I have weigh-in Wednesdays and no other. Average loss of 5.5 pounds per month since joining SP in April 2011. I'd like to lose more each month -- can't complain since I'm not consistently eating healthy, I have 2 days of eating whatever I want in any quantity and I don't exercise.

Part of me doesn't want to put in more effort because then I'll have expectations of losing more...and, the possible 'crazies' that can go along with that frame of mind.

I want to keep my mantra: No Expectations = No Disappointments (it keeps me sane)

hang in there i know it can be discouraging but i think you have to give your body time to adjust to your different eating pattern and your exercise pattern, but keep doing what your doing follow healthy guidelines your healthy oil olive oil, dairy fruit and veggie and try to get in some protein hang in there you will b fine. emoticon

FRITZCOLLINS - Try not to be discouraged. There are so many variables that could be the reason. Along the way to your total weight loss goal you will hit plateaus and you won't lose for weeks. The only thing that I've heard is to try a different exercise or increase the intensity of the one your doing. Mix it up, trick the body into fat burining mode.

Also, I am new to SP, but I started tracking my food religiously. I didn't realize that SP had set my nurtition goal so that I would lose my weight within one year until I got a notice from them saying that "continously eating less than your recommended daily caloric needs while buring this many calories can be detrimental to losing weight." i reset my goals to hit my weight by December instead of next May.

personally find it very hard to reach the caloric goals they set for me everyday. I really don't like food. After years of not eating by body started to hang on to everything I ate because it didn't know when I was going to starve it again. Since I've upped my calories, I've been losing weight. I know it sounds crazy, but its working for me now. I walk every other day and I run on the opposite. On the days I walk I work out with my hand weights and bands.

Be kind to yourself, feed yourself with not only good food and water, but good surroundings and people and laugh everyday

Just keep getting out there, YOU CAN DO IT!!!! emoticon

I need someone to reach out and help me. I have been keeping my diet strictly, and getting in at least 1 mile a day, and after 2 weeks I still have'nt lost a pound. What am I not doing? I am keeping just under 1200 cal/day. Drinking 8 glasses of water. Keeping under 30% daily fat, eating lots of veggies. I am getting discouraged.

Congrats, I'm pretty excited myself. I'm down to 198 lbs now. Never dreamt that I'd be under 200 lbs so soon. I'm happy, happy, happy. I'm only halfway there but that 50% less than I was in January when I started.

Was down 15 lbs in 6 weeks but fell off the tracking this past week. Decided to weigh in this morning which was a mistake up 2.5 lbs. Trying not to be discouraged. I know I did not eat that poorly over the last 2 days but I always go by the number. Back on track as of today. Hope I see the results by Sat.Have a good week everyone.
