Hope you had a nice Easter. We traveled which both helped and didn't help me. I got lots of steps while at the relatives, but days with lots of travel didn't do so good.

Hi Cindi,
So good to hear from you! I have been sick a lot and just found out that I have another mass on my lung and I will have to have a PET Scan, then if active, a biopsy & radiation. This time it is on the left lung though and hopefully no where else:)
I hope Lee is just taking a break and maybe some day she will post on here again:)

Cindi, those challenges are very hard and wish you luck! I think it is great motivation and discipline. I like that there isn't a lot of chit chat, but more of a program that you can stick to.
It finally cooled off a little here. It was only 92 yesterday and should be about the same all week.

Boy was I tired when I did the last post here!

Suz. The challenge is pretty intense with sub teams and competitions between the teams. Exercise to count miles to places around the world. Then lifestyle types of challenges. This week its fiber and sleep (hours). Every Saturday you have to weigh and if you miss a week without an excuse it is frowned upon. But, I'm focusing on my journey right now. I like the discipline. There isn't much chit chat. And they want you to huddle and spin the team wheel for points.

OMGosh! It is so hot here! Yesterday was another 107 degree day and it was still 82 degrees at 11 o'clock last night. It should cool off into the 90's on Sunday. The wildfires have started up again and the smoke and ash in the air is really making it hard to breathe. I really have to stay indoors until we get a real cool down:)
Good luck with your challenge! Those challenges are hard to keep up with every day, but they do keep you motivated.

Been learning self acceptance lately. Acceptance of many things in my life that aren't exactly what I would like them to be.

Today, had the day off and went shopping. Got some things on sale. Last week I got a couple of dresses. Sunday, I'll be going back to one of the churches I was pastor of when my kids were little. I got a new dress (on sale) to wear. Its part of Heritage weekend in that town.

Hi Lee: I would love to go to that continuing education. I need it!

I'm doing a 5% Challenge team. They put you on a sub team and mine is a Walkers, Runner, Joggers, Gadgeter's team. The teams are private now that the challenge has begun. You are required to post and do certain things in the challenge. Its one that is done four times a year for about 8 weeks with about four or more weeks build-up. I'm liking it. Its all about fitness habits and reaching goals. You are put on different sub teams. Right now we are in a race to Tokyo with fitness minutes. They do a new one every season. This is the Summer challenge.

What is the challenge team, Cindi?

We had a local Color Run today. I did that. Did a lot of walking today besides. Then we went to a semi pro league football game tonight.

Starting a new challenge group here on Spark that is taking a lot of my time right now, but I think it will be good.

Went on road trips 3 days in a row. A little exhausting, but I went to an IKEA store (finally), and I think we found a place to do a mini-vacation in the near future!

First 5 mile walk I have done in awhile today.

Hoping to find a new groove in July. June has been a kind of a bust emoticon oh well.

Aug. 9th, I will start the Ideal Protocol diet. This is a high protein diet where you can lose weight in a healthy way. I hope to have more energy and feel good for a change, and lose weight too!

Hi Cindy and Lee!
I hope to start water aerobics after work soon. My sister goes 3X a week and has invited me to join her:)
I think it will be great to spend time with my sister and to get in some good exercise too!
It is really, really hot here and going to get hotter everyday this week. Swimming is one way to stay cool:)

I'm here. Things have been a little rough lately. Disappointed in a couple areas.

What's good?
Lots of steps and lots of walking. You are right Lee that we are outside doing our thing. I walk late at night if I can't do it earlier, so that is what I am doing. The garden did get planted and its doing well in spite of me not really having my heart in it. Otherwise no changes here.

What is good in my world?

Celebrated my 10 year wedding anniversary! Really nice, long, indulgent weekend. It is interesting to think back and actually feel like it wasn't difficult and that I am still glad that we chose each other.

Expanded a couple of my garden beds and got two of them re-framed. The flowers have been awesome and the veggies are beginning to do their thing.

Did some work outside of the usual contract and it went VERY well. Even the 1 hour drive there and back was nice.

Your Son loves you and he is probably dealing with some unconscious ambivalence. Change and transitions are tough. There is a lot of love over there in your family, and a part of being a young person is to drive your parents at least a little crazy. It is written in the job description emoticon
