Ys, just turn it on, put in the disc, and you'll be fine - it's all very self explanatory - enjoy!

It's easy to use. Just follow the instructions. Once you are on it and doing things it's much easier.

Just start. You will have alot of fun.

Sometimes you just have to smile, pretend everything is okay, hold back the tears and just walk away.

A member of my WW group is trying to get me to use mine. I really want to, but I have no idea how to get it to work... since I haven't even tried to use it!

I just bought the Wii Resort. Going to try it as soon as I can, maybe even tonight after I finally get the kids to bed. It came with an extra Wii Motion Plus. Now we have two remotes and two Motion plus. I bought an extra remote last night and that came with a motion plus too.

I love the Wii! I want to get the Fit, but I just haven't had the money to do it just yet. Thanks everyone for all the great advice on the games for it! Right now I do the Resort a lot. The boating game is great for your arms!

STEPPNSTRONG couldn't have explained it better.

I started with the Wii Fit and did those exercises as a beginner and then went to the more challenging workouts. I hated the daily weigh in and the sassy mouth in the beginning but I got used to it.

Then I bought the Wii active and I started the 30 day challenge in January but then stopped when DH had his stroke. I was doing very well on it and it really gave you a workout. After I was done with my exercises for that.

The kids have the Wii Sports and I do the bowling with them now on occasion when I have time. But I am planning on doing the Wii Sports more often.

I have EA Active Personal Trainer, EA Active More Workouts, Biggest Loser, Fit Plus, & Jillian Michael's Fitness Ultimatum 2009. Also have Sports, but only the children use it, so I won't comment.

Comments:
Active PT: good, gives you a rotation - "30 day challenge", 3 levels of difficulty, some 'exercises' are more like a game. No weigh-in. True resistance training, but I switched to stronger tubing. Variety of settings within each workout. Can be fussy with recognising your movements, but once you 'get' what they want - problem solved. Has goals of days of exercise, calories burned, & duration of exercise - you set the target & period to reach it. No weight goal, weight not measured at all that I've seen. You choose your avatar - almost like the Sims, and just 4 or 5 weight levels which don't vary much at all - they all look within healthy range - no extremes. Avatar is kind of realistic.

Active More Workouts: as above, but rotation is "6 week challenge"

Biggest Loser: Gives rotations with 3 (?)choices of how long they run, and what your goals are (health, minor fat loss, major fat loss) . Five levels of difficulty. The workouts aren't like games & use of the balance board is optional. Nowhere near as 'slick' as the above, but if you're competitive, the weekly weigh-in/elimination might be worth it. The exercises are always in the same location and tend to feel very repetitive after a few weeks. Weighed weekly. It's all bodyweight moves unless you add your own modifications with bands or weights. You choose a person (from the TV show) to represent you, and they start out as obese and gradually slim down as the 'game' goes on. I wouldn't pay full price, but if you see it on sale - sure. I paid $AU25 ~ $US20

Jillian's Fitness Ultimatum 2009 - Avoid it like the plague! Not seen the 2010 version, apparently it's with a different developer.

Fit Plus: more fun than the above, has many games - many of which are exercise (indeed!!), very slick package. You can do the body test/weigh-in daily if you like. Does have standard exercises and yoga which aren't game styled. If you want to encourage your children to get involved - this is better than the above personal trainer packages. Can chase a weight goal - it recommends no more than 0.7kg (1 lb) per week - you choose how much to gain/lose, and the duration. No other goals that I've seen. The size of your Mii (avatar) is determined by your BMI - you have no choice if it shows you as narrow or wide, and is very cartoon-like.

We are enjoying the Wii Fit and the Sports. Is the Fit Plus really that much better than the plain Fit? I'm thinking about buying it.

I rented the Biggest loser and it was just ok.... I think I will go out and look for the EA sports one and try and rent that for a week too before I make a decision.

Heather,
I have EA Sports and it is awesome! I found that it provides a great workout. It is really easy to customize a workout and it is fun. The only problem i have is the size of the leg strap.

I was told that the Biggest Looser is not that great but as with everything in life it is all dependent on what you want.

Hope this helps!

I started in October. I love it! I use the Wii Fit and Sports for now, mixing it up. I'm hoping to add to my library soon!
