Hi ladies,

My eye was better when got up in the morning. We are in phase two of the reopening of Montana. I went for a picnic with a friend and her 8, 5 and 2 year old children yesterday. It was nice.

I did something to my right shoulder. I made an appointment to have it looked at and hopefully get an cortisone injection in it. That will be tomorrow. Today I saw my psych doctor online.

We had a little rain yesterday. Expecting more in the next couple days.

Had my hair cut today. It looks and feels so much better.

I really didn't do anything special for the keto meal. We had a spinach and carrot salad. My friend made dressing. I cooked a roast and chicken breasts. They brought keto biscuits and chocolate, chocolate chip donuts. It was pretty tasty.

Have an awesome rest of your week!!

Good evening, ladies, it has been raining for a couple of days, it is supposed to end by Friday.

Pam, it is supposed to be 60 degrees on Sunday and for us that is warm for this time of the year. I am glad that we do not get the heat that you do. Yes, absolutely, you need a break from the kids and have some time for yourself or for you and your husband. Any news on when the bar can reopen? I can't believe only one more day left of April.

Angie, how did you make out with your eye? What kind of a keto meal did you make?

Hello Ladies,

It's my fourth day of NOT walking. Now it is really hot outside. I need to go early in the day. Starting tomorrow!!! It's nice to hear you both had company. I think we might have my bother in law and wife over for cards Sunday. Right now I babysit every night but she can take them to work or daddy can stay home and watch them. I need a break :)
How is your eye Angie?

Stay safe and well .....Pam

Good evening, ladies, spent the whole day outside. We had friends over and canoed and fished in our pond and had fish for dinner - social distancing of course, it was nice to get together with friends.

Pam, I usually shower every other day but now it's like every three days. I literally have to force myself to get in the shower. I feel much better when I do, it's just like I don't feel like it, I know, weird. I am still tracking my food and it really helps. I did not lose any weight this week.

Angie, so strange about your eye. I wonder if you broke a blood vessel. I hope they can see your or are doctor's appointments online, too? You are right, we don't go back to school until Fall.

Hi ladies,

I woke up with a painful red eye. Never had anything like this. Still hurts now. I called the nurse health line. They will call me back.

I am having a couple from church over to dinner. They eat a Keto diet. Made a few adjustments to my menu. He is also going to give me the sacrament.

Pam,
Not sure when we can return to church. The new polo shirts were a bit of an impulse buy. But I love them.

Mary,
Sounds like u are not going back to school until September??

Have a great Sunday. emoticon emoticon

Hello Ladies,

It looks very nice outside today. Time for a shower and my walk. Didn't walk yesterday but I cleaned my house :). Our part of the house is small but I hate housework. It seems the less you do the less you want to. I'm so lazy sometimes!!!

Angie thats so nice you got out and can go back to your church. New clothes always feels good. I was trying to find a nice blouse for my daughters graduation but no luck yet and not sure when the graduation will be if they still have one.

Mary, glad you can get out too. I love goats they are so cute! You have a wedding to look forward to how exciting.

I didn't have the best week I gained 2 lbs and my blood sugar was higher than I like today. I have been eating more nuts (high calories) and non diet ice cream. It showed :(

I just really need to try harder. Have a nice day ladies and be safe ... Pam

Angie, it was gorgeous here, today, too. I spent the day outside with Leo and the goats and dogs and made the mistake of starting to clean out a few closets! I am glad that you will be able to continue with your treatments. Hoping this will start opening up around here again, too. I am glad I can see my homeopathic doctor. I had such a good week with exercise and eating and I gained a pound! I was so depressed about that this morning but put things in perspective and just continuing what I am doing.

Hi Ladies,

Went to the doctor yesterday for my trigger point in my muscles along my spine.

I have been doing it every couple weeks until this Covid 19 happened. Now they have the go ahead to start them again. emoticon

My doctor is a 3rd year resident and leaving in June. I don't want to go where he is going to be practicing, so he is teaching someone that will be there how to do them.

Beautiful day out today. Lots of sunshine. Going to either go someplace a walk or just get out in the sun in my back yard.

My weight is stable. My scale is the same as the doctors scale.

emoticon to all!!

Angie, yes, Tim is planning on getting married in October. I sure hope they will be able to keep their plans, they have been planning for two years. So many people have had to change their plans.

Got through another day, it was sunny and nice out today and spent some time outside this afternoon. I worked at school this morning. Sure is strange working at school and not having the kids there. I am going to try and not do any school work this weekend and motivate myself to do something around the house or outside.

Good evening, ladies, I think this is definitely getting to all of us. I felt really crabby and irritable today, but only with Dave. How can you help but get on each other's nerves. I worked at school for half the day and despite the cold, I ended up getting outside.

Angie, I am glad you will be able to get out soon and I am glad you were able to get some new clothes. I can't wait to go shopping, I have never had luck ordering anything online. I need to find a dress for Tim's wedding in October, hopefully, everything will be okay and we will be able to celebrate at that time. I hope everything works out with your sleep study and finding the right machine. Both Dave and Tim have sleep apnea and it took a few times to get the machines right.

Pam, I can relate to your husband being crabby. It is so hard to have your entire life turned upside down and have everyone confined together. I hope these restrictions will be lifting soon. I also hope the weather improves as it helps when the sun is shining and we can get outside.

Hi ladies,

So good to have this forum going again. emoticon

I had ordered some shirts and a hoodie before this whole mess with Covid 19. I finally got them yesterday. I am looking forward to church starting cause I will have the new shirts to wear.

My friend that runs the distribution center at the temple is slowly opening it up. Friday I will dress up in a skirt and new shirt and go help her. I can start going into the NAMI office to volunteer again next week.

This has been hard on me. I think I have gained some weight. Haven't stepped on the scale in about 2 weeks. With the telemedicine calls I don't get weighed when I see my docs!!!

Pretty soon I will have my second sleep study. They will have me wear a c pap and see which one fits best.

Wow!! For not having much to say I sure posted quite a bit.

Pam so glad u have been posting.

Mary I hope some of this warm air does get to u!!

Hello Ladies, Wow I can't believe it's been that long. Feels like a couple of days since my last post :) Sorry about that. We have had some very warm days but today is rainy and cool. Not much changing here . Our schools are closed until September. I just really would like the bars to reopen . My hubby is getting cranky. We aren't even in May yet and they are talking the middle or end of May. Well not much to talk about glad to hear we are all hanging in there. hopefully we will all be out enjoying spring real soon :) Take care. Wow Mary 100 pounds !!!

Angie, it was very cold and windy here today. It is supposed to get down to 19 degrees tonight, so I hope your warm weather will be coming this way. It felt good to get out of the house today. So much we take for granted, hopefully, everyone will be more appreciative of the little things when this is all over and also more kindness. emoticon

Good evening ladies,

73 degrees today. Probably just a teaser. Seems to early for it to really be this warm.

I went to the bread store. Was good to get out. Stayed home the last two days, except to get a prescription and my dark chocolate.

Mary
So good that you guys do food boxes for your students. They do it here too. No decision past April 24 about whether the biggest school district in Billings will close for the year. Other schools surrounding Billings have already closed. Doing distance learning.

Good afternoon, ladies, worked on food boxes this morning for the students at school. They have pick up every Tuesday and it takes all morning to assemble the boxes. We do social distancing and wear masks and gloves. It is nice to be around others. Now, I am ready for a nap. I have been napping each day, partly because I am tired and partly because I want the day to go faster. It is nice and sunny out today but extremely windy.

Hope you all are hanging in there, staying positive and healthy!

Okay, ladies, it is official, I am 100 pounds down from my heaviest weight. This picture was taken at the time when I first joined WW. I weighed in at 254.2. I thought I had destroyed all the pictures of me at my heaviest but my mom had this one. My first thought was to rip it up but then I thought maybe I should keep it, maybe it will inspire me and maybe it will inspire others.

Angie, we are all in the same boat, having to encourage one another through all of this, it is hard for everyone. I find myself napping every day just to make the day shorter. I am thankful when it is sunny because it helps my mood. We are in this together and it will soon be over, we can do this!

Hi Ladies,

I don't do well being at home more than 2 days. I have a park that is still open. It has a lake and lots of geese and ducks, walking path and a couple shelters to just sit, if u want.

My friend made me a cloth mask. If I do go into public I wear it. I washed it today.

I am tracking my food about 75 % of the time. Getting about 10 minutes of walking in most days.

I don't think our shelter in place has been extended yet. My friend said her boys school is done for the year. They are 8 and 5. The Billings Public school haven't said yet if they will go back. Pretty sure that graduation is off.

All my appointments are online except my chiropractor.

Our Connection support group at NAMI is online twice a week. So good to have that.

That's about it. Not much positive to say. Can't make myself check this everyday. Or I check it and don't comment. Sorry ladies.

Good morning, ladies, I think this isolation is getting to everyone. Dave and I have a huge house to share but even we are getting on each other's nerves, especially when the weather is grey and gloomy.

Pam, you make me so thankful that I do not have little children to watch. I remember how hard it was when my kids were little and my husband was traveling, which left me alone with them. I could handle it then, because I was younger. I would not have the energy or patience to do it now and I give you a lot of credit. I would encourage you to try and log your food, it will pay off, just like forcing yourself to walk. It is difficult not to turn to food during stressful times. I can't have any junk food in the house. I am much less likely to overeat on healthy food. Tracking my food and checking off boxes makes me feel like I am accomplishing something and I really need that right now.

We brought Leo home from the stable yesterday and I was hoping it would be nice out to spend some time outside. It is so windy! I will try to get out this afternoon.

Angie, how are you doing with all of these restrictions? Our restrictions have been extended through May 26th. Some days I feel like this will never end.

Hello Ladies, Boy I just don't know what to think anymore. I don't sleep well ever and then having to babysit it's really hard. Freddie reminds me of his Mom. He does what he wants and he will pay the price for doing it. I said Freddie please don't dump the toy box out because he was leaving he looks right at me and dumps it out then runs laughing all the way and goes where I can't get to him. It's only about 3 hours a night seems like 20 :) . He is peeing in the potty but not pooping yet. I skipped walking for 2 days but made myself go today... I'm not writing my food down. That would probably help me lose. I'm just kind of staying the same. Just glad I'm not gaining. OK enough about me !!!

Sounds like you both are just trying to get through this weird stuff we are going through. It's just so strange. Not sure how much of a shut down you are having. It's weird here. No school until September. They are doing some internet stuff just to keep it going a little. There is still plenty of traffic out there. The golf coarse is still open and to go food. Time to go fix dinner
Take care and stay well

Good morning, ladies,

It is cloudy here today as well. It sure makes a difference in my mood. I have been doing lots of work from home. It is difficult because I normally don't take my work home with me and lately I feel like I am working all the time. Trying to stay on track with food and exercise. I do know one thing, having sugar is not worth it. I had sugar for Easter and it definitely throws me off.

Angie, I am glad you got some stimulus money. I don't think we will be getting any but sure hope it will help out those who are getting it.

Pam, how are you doing?

Hi Ladies,

I had a nice surprise in my bank account today. I can't believe it is already here.

It will sure help with a couple bills.

Looks cloudy here. No sun today. Our outside door that has a code wasn't working yesterday. Hopefully it gets fixed today. It is the worst feeling when you can't get in the door to your building. emoticon

Happy Easter, everyone, we are expecting a snow storm with up to 10 inches of snow!

Pam, I know I am overdoing it on the food today. We are having our tenant who rents above our garage, join us. Her family is in Florida and she is away for the first time on a new job. I am making ham, home made scalloped potatoes, green bean casserole, corn bread and blueberry cheese cake! How naughty! Dave may be eating leftovers for a long time. I hope you have a relaxing day.

Angie, how are you doing? Are you able to join anyone today or are you by yourself. Christina is in Texas and she is by herself which makes me sad, but she has her little dog and she will be fine. It is hard being away from my family.

Hope you are all staying healthy!

Hello Ladies, Happy Easter ... Hoping everyone is well. We are doing fine. I think this is the first Holiday we aren't feeding everyone. I kind of like it :) There is still 8 of us. We aren't opening for take out food either so I don't have to babysit. I hope to enjoy my day and maybe get a little house work done. Boy oh boy will it be nice to get back to normal. I don't do much but I can if I want. I didn't know I would miss Walmart and lunch on Tuesdays so much :)
Have a great day ladies

Good morning, ladies, I can't believe tomorrow is Easter. I can honestly say it has been a challenge trying to remain positive. It has been so long since I have seen my kids. Dave and I have a tenant living above our garage. This is her first job away from home and we are inviting her to dinner tomorrow. It is supposed to rain and then snow and that is depressing.

Today, however, the sun is shining and I best get outside and enjoy it a bit.

Are you ladies planning anything special?

I hope you are all healthy.

How are you doing, ladies? It was gray and dreary here today, which makes me crabby. I just feel like sleeping when it is like this. However, I had a lot of work to do at home and tomorrow I will be working at school.

I did not get any exercise in today. It will be a miracle if I can muster up some motivation to do an exercise tape, do not think it will happen today.

I need to get to the stable to see Leo and put some medicine in his eye, which is a real challenge.

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.

Each morning when I wake up, I wish I were waking up from a nightmare. This is our new normal for now and trying to make the best of it. However, on gray and gloomy days like today, it is depressing and hard to get motivated. We have a lot of outdoor work to do so Dave and I have been trying to get something done outside each day. Yesterday, I cleaned out the chicken coops and Dave cleaned out the goat pen. Today, we may go out to Dave's brother's house and walk on some new property that he bought. I am still tracking my food each day, some days I feel more hungry than others but the closest thing to junk food that I have in my house is grahm crackers.

Pam, I am glad the kids got Ipads to get some home work done. My friend that went on Ozempic is 65 and has been on diabetes medication for a few years. She had seen a commercial for Ozempic and saw that one of the side effects was weight loss and wanted to try it. She has been doing amazingly well. She said she has desire to eat more than normal portions for the first time in her life. I don't know if it is possible for her to go off medication completely if she loses weight, maybe her blood sugar will go down?

So each staff member got assigned a letter or letters so we can put a message on our FB page for them. It will say: Hello ESSC Students! We miss you! Each of us needed to make our word and take a picture of us with it and our director will put them together. Here is mine, it was windy outside.

Hello Ladies,
Angie that was so nice of your neighbors. I love it. Glad you are doing well and getting out. I take a lot of diabetic meds sorry to say . I'm working on it but I'm not sure if better late than never will work for me. I hope so but I'm not perfect or even close yet. I did get my walk in today :) ...Mary, Hope all is well with you. The kids in the house got ipads from school to do some homework . Get them off the games for a minute!!! What a crazy change to our world. Glad you can connect to your kids. I bet they like it too.
Have a great day :)

Angie, that was very nice of your neighbors to give you a food box. There seems to be a lot of kindness going around with all this isolation, it is good to hear. I have a friend with diabetes who is on Ozempic. She has lost like 40 pounds since she started it, what a great side affect.

Dave and I have been walking each day, want to do that before the wood ticks come out.

I also got baby chicks today, was not going to do that but I miss the chickens and the eggs I was getting. They also control the wood ticks, spiders and ants.

Pam, how was your day?

Hi Ladies,

Just went to get the mail and my neighbors had a box of food they were giving away. They said the got two boxes, so they shared with me and our neighbor. I got strawberries, raspberries, box of mac and cheese and some jumbo size tortilla's.

My other friend that goes to Family Services said they weren't giving away much last week. Especially cause the food comes from grocery stores and there shelves are pretty empty.

I sure like my neighbors. emoticon

I haven't weighed myself in a few days. I was going to the doctor so often when I got out of the hospital that I didn't need to weigh at home. Not going to the doctor as much now.

Not sure I told you ladies that I was diagnosed with Diabetes. Thankfully not on insulin. Taking Metformin. I think that is what is helping me lose weight.

Have a great day!!

Good evening, ladies, I worked from home contacting students and parents today, finding out if everyone has computer and internet to work on their classes. The kids actually miss being in school and so do their parents. It was a very nice day and I got out for a walk with Dave and his mom and sister. We just kept our distance, it was nice to be outside.

Even the geese were practicing social distancing.

Pam, I have felt really hungry lately, too, I am tracking my food and trying to eat fruit when I reach my limit. Good for you for continuing to get your walking in. I have a pap test in June. I do not like going to the doctor any more either, but I am afraid that's just the way it is as we get older.

Angie, so glad you got outside, it really makes a difference, doesn't it? We all need the sunshine and fresh air. I told my students to get outside, too, and some of them did and sent me pictures.

Hi Ladies,

Pam it is so good to hear from u. I am not sure if I mentioned we are doing " Safe at home" orders. Many businesses are closed. Restaurants are carry out or drive thru. Non essential businesses are closed. Doctors visits are on Zoom or other telemedicine ways.

We are allowed to go outside except we have to keep 6 feet away. I went to a nice park the past two days.

I will try to post a picture.

Angie

Hi Ladies,
Oh my Gosh I'm trying to help potty train when I'm babysitting and he just won't do it ugg !!!
Mary I hope you are feeling better. It's not fun going to the Dr. any more. I had a pap smear not to long ago. I have never had an issue with that part and she said if this one is good I shouldn't need another one ever. It was good but it sure made me feel old to never need another one.
Angie it's nice to hear from you. Snow wow I remember those days from eastern Oregon. We had snow on 4th of July. Can't say I miss it but I do some but not this time of year.
I did my walk today. I'm happy about that. The snacking is still a little off but working on it.
Hope all is well we are hanging in there :)

Good morning ladies,

I woke to snow. Glad I took walks earlier in the week. I get my blood draw on the first of the month. Appointment at 3pm then I come home and have teletherapy on the computer. It is a different way to have therapy. It is better than not having it at all.

Next week I have my sleep and respiratory telemedicine appointment.

My blood sugar was high this morning. Probably because I ate a whole dark chocolate candy bar last night.

Had a good breakfast. I need to tackle my dishes. They add up and my sinks are full.
