So why don't we start a challenge? Between now and next Friday (7/20), I challenge us to get in atleast 6 workouts (at least 30 min each)! That's 6 workouts in 9 days...you up for it? The challenges really help me to stay focused!

I really need help with getting back on the exercise wagon again. I go to my 2 classes a week, but that is it. I really need to hit curves again and start to focus on myself.

Hey guys! It looks like it has been quiet around here lately. How is everyone doing?

I had a great weekend and the scale is finally moving for mw again. My 10k last week was just what I needed to get me back on track. TOM came to visit yesterday, and I could not stop eating...I ate everything I could get my hands on! But I am feeling more in control today and will get in an extra workout to make up for it!

I have a digital scale I think the name is Tyson or something like that. Not only does it calculate your weight, but also your body fat and % of water. You can save more than 1 persons height and age in it. I just got it a few weeks ago and still am trying to figure out how it works.

What kind of scales are ya'll using? I think mine is now officially "lost in the move" so I'm going to have to go buy a new one. Which is great, because my old one wasn't very consistant.

Thank you. I am doing better at least I can eat something instead of drinking sprit. It was the only thing I could keep down.

I have to be bussy and now the kids are sick. Daniel is feeling better today so I hope it is only a 24 hour bug. Dh and Rose are sick. Chyenne and myself are the only ones who are not sick. I hope it stays that way.

Tiffany we all have days we should not eat what we do. It is about making slow changes. They work better. I hope you are doing better now. Allowing yourself to have a cheat day may be cheating you to much if it is like that every time. If it is I would limit it to one or two things and see how that works. But it is a change of life not a diet.

Hey Everyone!

I ate sooooo badly this past weekend (cookies, cake, icecream, fried rice, fried fish, and the list goes on...). I have to learn not to overdue my cheat day =(

I did however jog 4 miles this evening on the track after work today!!!

I have not exercised but for packing and such. I have been lucky enough to not gain. I need to get more cardio in.

I am sure that my lack of exercise is definitely contributing to my weight gain. I am going to work hard to get in the cardio this week. And a little strength too. hopefully that will help with my weight in next weekend.

I love my digital scale....altohugh it has been quite nasty to me lately!

I didn't do much exercising this weekend either so that could be part of the reason why I gained again. Need to focus more. I am actually going to be changing my ticker to reflect this gain and also I have bought a digital scale and it says I should be higher than I am. Going to step on it today and go from there.

Work is really busy for me right now...si I really need to force myself to get in my exercise. I also am trying to convince myself not to have cocktails as often! We'll see how I do this week!

I know going for walks with the kids is exercise and they also like it. I was doing that until it got cold then I was use Leslie walking videos in my home. I go to the gym now and my kids like it there as well.

Hi Tracy (and Welcome!!) The only way I can motivate myself to workout is if I wake up early and do it first thing in the morning - I work out at home using exercise videos. I even sleep in my workout clothes (my boyfriend LOVES that LOL) and have a full bottle of water waiting for me in the living room to make it that much easier to just sleep-walk over to the VCR. I can't help you out with suggestions regarding the kids, but I guess just finding the best (or least bad!) time of day, and setting it up so that every possible excuse is already taken care of is all I can suggest.

Anyone else lacking the motivation to start exercising? I (months ago) did my workouts for 5 weeks 5x's a week. Since I went off that I just can NOT seem to get back on, no matter what I say or do to motivate myself. Any suggestions? I have 2 little ones too so finding some time to actually workout for an hour (or even 20 minutes) is really hard, especially when I work until 4 or 6 most days.

I am me. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Aiming for a happier, healthier me, at whatever weight that might be.

When I started back with SP I lost a few pounds right away then I was loosing inches afterwards fast. Then after awhile I started to lose weight again. Keep track of your measurements is going to help you a lot.


Sorry I have been missing in action. I am having to take a couple of days off. I was rear ended and have back spasms so I am not exercising. I do miss it a lot. I want to be loosing weight or at least trying. I have been taking the time to pack up. We are going to be moving within the month.

Frustrating isnt the word...lol...and no i have not been tracking any other progress, i guess maybe i should have done that. Although i feel like i have gotten alittle smaller, and my clothes are fitting a little better (which i would think means that i have lost measurment wise) i would just like to see that scale move just alittle bit, (in the right direction...lol) In those first couple of weeks that i started this program when i seen that scale going down it was so much motivation for me...and then it just stopped...although i have stuck with it...it isnt as easy as it was when i could see the progress!

I'm sorry, Amers, how frustrating!! Have you been tracking any other sort of progress (waist measurement, resting heart rate, etc)? It seems like all of that work must be having ~some~ effect! With all that exercise, even if you're not getting lighter, you're getting healthier!

so, almost another whole week has gone by and i still havent lost any more weight...it has been weeks since i have made any progress. I have started working out everyday and yet i am seeing absolutely no results, i just dont get it! At least i have not gained any weight back...thats a plus at least!

I haven't really found another site, I just improvise or if the restaurant has a website I try that. Also I am consistantly added new foods in probably why I eat the same things so I don't have to add them all the time. I live in Canada and a lot of the restaurants and foods are different.

Where do you all go for nutritional info that SP doesn't have? I've tried calorieking.com, which is great for restaurant foods, but isn't so great with ethnic food. I figure the more databases I have bookmarked, the better my chances of finding the info I need :)
