Welcome to Holy Heroes Advent Adventure!
Sunday, December 3, is the first day of Advent 2017!
We hope that you will find Holy Heroes Advent Adventure to be a fun and easy way to help your children grow in faith, hope, and charity, while giving you have a more peaceful Advent (so you, too, can prepare for a joyful celebration on Christmas Day)!

This is the loooooongest email you will receive -- but please take a few minutes now to read the below. It walks you through what to expect during your Holy Heroes Advent Adventure!

* * Six-days-a-week daily emails: You'll receive an email for every day in Advent EXCEPT Sunday. This email will link to a DAILY ACTIVITY PAGE (you just click through on the graphic at the bottom of the email to reach the page). That webpage will have everything you need for that particular day in Advent.

Total time on the computer? Probably 5-10 minutes, with activities your children can then quietly enjoy, like pages to color, word searches, crosswords, and so on.

* * * NOTE: we send the emails the day BEFORE they are to be viewed (that is, Monday's will arrive the afternoon of Sunday, Tuesday's on Monday afternoon, and so on). This will give you adults a chance to review everything, if you'd like, before showing it to the children.

* * DAILY ACTIVITY PAGES: Please watch the short video on today's Activity page to familiarize yourself with everything that is there -- so you can choose to do it all or only those things that will interest your children.

* * A Decade-a-Day: Pope Saint John Paul II would lead youth in a "Living Rosary" which included just a "decade-a-day" of the rosary assigned to each youth. So, if it's good enough for a Pope Saint, it's good enough for us! THEN: towards the end of Advent, you'll be able to take a quiz to get "certifiied" in the Joyful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary!

We make this easy for you: Each day there will be an audio link to just one decade from our Holy Heroes Joyful Mysteries Scriptural Rosary CD. Just click on it, and your children can pray along each day with other children. The children will hear a short introduction about the decade, then each “Hail, Mary,” is introduced by a verse from the Scriptural record of the mystery, so children’s imaginations can be captured line-by-line, meditating on all that is contained in the mystery.

We hope this is a good way to develop a love for the rosary and a deeper reflection than simply rushing through the prayers to “get it all in.”

By the end of Advent your children will be not only be able to pray the Joyful Mysteries, but understand them, as well, because they will have prayed just these Mysteries several times, will have heard the Scripture repeatedly, and will have reflected on how these very mysteries relate to preparing for Jesus during Advent. You may find that they have developed habits of mind and heart which can encourage them to pray at least “a decade-a-day” even when Advent is long over.

* * And finally: Throughout the Holy Heroes Advent Adventure, you will see one-day-only deals, special sales, and free offers. We offer them to provide more depth on a particular topic which might be of interest to you or to inspire gift ideas which reinforce the real message of Advent and Christmas, or aid in prayer. (Psst: we still have Advent Candle kits, evergreen Advent wreaths, and brass Advent wreaths.)

Remember: there is no obligation to buy anything, and you can clearly reap the benefits of this "Adventure" free of charge.

Just keep in mind: sales of products on our HolyHeroes.com website are what enable us to develop, produce, and disseminate this and other services -- which we offer worldwide, absolutely free-of-charge -- so we greatly appreciate your patronage and support!
