They stopped the magazine, but they seem to be doing more with the recipe magazines. I got the last one and it's pretty good.

I read the articles you linked. So sad about all the ones losing their jobs. WW has changed so much the past years and I do wonder if the in person classes are going to fade away! I cannot imagine what it is like having to attend class now through Zoom and pay that weekly amount beside!

I had forgotten about Simple-nourished site!

I started tracking again today and am using the Sparkpeople meal plans as a guide. I will track my calories and then it is quick and easy to figure my points. I have a feeling I am working my way to letting go of counting points and just do calories. Will see where my weight levels off when I am more consistent with my intake and nutrients!

I really like deas you have in your post about a shift in the group! Something for everyone as we go through so many changes. I used to love my Weight Watcher meetings over the years. Things are going in such a different direction now! I like to keep up with everything but I am glad I went back to the old plans that I like the best - and found out I am not alone in doing that! I will enjoy having itrackbites and knowing what that is all about. However, I am old school and will continue to use my paper sliders and track on Sparkpeople.

Happy to be here with everyone on this team!

I'm getting back on track now. I am always looking at what works for me and keeps me on track. It helped that my college son left for a week to help his aunt and uncle. He likes to keep snacks around and when I am stressed or tired....

I hear ya! I have definitely been off track. I do track everyday in WW and I am in purple I do like the plan, but have such trouble sticking with everything with so much stress. I am working with Gina B Up to the Beat workouts on youtube and am on her facebook group. She has a really sensible approach to eating and was a binge eater. She will be having a challenge next week, that I can share. I love your idea about the new trends in weight loss. I'm in! You are doing great Cindy. Sorry I haven't been here that much, but a lot going on and trying to keep my head above water! lol Thank you for everything! emoticon emoticon

Yeah, me, too.

I've been off track lately with quarantine, working from home, and my college son having to move home. I do a mixture of various plans, but for me the basis of foods I focus on are the zero point foods on Freestyle or blue plan with . I count calories instead of points. It was just too much for me to keep track of more than just this site. I don't count my veggies like in the green plan. I am also doing a low carb, keto friendly approach that is a modified keto with some intermittent fasting.

Now, saying all that. I am thinking about a shift in this group. I want to make it friendly to the current WW programs, old Weight Watchers programs, the copy cat programs like Itrackbites and also adaptations that people are making along the way. With the news about WW, I am thinking that WW is probably in trouble and might be fading away. One person I follow said back in January that she was disappointed that they didn't include more low carb, keto to their new program. I don't know about that, but I want to make this group inclusive of those who might want to make that adaptation. I want to keep the group current with what is going on with WW and people who believe in the Weight Watchers plans old an new and also new trends in weight loss.

I need to finish supper, but that is something I am thinking about for the group. What are your thoughts?

Here is the link to the New York Times article. There are others, but I think the NYT is one of the better ones.

It's sad for all the people losing jobs and for all the members who rely on meetings and other supports they provide.

I don't have the link, but WW has fired thousands of employees via a Zoom meeting. I don't do WW itself, but I have to admit I have considered removing WW from our name. When I get home from my walk I'll link the news article. What do the rest of you think of this news?
