Tonight my husband had smoked a whole chicken for 4 hours on the smoker. What a treat! I had the breast part with no skin of course (but that part was hard to do) along with that we had pasta premivera (angel hair pasta with olive oil, garlic, and a pack of stir fry vegies with brocoli, whole green beans, squash, and red/yellow bell peppers). Then of course I had to have some dessert. I had Edy's half the fat cookies and cream ice cream. Love that stuff!

I'm going out to one of my favorite local restaurants and planned out my menu.

2 raw oyster shooters (84 calories total, due to the 1/2 oz. vodka in each.)
5 pieces of 'meat candy' (bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with a bit of reggiano) (390 calories if I eat all 5, but I bet at least one will be eaten by others)
1 Hearts of Romaine salad, loaded with veggies, no other toppings and no dressing (I'm still experiencing an aversion to dressing. A little salt and some cracked pepper and I'm great. 50-60 calories depending on the size of the salad.)

That's about 550 calories (give or take) and I'll still have some calorie room for dessert (as long as I don't go crazy!)

All the choices are yours - you only have to make them! I'm choosing 'today' over 'someday'!

Tonight will be beef roast in the crock pot. Yummy it will smell fabulous in the house when we get home tonight. To go with that will be veggies and maybe some red rice.

Tonight is pizza night!! Homemade honey wheat crust topped w/ homemade turkey sausage, basil, diced tomato, peppers, onions, and a sprinke of reduced sodium mozzarella cheese.

The kids get one w/ pizza sauce and cheese.

Homemade burritos. Pinto beans cooked in the crock pot, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes and home made salsa. Whole wheat tortillas with low fat Mexican mixed cheese melted on top. Tosses salad with oil and vinegar.

Salmon, green beans, and peas in a white sauce that's been _heavily_ modified from the one I learned in Jr. High many many years ago. Seasoned it with a Vietnamese-inspired curry seasoning that is suiting the peas very well. All in all, I am happy, and can't wait to begin serving.

Chicken legs are in the crock pot this will be paired up with steamed broccoli and maybe some steamed organic brown basmatti rice.

Breakfast--an omlette made with a little diced ham, 1 1/2 T of cheese, and lots of veggies. I'll also have some fresh fruit salad( pineapple, cantaloupe, grapes, watermelon, strawberries, and blueberries) and a slice of whole wheat toast.
