, though, it's looking like I'll get an office/craft/library room back. :)

I know what you mean. I noticed a lot of teachers going super casual. I don't even dress like that when I volunteer. But I dress to be respected and it works.

Good. I am keeping my maxis then!

I love maxi skirts. I don't care if they're in style or not. I wear them all the time to school.

I only wear capris on weekends and summers so 6 is a lot. If I were wearing them all the time it would be fine - but they aren't really work friendly. Other people wear them to work and I'm fine with that, but just can't bring myself to be quite that casual.

Two un-restful nights have left me feeling pretty drained going into this school week. I'm not looking forward to today.

I haven't tried my stuff on yet bc I dread it. I betcha I can't get my booty in anything.

6 pairs of capris is totally reasonable to me. I have way too many clothes and in all sizes. I have 15 maxie skirts. Are those still in style? Two are new with tags! From about 3 years ago!

I just can't wear long pants or sleeves in the summer. If people don't want to see it, they can look away. When it's blazing inferno hot, I'm not about to wear jeans and sleeves.

Luckily all my stuff from last summer still fits, so at least I didn't "grow" out of them. The boy only has 3 pairs of shorts that still fit, but he's a teenager so that's to be expected. We'll have to do some shopping before the trip, and then after spring break he will probably wear shorts to school almost every day. I have like 6 pairs of capris (who needs that many?) and only 2 pairs of shorts left after last summer's purge so I think I need to find a couple more pairs of shorts but can make do with what I have for now.

I ate badly this week too. Way too much junk food. And then last night I wanted to go to my favorite Mexican restaurant (which actually has quite a few lighter items on the menu). We got there and it was packed - no tables and people waiting packed (I know for city people this isn't unusual, but in my little down that barely ever happens) so we ended up at Village Inn instead and I over ate. I should have just come home and cooked. The wrap up was that today's weigh in was up 3 lbs from last Monday. Ugh.

This weekend we have to try on all our summer clothes to figure out what fits. I think I'm about the same size but the kid has grown a lot so who knows. We need summer clothes for our trip so that might mean a run out of town to buy shorts.

I know what you mean!

Hubs flies often and every time he comes home, I ask him how he feels. Was anyone sick on the plane? If he is nervous about it, he hides it well.

Wow, spring break is coming up fast! Probably not soon enough for you, right?

I over ate again. When will I police myself?

Tomorrow is a working Friday. I'd really like to sleep in, but instead I have to get up and get to school even earlier than usual. One more week and then spring break - so there's that.

I'm getting a little nervous though. I think I'm watching too much coronavirus coverage. We are flying to San Antonio for spring break and I'm getting anxious about it.

I need to work on consistency too. Also balance - can't do all or nothing. I need to accept that there are going to be bad days without it throwing me off track. I'm glad your doctor is following up with you.

So... here's to March and leaving bad habits behind.

Good morning team!

Had my annual exam and mammo yesterday. All went fine, but I have gained significantly. I go back in one month to be weighed. He said I need to change my habits. Perfect timing for the challenge in March. I've got to do this right and consistently.

Anne, have fun on the slopes!

I always feel like the fattest person in the room. Always. Because I usually am.

This was my son's birthday weekend. My plan was to just eat whatever I fixed, including the cake, on Sunday, the day family was here to celebrate, but I ate excess amounts Friday, Saturday AND Sunday. I did ok yesterday, just not enough water, and stepped on the scales this morning... a freaking 4+ pound gain again. and I have that doc appt Thursday. I feel like a whale and pretty much look like one as well. I'm disgusted with myself.

I hope you are fully recovered now.

It seems like I go lots of places and I'm the biggest one there. I hate it too.

I'm going skiing this weekend and will likely be the fattest person on the slopes. People with this much extra weight generally don't ski - maybe I can pass it off as extra layers. Lots and lots and lots of extra layers.

LADYPJAY I am so sorry for your loss.

Iíve spent the last five days recovering, struggling with food poisoning, at least I think it was that. Diarrhea but no vomiting , some queasiness.......despite all that I ate a lot of toast, too much.....and today, I ate too much overall......I missed a party on Saturday night, sent my hubby by himself as it was a friendís birthday, and am kind of glad I didnít go, as I would have been the largest female there......I couldnít have eaten anyway and they had fondue and lots of wine......

I've been downing the vitamin C like crazy. This morning it doesn't seem like it's helping at all. I slept well, but this morning I'm coughing like crazy and my parents are visiting and the school play is this afternoon. I just hope I don't spread it.

This past Monday I lost my dad to heart disease. This weekend I head home for the services, and I ask that you just keep me in your prayers. There is enough stress with the loss, but there is also tension when going home due to a different way of eating and handling stress. I would like to be the Mistress of Calm among the horrors of overreacting and controlling by some. I can make it through the sad parts. It is the loud, angry, rushed parts that cause me to stress eat. I would like to come back from this weekend ready to get back on track and participate fully in March breaking bad habits. Thanks.

Food is still out of control. I went to a class Tuesday and the gym today but Mon, Wed, Thurs I did nothing. Didn't even hit my step goal. I'm nervous about the scale tomorrow, but it will be what it will be.

I'm still feeling junky in my chest and have a bit of a cough. I'm not sure yet if it's going to manifest into something serious, or just stay minor like it is now. I'm pretty low energy though. I could use a nap but that won't happen b/c my folks are coming this afternoon.

I did good eating-wise yesterday but still showed a slight increase in my weight. That is frustrating, however, no water at all yesterday, just a diet dp, a sprite zero and a glass of wine. I'm sure that's why I'm up. Retaining water.

I've not done any exercise at all this week either, just concentrating on the food part and so far so good.

I hope y'all are doing good.

Oh no, take good care of yourself!

We had court today. ugh. Ended early this time but I had a whole folder of papers for the judge to sign and I let him leave without signing them! So now I'm mailing everything to him.

Otherwise it was an ok day even though the last couple of "customers" were kinda dick-ish. What can you expect from criminals, though... right?

It snowed last night so they ended conferences early and then we got a 2 hour delay this morning. I was exhausted though, I'm coming down with the crud I think, and asleep on the couch at 8:30. No workout, I just couldn't talk myself into getting out of bed yesterday morning and today I'm going to go to the gym after conferences b/c my son will be at his dad's anyway. I'm going to try for a light workout if I feel up to it, but if this cold progresses I may have to skip a few more days.

Good luck! And let me encourage you to do that, get up early for a workout. You will start the days feeling really good about yourself.

I slept better last night, too. At least got more sleep. But at 3AM my little dog, Daisy, who sleeps in a kennel every night, woke me up loudly whining so I got up and let her out for a few minutes. I didn't seem to have much trouble getting back to sleep, thank goodness, but I still didn't want to get up this morning!

My Sunday nigh was like that. Fortunately last night was better. It's been a bit of a rough start to the week. Yesterday was running late and lost items, today has been a day of forgetting stuff. I'm hoping to get a couple things taken care of tonight still that should have been done over the weekend. Plus I need to get my taxes done - mine aren't at all complicated, but I will feel better once it's off my plate.

Tomorrow and Thursday are conferences. Wish me luck. I'll likely have a few ugly ones. I"m trying to talk myself into getting up early to workout before school since I won't be able to after. Part of me is in favor, but the part of me that remembers how much I'm not a morning person is fighting the idea pretty hard.

We visited Gatlinburg about 13 years ago. We should go back some day, it was a lot of fun!

Ugh. I did not want to go to work today!
I got very little sleep last night, my brain just wouldn't shut up and it was very frustrating. I kept hearing every sound loudly and it was very irritating.

I hope y'all had a good weekend!

Hi. I just got back from a great vacation in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, TN. The weather was great, and the crowds were small, and the Smoky Mts. were GORGEOUS! We did a lot of walking and hiking and sampling of moonshine and eating of southern food. The exercise allowed me to come home without gaining a pound. :)

I do not speak Chinese. This is a total emergence program. I LOVE it. Today I taught a little one, and we showed each other our dolls and pretended to talk on the phone since that was part of the lesson. I could not be happier. Let me know if you know of anyone who woudd like to do this. It is a blast!

That is really cool! Let us know how you enjoy it.

I'm looking for my inner athlete, but I'm afraid I may have eaten her. If I'm very quiet I can hear her screams of terror.

I bet. I'm glad it came back up in time for Thanksgiving.

My internet was down all day yesterday. It went down in the morning and must have come back some time overnight. It was so frustrating to me to be without all day and I was really upset with my provider- and that was a reminder to be more grateful for the things I have. House, heat, electricity, running water, my wonder son and parents, good relationship with my ex. I have so many blessings in my life, and I shouldn't get so worked up over not having online access or cable for one day. That doesn't make me any happier with my provider, they keep raising my rates for no clear reason and their customer service stinks. Their phone menu gives me anxiety just thinking about it and it's the only way to get to a person. But that's a separate issue from the problem that made their service go down yesterday and I need to keep the two things separate.
