@ANNCANDOTHIS Thank you so much! My response is super delayed too! emoticon

The job has been going well so far. It is definitely the lowest stress job I have ever had.

Did I tell you guys I was looking for a job? Well, I have been looking for a new job for the last few months, and I finally got one! Today is my first day. We are on a quick break, so I thought I'd log in and post.

I hope you are all having a great Monday! Anyone have any plans for the week?

Hey everybody! I hope you all had a nice weekend. I had a pretty good weekend, but I am not looking forward to tomorrow. I have to go to the DMV to renew my license. Ugh. It's been more than 10 years since I last had my picture taken for my license, so I have to go have an updated picture taken. I am hoping it goes quickly and smoothly. Wish me luck!

I hope you all had a great Halloween! Did you dress up or do anything to celebrate?

I had a very low key night in. There were no trick-or-treaters here. We just watched the Invisible Man. Has anyone else seen it? It was quite stressful, but I really liked it! I definitely recommend it if you are in the mood for a thriller.

@MOMOF4RASCALS Good for you getting back on track! I can imagine it must be difficult to stay on track and find time to work out while keeping an eye on two young kiddos. Also, that's great that you are helping kids with remote schooling. That is definitely needed!

I fell off the tracks over the weekend as it was just me and the kids all weekend. So we ate junk food. I finally ate in my calories on Wednesday and worked out. Doing great day too. I am currently working on helping kids with remote schooling and making sure my two year old and a one year old not get into things.

Hey everybody! I hope you are all having a good week.

I know we are only halfway through the week, but for me it has been a rollercoaster so far. We are on a very tight time table to get the house done. The people that own the place where we are staying now are moving and they want to sell this place. Which means we need to be out of here in the next two weeks! That would be find if anyone doing work on our house actually got anything done as quickly as they say they will... It will get done one way or another.

And while that is going on, I'm looking for a job. UGH! I am just frustrated. It will all be ok though.

So what does everyone else have going on?

Hey ladies! Sorry I've been MIA for a while. We are in the middle of building a house, and it is not going according to plan at all. Things have been frustrating and hectic! Hopefully things are on track now. We plan on having the house finished by mid November... keeping my fingers crossed.

@HMKITTEN , that totally counts as hiking! Good for you for getting back into it. I know it's hard though. I learned that same lesson. The last time I tried to lose weight, I had much less to lose. It is definitely more of a challenge to work out now, and it takes some adjusting.

Also, that's awesome that you love D&D! I'll be honest. Your comment just make me want to throw a rock at boss demon, if the opportunity ever presents itself. Right now, I am playing a half-orc with a sentient flail, and our party is heading into a lovely place called the Dreadwood. Sounds like a party to me!

Still on vacation till Saturday. Planned that I would have rested enough yesterday to go hiking today. (If I can call it hiking... Only small hills over 30 minutes and that's hard. But I wore hiking boots, so it counts!) Nope. My body is reminding me that too much, too soon is a recipe for disaster. I even did a few wall push-offs (not that much of an incline) and now my shoulders are pointedly ticked. I am remembering why this was so hard the last time I lost weight.

I have to remember that I am carrying around an extra hundred pounds like a wraparound backpack. It makes more sense if I put it that way why I have trouble moving even when the arthritis is behaving.

@Super-me

I love D&D! (Or Pathfinder, or Shadowrun) haven't played in a few years since I have a really strange schedule now, but boy do I miss it. Have fun slaying the monsters (and don't be me. Don't hit the boss demon in the nose with a rock. It ended...poorly.)

I hope your new backsplash looks great!

Happy weekend, everyone! I hope you are all having a nice Saturday. emoticon

It's been a long week, so I am taking it easy today, and tomorrow is D&D day! Yes I mean Dungeons and Dragons, and yes I am a big dork. We've been playing remotely over discord and Roll20 ever since the pandemic started. My character is a giant, adorable half-orc lady named Cannon.

That's so sad!!

Today we are tiling the backsplash in our kitchen. I don't know how fun it is going to be, but it will be nice when it is done!

Hello everyone! I thought I would start a new chat thread for this year. If you ever have something you want to talk about, something to vent about, something to celebrate, etc, please feel free to post in this thread.

So how is everyone's day going? Any plans for the weekend?

My day is off to an alright start, but I am very tired. I am a person that needs that 8 hours of sleep. My dog woke me up several times in the wee hours of the morning today, and it is hitting me. He used to sleep through the night for the most part, but he had to stay a few nights at the pet hospital recently and it messed up his internal clock. He had pancreatitis (when the pancreas becomes inflamed), and it made him very sick. He had to be on an IV with antibiotics for two days, and he'll have to be on pill antibiotics for another week. He's all good now though! Anywho, no real plans for the weekend for me. Just trying to relax a little.
