My yoga teacher describes the emotions as bubbles swept away by feathers...

"Be present in all things and thankful for all things" Maya Angelou

"If you laugh you change; and when you change the world changes." Shilpa Shah

"Joy is prayer. Joy is strength. Joy is love. Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls. She gives most who gives with Joy."
Mother Teresa (1910-1997); Founder Of The Missionaries Of Charity

"We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience" Teiha

After giving this idea some thought, I define it as sitting with your emotions and observing them - becoming the observer. You stay anchored in the present rather than attaching yourself to the emotion and becoming it.

Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle you know nothing about.
Your worst enemy cannot harm you as much as your own unguarded thoughts.
Drop judgment and pick up love.
If you can move a grain of sand a day, eventually you will move a mountain.
Crappy choices bring crappy feelings.
Can'ts are joy limiters.

I have not but it sounds interesting. Do you have a link with more information?

"In the Shambhala tradition of meditation, you actively "make friends" with your fears. The particular meditation I practice involves diving into whatever emotional issues I'm dealing with at that moment. Instead of distracting myself or avoiding challenging situations, when I can sit still with the emotion long enough tension dissolves, much like a tight muscle slowly eases during a stretch. And like in physical yoga, the benefits last well beyond the time spent in the posture."

Has anyone tried the above?
