Sharon, what a great idea for the fireworks.
Sorry about your shortness of breath.

We usually have home made noise makers in the neighborhood for a day or two before a holiday. That has not happened this year. I have heard nothing and had not realized it until now.
I went to church this morning, stopped at Wendyís for the strawberry salad and came home.
I did get the trash out for early pickup tomorrow but not much else.

Hope you all had a good, safe 4th.

Jane

Jane - we have neighborhood fireworks, but nothing big. Will watch on TV.

SHARON - most fireworks were cancelled around here by the cities that usually put them on.

Happy 4th of July to those that celebrate. It will be a hot one here and humid. What is new. There is a very slight chance of some rain tonight. I found that they will be having the fireworks display but they have moved it to a park where people can watch from their cars and lots of people will be able to see them from their homes near by. I guess I wonít be able to see them this year but that is all right. Yesterday was not as productive a day as the one before. I did do 12 minutes of walking but had 4,619 steps. I didnít move around as much. I was pretty short of breath and just didnít have the energy so didnít push myself. Today is another day. Hope you all have a great 4th and be safe.

Sharon, that was a lot of steps! Good for you!
It is wonderful how much you got done.
I do not mind a morning appointment nor an early afternoon. So I am happy.

Krys, yes, and it is others who get hurt because of it.

This July 4th is the quietest I have ever had. Kind of bummed out but I know it is for the best.
We had a good rain shower this morning and now it is sunny.

Enjoy your 4th!

Jane - you always have some that think they don't have to follow the rules.

Sharon - I agree, would not survive without AC

Here we are at our holiday weekend. It will be hot and humid and uncomfortable for us. We have had a lot of days in the 90s here already this summer and so we will probably be above average. I donít mind the heat so much as I mind the humidity. Yesterday was a productive day for me and I walked 12 minutes and had a total of 6,125 steps for the day. It shows that I was pretty active. I did some cleaning in my kitchen and also dusted and polished the furniture in the bedroom. I watered my plants and picked up dog doo. Lots of little chores got done. Hope today is as productive and maybe a little more walking. I would love to get the bathroom cleaned. Hope you all have a great day.

Krys, I wouldn't make it without my A/C.

Jane hope that is a better time for your appointment. I know the last one was not good for you.

Sharon, sorry about the humidity and heat. I am thankful for my air conditioning.
It is great that you are so active.

Krys, I agree with you except for a few places that are even going against what their governors are saying to do.

I got a call from the clinic that scheduled my appointment for 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The appointment is now 10:30 a.m.

Stay safe!!!

Good morning and it is going to be a hot one with high humidity and sunny with light breeze. I sure wish we could loose the humidity and heat for a few days so I could open up the house and get some fresh air but the 10 day forecast doesnít look promising. This is setting out to be a bad breathing summer for me. I would sure like to get out in the garden and get some more things done before it gets completely away from me again. Yesterday was a fair day with only 8 minutes walking and 4, 112 steps for the day. I did get a load of blankets washed and did some other small chores around the house. I am trying to stay busy and hope the pred really kicks in full force soon. Hope you all have a great day.

Sharon, glad you got the rain without a storm.
Sorry about the probability of a high power bill.
You sure were busy and got a lot of steps with only a short walking period.
Your enchilada and cheesy casserole sounds great.

Krys, we have had just a few daily and no big surge like in Texas and California.

My yardman came and cleaned up my yard today. It looks great. I gave him the bread crusts that I have been saving for his chickens and now he has ducks. Now I have more space in my freezer which is nice.
Guam usually celebrates the fourth of July with fireworks. The Navy will have some on their base.
Our big celebration is Liberation Day on July 21st. That is the day the U.S. military started the take back of Guam from the Japanese at the end of WWII.

Do stay safe everyone.

I woke up to rain this morning and it was needed. It didnít seem to storm so that is good. There was a little thunder and lightning but I think it was more off to the south of us. I sure wish the dew point would go down and I could open up the windows but doesnít seem like that will happen for a while. I sure can see a very high electric bill this month. I have lots of things I can get done in the house so that is good. Yesterday was a pretty good day. I did get some laundry done and walked for 8 whole minutes. I had a total of 4,577 steps for the day. I made a nice chicken enchilada cheesy casserole and it turned out really good. It was pretty easy to make too so that was nice. Hope you all have a good day.

Sharon, I hope you get the rain.
Glad you saw the doctor. Yes, the masks make it hard to breath for everyone but I am sure it is much worse for you. I am selective as to whom I am around.

Krys, the weather here does not change very much unless we get a tropical storm or typhoon. I was fine today.

I went to church this evening and there was almost no one there. One of the families had a graduation party for one of the girls several days ago and someone exposed them. The whole group that was at the party are doing a home quarantine. This is an extended family with the parents, their adult children, grandchildren and in-laws.

Guam may take a step back because we have had some more cases.

I am doing okay but tired of the restrictions.

Do stay safe and well.

Jane - could weather changes be the reason for your achy feeling?

Sharon - your doctor is smart; staying home seems to be the best bet these days.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, I'll pass it on.

Good morning. It is so muggy this morning. It will not be quite as hot but the dew point will be around 70. We are looking at storms this afternoon and into the night so hope it turns out we just get lots of rain but no storms. We can really use the rain. Did end up at the doctor yesterday and it is the first human contact since February. I do not have blood clots but have inflammation in the veins with no infection. He put me on a round of prednisone for my breathing and said it would also help the feet and legs some. He gave me a prescription cortisone cream to use also. Sure hope these things work and sure hope that I donít get sick now that I have been out, I really found out that the masks make it so hard for a person with breathing problems to breathe. He did tell me that I should definitely go to my pulmonary appointment next month otherwise to stay home away from people because I am one of those in the high risk group. I will listen to my doctor. We did a round of blood work and my sodium and all other levels are excellent so that makes me very happy. Maybe I will be able to get some things done this week with the prednisone. LOL. No walking yesterday and only 2, 870 steps for the day. Have a good day.

Krys, Happy Birthday to your husband.

Jane, sure hope you aren't getting sick. Glad you had lunch with friends.

Sharon, I do hope your legs feel better soon and your doctor replies quickly.
Thank you as yes the cane is much easier to handle.

Krys, tell your Hubby emoticon Happy Birthday from Guam.

I picked up one of the ladies we have lunch with this morning and on the way there ran into a looooong line of cars waiting to be tested for the virus. I managed to get around the line and took another route to our lunch. We tried a restaurant that we have not been to before because our oldest lady was not sure where it was. She is not driving right now and should be able to get there when we go back. I drove her home and pointed out that the restaurant is across from a parking garage for one of our hotels.
I have not done much else because I am achy today and not sure why. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Have a great day and be safe.

Good morning. It has been a tough weekend. My feet and legs due to the fluid and swelling have really been sore and they get really red and hot by the time night rolls around. The pain in the shin area is quite severe so have contacted the doctor by email and will wait to see what he wants me to do. I always worry about blood clots and sure donít need those. I got out early yesterday and got the watering done and filled bird feeders and bird baths,. I only had about 2,320 steps due to the pain in the leg. Hope it is nothing serious and maybe a little heat will help. Hope you all have a good day.

Jane, glad you were able to just go with the cane. So much nicer.

Krys, Guam has social distancing at our beaches. It is the same as elsewhere.

Sharon, sorry you are having trouble breathing. I find I has trouble when wearing a mask.

I got up early and went grocery shopping this morning. I did not take the walker but just the cane.
This afternoon I had an eye exam that should have been in April. I was tested for glaucoma and other signs of the aging process and have a slight stigmatism in one of my eyes. My son brought me home in my car after his wife dropped him off. I will get my new glasses in three or four weeks as the lenses are prepared in the states.
Again, just took the cane.

Stay well and safe.

It is sunny out this morning but dew points are very high and it is going to get in the 90s. I will get out and water the flowers and then come in and work inside today. Much too hot to work outside, I did get some things done outside yesterday so very happy for that. I didnít get many steps in but also didnít get any walking in. I had a really tough breathing day with the humidity. Steps were only 2,707. Will try to do better today. Hope you all have a good day,

Roz, I love mangos but cannot peal them because they give me a rash. The mango is a relative of the poison oak/poison ivy family.
In Hebrews 10:25, ďNot forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day.Ē Others may need you there. That said, do be safe. You know what is best for you and your family.

Krys, I do agree about not opening the island to visitors yet.

Guam is now naming ďhot spotsĒ as ďareas of concern.Ē That includes several countries and states. Before, all the states were listed as hot spotsÖ Anyone coming from one of the ďareas of concernĒ will be under an automatic 14 day quarantine either at home or at a hotel with guards. All visitors are quarantined at a hotel.

I enjoyed church this morning and afterwards stopped for take out at Jamacian Grill. I had something new for me. It was okay but I will not order it again.

Stay safe and well everyone.

Hope everyone is keeping safe and as well as can be expected.
I'm good enough I'm at that stage where someone told me today that I have put on weight and I couldn't defend it because it's true,
I have only myself to blame for consuming too many mangoes over the past few weeks so now I've to get back to basics and throw off those few pounds,
The beaches have reopened but because I have the grand girls with me during the week I cannot go as yet.
Our churches have also reopened but I've not been as yet .I'm getting such good service everyday on line that I think I'm good for now,
Take care everyone keep safe,
Much Love,
Roz.

Sharon, you garden sounds lovely.
Hopefully the insurance company will pay for the shots as I have met the deductible and out of pocket for this year which means I am not supposed to pay anything. Yes, those shots are expensive. I will be getting chemo once a month for the rest of this year or for a year. Not sure which.

Krys, I agree that medical things are very expensive.

Our governor has changed her mind about having tourist from Korea, Japan and Taiwan come starting in July. I am glad because I do not think it is safe.
I have not done much today but I do plan to go to church tomorrow.

Stay safe and well.

It is Friday. I am looking forward to a lovely day in the low 80s with sunshine, low humidity and light breeze. Yesterday got hot at 90 with high humidity. We did get some rain but no storms so that was good. Not sure how much rain but a couple of nice showers and there will more coming next week. I did walk 12 minutes and had a total of 4, 216 steps for the day. I got all my plants except 4 in the ground and also dug up the ground and planted some beets and bush green beans so it was a very productive day. I also got the flowers watered. It feels good to get it done. I will try get the last of the plants in the ground today if not too wet. I have several things I want to do today and will work outside as long as I can. Tina will get groceries today for me and Marshall will mow. Hope you all have a great day.

Krys, I do feel much better. Thank you.

Jane, so hope they can figure out the cost of those shots as I am sure they are very expensive. Not something you need. Hope you are doing better now that the chemo is behind you and things are back to normal. It is hard when our day is so turned around and we don't get our meds or things on time.

Sharon, sorry about yesterday. Hope today is better and you get the things you want done.

Krys, I do agree.

I am better today. Things were rough yesterday with the delayed chemo and everything.

More has come out about the airmen. They got contaminated by an employee at the hotel they were staying at. They were restricted in that they were to go to work and back to the hotel and get essentials they need but went to restaurants around the island thinking they were good. The bottom line is they did not bring the virus to the island but got it here. The bottom line is they are young and healthy so should be fine as most people are. There will be military repercussions for them because they went to see the sights. That has always been a perk of coming to Guam but not at this time.

I looked into my insurance things and the shots have been denied. I spent much of the day seeing what can be done to correct this. The clinic has an agreement with the insurance company that they do not need pre-authorization to do a procedure. Now the clinic and insurance company will have to figure it out. I hope I do not have to pay because it is very expensive.

Stay safe

Jane

Good morning all. We are looking at a good warm up into the 90s and humid. Today will be near 90, sunny in the morning and clouding up this afternoon with wind. It looks like we could get some rain this afternoon into the evening. Will like that without the storm. We could use the rain. Hope to get out early and get what I need to done in the garden before it rains. Yesterday was not a good day. I didnít even walk. It was a total rest day. Hope today is much better and that you all have a good one too.

Krys, our island has taken a big hit. What is sustaining us is the Federal Government sending the stimulus checks and helping with unemployment checks.

Our governor wants to open tourism to Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. People coming from the states and Hawaii still must quarantine either at home or in a hotel with quarantine facilities.
The EU is not allowing people from the states to come in nor are they allowing other countries.

My urologistís clinic did not send the information to the cancer clinic. I was early but taken in late and then the delay before the doctor spoke to the other doctor so the chemo did not get put in until 12:00 p.m. or later. I was to take medicine at 1:00 p.m. that did not happen until fourish. When I went out the girl made my appointment for 11:00 a.m. next time and I asked for an earlier time like 9:30 or 10:00. It is for 10:00 next month. I will receive a treatment every month either until the end of the year or for a full year.

Four ships pulled into Guam on Wednesday. The sailors are restricted to pier side and a beach on Naval Base. They are to have no contact with the local community or with the base community while they are here. The navy is taking no chances of one of the sailors being exposed. They have been at sea for three months already so are very safe.

Stay safe friends.

Jane

Sharon, good to hear your garden is doing nicely.
Hope you can clear Hailleyís skin up.
I was not so furious as frustrated with myself about locking myself out. I got three new house keys today and two keys to my postal lock box. I am also keeping a key in my car.

Krys, yes the locksmith was a blessing.

I got a blood draw for the chemo tomorrow and will discuss with the cancer doctor the results from the urologist tomorrow.

The Air Force brats really disobeyed their command, went around the island went to several restaurants before the one showed symptoms. They were to stay at the hotel and work but not anything else.
They went to Jeffís Pirates Cove where I had lunch three weeks ago. I hope it was after my friends and I were there. I plan to call the owner tomorrow.
Our governor is talking about opening Guam to flights from Taiwan, Japan and South Korea, July 1st. Not sure how I feel about that.

Stay safe everyone.

Jane - oh my goodness, how scary to be without a house key. It was nice of the locksmith to come to your rescue a second time!

Sharon - happy to hear that Hailley is doing quite well.

It is a beautiful morning. It is cool with beautiful sunshine and will be in the mid 70s with a little wind. I am going to get out and work in the garden some more today. Yesterday was a good day and I got a lot done in the garden. I did a lot of hoeing and planted some more flowers. Today I hope to get close to done with the flowers. I did walk 12 minutes and had a total of 4,785 steps for the day. Hailley got her hair cut and she does have some hot spots on her that I am working on but her skin looks pretty good otherwise. Hope everyone has a great day.

Krys, weather does have an affect on people with copd. I am not sure what really triggers the severe breathing problems. It just seems to happen. Hailley looks pretty good and is a happy girl with her haircut. I have flowers, tomato plant, pepper plant, cucumbers and will put in some green beans seeds today and some beet seeds today also. It is not to late for them.

Jane, I am so sorry about locking yourself out of the house but to have it happen twice in the same day must have you furious. Good thing he didn't charge you for the second time, Someday you might be able to laugh at the story.

Sharon, glad you had a good day and your garden is doing well.
I agree that many are being foolish about the virus but I also feel if we are careful being around some people is okay.

Krys, the men feel the crowd was due to Fatherís Day. If another Sunday has almost quarantine compacity crowds then they will rethink the services.

Today was!!! I went to pick up a friend for lunch and found I had left my purse in the house. The house was locked and no other key available. I called my son because I had my cell in my pocket but he was not available and was not sure if he had a key to my house because he probably has thrown it away. I called one of the other ladies who I was to have lunch with, she picked me up and the lady I was to pick up. After lunch we figured out how to call a locksmith and made an appointment for him to come to my house to the tune of $60. My friend dropped me off and the locksmith showed up right on time. I got in the house and ended up going to sleep and when I woke up took what I thought were keys to the house. Went outside, closing and locking the door. The keys did not work. My cell was in the house charging and I was stuck. A bit later the young man across the street came out to feed his dog and I asked for his help. He tried to jimmy the door but it did not work so with his help I called the locksmith again. He was on a job so I sat in my car for almost an hour before he came and opened the door. The big blessing is HE DID NOT CHARGE ME! I now have a key in my car for the door and will get more keys made again soon.

ďGetting old ainít for sissiesĒ!!!

Jane - church might need to come up with some plans if more people keep coming. Glad the cane is helping you out.

Sharon - is it the weather change that causes your medical issues? What grows in your garden? How's Hailley?

Good morning. It is going to be sunny here with temps in the 70s and light breeze, It will be a perfect day for me to get out in the yard and get some gardening done. I really need to get at the weeding. I think I can hoe a lot of it out. I still have some plants to get in the ground so will work on that too. Hailley will get her hair cut and things should be pretty good today. Yesterday was a day of leisure, I had 3,101 steps for the day so didnít really get much done. Hope you all have a good day.

Jane, I have not been anywhere since this started and have not been with family either. I do not want to see any more spreading of this virus,. I would like to see the end. I am doing my part but others just don't seem to care,

Sharon, sorry to hear you are not feeling well.
Glad to hear Hailley is getting a haircut.

The Air Force unit now has 35 who have tested positive for the virus. Not sure how large the whole unit is.

It is lovely weather here and if it does not rain tonight I may have to water some of my plants tomorrow.
I am using my cane in the house now but I think I will take the walker when I go out tomorrow.

Do be careful so the virus does not spread anymore than it has.

Good morning. It is sunny here and going to be a lovely day in the mid 70s with light wind. I can take those kind of days. It did rain some again last night so that was good. I will see what I can get done outside today. The last couple of days have been very tough with breathing. Yesterday I didnít even walk so only had 1,917 steps for the day. I am going to move today even if it is very slow. I an having some trouble with the neck and shoulder so trying not to overdo it and also have had a lot of fluid in the ankles and they were really swollen and causing pain in them. It will go away. It usually happens at least once or twice a year. Hailley gets a haircut tomorrow so will be glad to have that done with. Hope you all have a great day.

Krys, thank you, I hope none of the locals come down with the virus also.

I went to church this morning and enjoye the fellowship. Our crowd was a little bigger today. Not sure what the plan is if this continues.
Guam had a solar eclipse this evening about sun down. I tried to watch it but it was too cloudy. This one was a ring of fire because when the moon was over the sun there was still a little sun visible because of where the moon is in relation to the sun.
I called and wished my local son a Happy Fatherís Day. He was outside with the girls setting up a fence for the dogs.
As of Saturday, Guam time, there were 22 service personal with the virus. They are all from the same unit that was brought in May 25th for TDY.

Hope your families have a good Fatherís Day.

Sharon, glad your weather was better and you got more walking in.

Krys, sorry your weather is so hot.

I have not done much today but I did get a call from my friend and we talked for awhile.

The Air Force now has 15 service personnel who have tested positive for the virus. Because they did not check before billeting them in one of our hotels we have no idea of how many local people will come down with the virusÖ
We were having one or fewer cases per day before this.

Do stay safe.

The rain has stopped and it will be a lovely day today. It will be in the 70s and low dew points with light breeze. Couldnít ask for a better day. Yesterday was a little better with 16 minutes walking and 4,117 steps for the day. I did a few things around the inside of the house and Tina brought me some fresh asparagus and had some for dinner. It was so good. Hope today is a good one for all.

Krys, I don't use meat in this one but you could also use ham. I think that would be great with the vegetables.

Jane, so glad you are done with the shots and that you are able to use the cane more now. Hope that it continues and that you can put the walker away for a later time in your life. I don't even talk about covid19 because I am so thoroughly disgusted with how they are handling it. Hope the vaccine is ready soon.

Sharon, sorry the heat affects your feet and legs causing them to swell.
Dogs like kids love to play in the rain and mud.
Glad the rain has cooled things off.

Krys, I believe it is just a matter of time before a vaccine is found. I do not plan to be a guinea pig for it though.

I got the last Hyalgan shot today. Hallelujah! The doctor took another 5 cc of fluid from under my kneecap first. I am using the cane more now and hopefully will not need the walker anymore. I will not throw it away because I am getting older.

Another airman has tested positive for COVID-19! I am angry because our govoner has been so careful to quarantine people who have come to the island and the Air Force put these people in one of our hotels without screening them. Yes, we did have Navy people in the hotels while the USS Theodore Roosevelt was here but they had all been screened before and were negative. They were still quarantined and restricted to their rooms.

We have had only one or two residents show positive a day for weeks with some days none and that is with extensive testing.

Okay, off the tangent for now.

Jane on Guam

We had rain overnight and not sure how much or how hard because I didnít wake up to it. It is still raining very lightly this morning. Of course Hailley had to go out and go under the deck where it is all muddy so she was not my favorite. I made here run around on the driveway until she got most of the mud off. Good thing she has small feet. LOL. It was so hot and humid yesterday. I felt really good but it was one of those days where I just had no get up and go. I sat down at noon and ended falling asleep and slept till about 2:30. I must have needed the sleep. I walked 12 minutes and got a total of 2,824 steps for the day. Not too impressive. LOL. I guess my body needed the extra rest. I have had swelling in my ankles and feet and they are sore from it so it is a little harder to walk. It is going down now and it is something that always seems to happen to me in the hot summer. Today I am feeling good so far so hope I can get some things done inside. Hope your day is a good one.

Krys, I put broccoli, cauliflower, cherry tomatoes, green pepper, cucumber, ripe olives, green onions and the pasta and anything else you want. I use a creamy Italian dressing and love the little shell pasta or rings work well too.

Jane, it is hot for us and it is also very humid. I agree that we are going to need a vaccine for this virus. Hope it comes soon, Glad you are walking better and hope it continues.

Sharon, 98ļF is hot! The temperatures here run in the high 80ís to low 90ís most of the time but the humidity is up there.
Glad you got your salad made and are enjoying it.

Krys, it would be good if the virus disappeared but we will probably need a vaccine before that really happens.

I deposited all the checks today but have not done much else.

It is hump day and going to be a hot one. Yesterday was 98 with high dew points and strong winds. Today will be much the same only there are chances of severe thunderstorms moving in with a cold front this evening. I would take the rain but hope not the storms. The heat and wind really dry things out. I will need to get out and water the flowers again this morning and hope it rains so I donít have to do it again tonight. It is 74 right now and the dew point is 64 so quite muggy. Yesterday was a good day but must not have moved as much because steps were down. I walked 12 minutes and had 3,625 steps for the day. I did get out and clean up after Hailley and filled the bird baths and watered the flowers and fed the birds. I also washed my chair blanket and Hailleys blanket. I need to do this quite often due to Hailleys skin condition. I also finally got my vegetable pasta salad made and it sure is good. I love a good salad. Hope you all have a good day.

Sharon, glad you had such a good day.
Well said about the manners.

Krys, travel at this time is out. Perhaps in the fall to see the fall colors if things have made a major turn around. Part of the reason is my knees and the chemo.

My knees are not hurting as much today and I used the cane in the house instead of the walker. I did go to church this evening and took the walker as some of my walking was over rough terrain.
I tried to help with the signing this evening but found I have forgotten so much since I have not been around the deaf. One of the men stepped in after leading in music and setting up the video equipment. I was so thankful.
I think I got things straight with the insurance company so will be cashing several checks that are reimbursements for money I paid.

Stay safe and well.

Good morning on the hot humid day. It will be mostly sunny today with highs in the upper 90s and some wind. Dew points will be in the upper 60ís. We are at 72 already this morning and dew point is 63. I will not be working outside except to water the plants and clean up after Hailley. Yesterday was a fairly good day. I walked 12 minutes and had a total of 4,549 steps. I did 4 loads of laundry and did get the watering done and did some extra little chores in the house. Still didnít get my pasta salad made so will do that for sure today because I want to have it with a hamburger tonight. Hope you all have a good day.

Krys, steps are up and down right now. Yesterday was good.

Jane, I have learned over the years to be pleased when someone offers to help me as it shows signs of good breeding and manners. It is appreciated.

Sharon, you are doing better about your yard than I am mine. If it doesnít rain the plants go dry. I have lost a lot over the years and have not replaced them except for the Crown Plant. Part of that is because I have been gone for four to eight weeks in the summer except this year.

Krys, at this time I work at being independent. The thing is I need to be gracious when others want to help and let them. One of the places I really appreciate someone helping with a door is at malls and stores that have swinging doors.

I had lunch with my Tuesday Lunch Bunch and then went to my health insurance office to get some things straightened out. I was there over an hour and the young man will have to call me after he makes some calls stateside tomorrow morning. I have been sent checks that I have no idea why and bills that are the same. Also, the insurance company does not have a contract with my urologist so I get billed, pay it and then have to submit a reimbursement request.
Guam has had few people show signs of the virus so gyms, daycares and other establishments are opening. We are also getting people in from the Philippines and Japan who are going into automatic 14 day quarantine at a hotel.

Stay safe everyone.

Jane - I know you were relieved that the washer works. I'm fairly independent as well but when I broke my hip I wound up relying on a lot of help.

Sharon - how were your steps today? I find this hot weather makes it harder to breathe especially when combined with high humidity.

Well here we are on another Monday. It is partly cloudy and will be hot, 90s, with high winds and partly cloudy skies. Not a good day for working in the yard. I will water and that will be about it. I do have laundry to do so will work on that. Yesterday was a very bad day for breathing so stayed in and relaxed. Had 12 minutes of walking and 3, 1232 steps for the day. Not very good. Today will be better I hope but time will tell. Hailley is slowly improving again and she is already due for a haircut next week. Time is going by so fast. Hope you all have a good day.

Krys, hailley is improving slowly. Glad the headache is gone.

Jane, sounds like you did enough. Good to stay busy.

Sharon, thank you for the well wishes.
Hope the day was not so humid so you could get outside for awhile.

Krys, one of the things I really like about Guam is the help and care given to the older people. I am learning to be gracious and accept help when I tend to be so independent.
Glad your headache is gone.

I got up early to go grocery shopping and then looked for and found paperwork I need to take to the insurance company tomorrow.
I did get a load of laundry done and found my washer is fine. I was afraid I was going to have to call the repairman.
I havenít done much else.

It is going to be a windy but sunny and warm day,. It will be in the 80s which isnít too bad. I will get out and get some more done in the yard. I did get some things that need doing done yesterday and was very happy with the day. It felt good to get something done. I did some walking and did get some steps in so that was also a good thing. Hope to do as well today. We might have some rain tomorrow and it will be very hot so probably wonít get outside to do anything then. Hope today is a good day for all.

Sounds like we are all battling some problems right now. Krys hope the sinus headache is better and Jane sure hope things improve enough so you can get rid of the walker.

Krys, a sinus headache is no fun.

I did attend service this morning which was nice. There were more people there today than last week. We had a new deaf lady there which was nice and the interpreter was there today. When I went to my car one of the teenage boys came over and helped me with the walker.
I stopped for take out on the way home at a Jamaican Grill restaurant. I parked in a handicapped place and then walked over. The restaurant is only doing carry out so after I placed my order I moved my car closer so the order could be brought to me. Next time I will park at their pick up area and order.
I got the trash out this afternoon using the walker. That is a challenge.

Have a great day everyone!

Sharon, glad the weather is allowing you to get outside.
Sorry Hailleyís skin is not doing well.
I agree with Krys that your family is a blessing in the help they give you.

Krys, hope you have a good day.

Another quiet day. I have actually slept a lot off and on. Not sure what is going on.
I am planning to go to church tomorrow.

Stay safe and well friends.

Good morning. Going to be a lovely day today and I know that I will get out in the sunshine. It wonít be too windy so a good outside day. Tina will get my groceries and Marshall will mow so will get things ready for them. Yesterday I did get some walking in and got a few things done in the house. It was a good day. Enjoy your Friday.

Jane, glad you were able to get help getting to your car. Hailley is starting to have a little outbreak again so really into the baths again and just finishing up her prednisone treatment.

Sharon, thank you!
Glad you had a good day.
How is Hailley?

Krys, you gave me a chuckle.

I got another shot in the knee today. (One more to go.) The parking lot, especially the handicapped area is all torn up so I had to walk up a short hill to get into the facility. I asked the PR person at the clinic I was at and he explained that all the work is underground but while the excavation is going on they cannot have cars parking in the area. I told him I was concerned about getting back into my car so he said that when I was ready they would send someone down with me to help if a different car blocked the access to my car. All the young man had to do was hold my car door but that was a great help because getting my legs and walker in the car on a slant would have been almost impossible.

Stay safe and well everyone.

Good morning. It is sunny here this morning and will be in the mid 70s. A lovely day but will be windy. I can take the wind. I will try get a few things done outside and inside both. Lots of things to do but never enough time or energy. LOL. Yesterday was not too bad a day. I did get some things done and took some time for myself too. I finished a book I was reading and took a nap. I did some walking. Hope you all had a good day.

Jane, a little dance of joy here. So glad that the news was so good and sure you are feeling better.

Sharon, glad you got a cooler day and rain that you needed.

Roz, Hafa Adai back!

I saw the urologist today and my bladder is clear! PTL!!! I go back in six months unless the cancer doctor wants it sooner. I have not done much else today because the whole thing exhausts me. I was thankful for the walker because it made it much easier to get up on and off the table which always scares me because the step is so small. I may take it with me in December even if I am not using it then.

Have a good day everyone.

Jane

Yesterday was a rainy day and it was cool. It got into the 60s and was very windy. We really needed the rain so it was so nice to get some. I did some walking and got a few small projects done around the house. Hope to get a lot more done today. Hope you all have a great day.

Sharon, Sorry it is so hot.
I have no choice as to the insurance company as our governor decided the one we have. I have been trying to get them to fix that the lab keeps sending me check even though I have not paid the lab for anything since January. Now this thing with the urologist.

Krys, I have had the check for a few weeks but getting it deposited has been another matter.

Today has been a very quiet day although I
did get a load of laundry done.

Today will be cool, cloudy and rainy. Yesterday was 92 with the dew points in the 70s so very hot and day before was 98. We did get some high winds and rain the last two nights with some wind but nothing to severe. I did walk and get a few things done in the house yesterday. I also took some time for just me. Hope you day was good and today will be better.

Jane, I really hate dealing with insurance companies. Hope you can get it cleared up soon. Good your were able to get out and enjoy lunch.

My Tuesday Lunch Bunch got together today. We drove down to Jeffís Pirates Cove and sat out where there was a nice breeze. I was delighted to see several people whom I have known for years. One was a young man that I taught kindergarten to many years ago. He was in my class two years because of health issues that kept him out of school and in the hospital for several weeks. One of the other ladies knows him and his family because she works with Special Olympics and he has participated in that for sometime.
On the way home I stopped at my bank and deposited my stimulus check.

Stay safe.

Sharon, you are wise not to be out in the heat.
I am sure the birds like the clean water in the birdbath.
I am sure your children are being very careful especially if they are working where they may get contaminated.

Krys, I do plan to have lunch with some friends tomorrow. We will be eating at a restaurant that has a good covering but is open on the sides and they have placed the tables for social distancing. I am trying to be careful where I go and who I am around.

My BF stopped by and we chatted outside this evening. She also brought the trash bins up away from the road. She is so sweet.
I am ready to spit nails. My urologist does not have a contract with my insurance company so when I go in on Thursday I will have to pay $407. for the procedure and $796. for the surgery I had in January. I will then have to take the receipts to the insurance company and see what reimbursement I can get.
What really upsets me is I have not paid for lab work since February when I met my out of pocket and the lab keeps sending checks to me. I have asked the insurance company to get this fixed but it has not happened.

Stay safe and well.
