Dot, we get a lot of squirrels tripping the transformers and shutting off the electricity, They sure do sound like a bomb going off when that happens. It shakes my whole house. The transformer used to be in my back yard. We are getting a little snow and it will be windy but no mention of a blizzard so that is good. it will just be tough travel in the country areas,

Yes Karen we did have a thunderstorm and heavy rain for a short time last night. we were lucky in that the line of storms were north of us...so the bad parts of the storm missed us.

There was no storm today just cold and very windy. I am still wondering what caused the power to go off this afternoon. Have not had any problems since.

All the best stay warm,
Dot

We had lots of wind last night. My power clicked off but came right back on. We got several inches of snow but the storm was not as bad as predicted. I woke up several times & was glad to see the power was still on! Did you have a thunderstorm?

Good Sunday morning all,

Had just finished my breakfast eggs, hash browns, and toast when a very loud pop was heard and the lights went off and everything electrical quit. Just as it had gone off it return and everything was on again. Have no idea what happened. Nothing was happening weather wise outside. The iPad was telling me It was not on line. I went upstairs to see what the desktop was doing....I pressed the button and it had power to come on. I was checking the iPad still with no power when noticed the desktop was no longer on....it had turned itself off I guess. Figured it would take a while for Spectrum to get everything going again, so went to see what the Tv was doing. Channels had changed but it was on.

Probablely a transformer or something had blown...will never know. I am just thankful all is back to normal. The trees are blowing around outside so I imagine that had something to do with it. All the lines have been buried around here but a few streets over the lines are still up. A storm came through last night around 1pm, north of us...could hear it but nothing bad. We had been warned, that is why I was still up, guess I did not get to sleep until after 3pm. I am just not comfortable sleeping through a storm.

Hope all of you with the snow fall are warm and safe.
BBL,
Dot
