Hey, so not to sound like a broken record, but I do think it might be an imbalance in your new lifestyle with your old. On top of making sure that you are eating enough and the right foods, but also make sure that you aren't over working yourself either. If you over do it, you get tired as well..
Best,
Keesha

Perhaps you may be leaving out too many carbs! I've done that in the past and was just fine for a bit. But one day I woke up and I was one exhausted, sluggish mess. To heck with that NO-CARB crap! I learned a lesson!

Thanks everyone for the feedback, you know I have always been low in iron most of my life especially when I was pregnant. That could be part of the problem...I went grocery shopping and picked up some things higher in protein but low calories, and I think I am going to start taking some vitamins with iron to help out as well. Thanks everyone for the feedback it was very helpful!

It sounds like protein is missing for sure. Try starting your morning with some yogurt or eggs. I have Greek style yogurt for breakfast every day: 120 calories, 16 grams of protein, and half the sugar of other vanilla yogurts! Enjoy it with a banana or apple topped with 1 tbsp of peanut butter, and you'll have a powerhouse breakfast that will keep you going strong!

Also, if it's your period, try getting a little extra iron. It fuels your blood cells, which fuel your muscles so that your workouts are energizing, not exhausting.

Just chiming in to agree with everyone else about making sure you get your proper amount of nutrients. I've always been border-line anemic (fun when I give blood - I know they're judging me!) and it can make me feel really sluggish sometimes, particularly that time of the month. I have to really watch what I eat to make sure that I get enough iron in.

Hi Brandy!

Cottage cheese is a protein power house and pretty low in calories - just be sure to get the 1% kind instead of regular. That and fish are great(tuna and salmon are especially easy b/c you can buy them in the cans or pouches at the store).

I also wanted to tell you that I started on this site about 2 weeks ago and had TONS of energy, but this past Tuesday I thought I was gonna drop. Then Mother Nature visited me, too! The fatigue has lasted several days for me, but I'm starting to feel back to my regular self. It's weird, b/c before starting SP, I never noticed fatigue like that during my monthly.

Then again, I was drinking Diet Coke like crazy, and I haven't had much caffeine this week.

Hope this helps!

Maybe I'm not getting all my calories in. I usually eat a bowl of special k in the morning, lite milk and no sugar, lunch generally I try to eat light, turkey on whole wheat or a salad no dressing, at night it varies depending on what I fix for supper but I don't eat the fattening stuff I fix them, I may eat a salad or chicken and green beans, It really varies, but I snack on carrots alot, apples, bananas, I drink nothing but water pretty much. I don't know. Any suggestions on food to eat with good protein but low calories?

Are you eating all of your calories? I would start by making sure you're doing that. Then, I would ask are you eating the "right" kind of calories. Are you filling up your nutrition tracker with a lot of processed foods with little or no nutritional value? Make sure you're getting in at least 5 servings of fruits/veggies a day, make sure you're choosing whole grains over white flour, etc. Also make sure you're getting all of your water in.
And, are you getting enough sleep? At least 8 hours?
Otherwise, I agree with RARAAVIS, it could be that you're getting sick or you're just stressed. You may want to see your doc.
I hope you feel better soon!

I just thought it was so weird that I went from having a bunch of energy to hardly any, only thing I can say has changed since last week is that I am on my monthly. But other than that really nothing. If anything things have gotten better in my life and don't have the worries I was having. I don't know. I hate it though. I am going to stick with the diet I have been doing cause it is working and hopefully this tiredness will go away.

maybe it's not the diet since you said you haven't had an energy problem with the diet before. i know that when i change my eating habits, i am usually tired in the first couple of weeks, then my energy levels return to normal. but since you have already been dieting and didn't have a problem, i would consider another health ailment. you could be stressed, overworked, depressed, or getting sick. not sure, sorry!
