So happy to be part of the Biggest Loser Challenge Team. Each season always brings lots of motivation for me on my healthy lifestyle. Ii really liked the bowling. I enjoy the Bingo too. I am very excited. At the end of week 6 I am only 1.2 lbs away from my 10 lb challenge goal. And now only 14.3 lbs away from what I want to be before I will even consider looking at wedding dresses (under 200 lbs) which I would also like to go the little extra and be a dress size 16 or smaller before so I am not limited to the "plus size" selections

1) What were 3 things you did exceptionally well in 2016? I tracked food everyday, I started and kept up Strength training, increased cardio

2) What were 3 things that could have been done with more.... Drank more water, stay focused, less time on the computer

3) If you made some mistakes in 2016, what did you take away and learn from them? Realize and face the fact I faulted the move on and do better.

4) What are some Specific Goals or SMART goals for 2017? Lose 1/2 a week, drink 6-8 glasses of water, continue my reward program (after 10 lbs of loss, reward self)

Hiking while visiting family in Colorado

Not giving up on my journey when I got stuck on the trail
Only gaining 3 pounds from 12/15 to 1/3

And keep it off by developing healthy eating habits

i challenged my self to do the steps at the Amphitheater 190 each way. something i could not do at our last visit in 2014 ! i had to wait while my brother did the steps and took pictures . What fun it was to complete this NSV i even have a sticker that says I rocked the stairs

1) What were 3 things you did exceptionally well in 2016?
Sparked regularly, worked on being calmer and nicer, keep at least 26 lbs off....Regardless of the ups and downs

2) What were 3 things that could have been done with more.... passion?
Exercise, tracking,more moving away from my desk...

3) If you made some mistakes in 2016, what did you take away and learn from them?
I need to get right back up and not wait for days to get back on the wagon, stay calmer and sweat the small stuff, spend more time with my sister and mom.

4) What are some Specific Goals or SMART goals for 2017?
Stay on track, lose at least 40 lbs total for the year, set realistic goals monthly, look at the glass as half full...

5) Name 3 adjectives that best describe yourself.
Organized, friendly, calm

6) What is 1 thing you would like to accomplish in 2017?
Be healthy and lose weight in the process.

Hi to all of you!

1) What were 3 things you did exceptionally well in 2016?
I decided to go from a couch potato to daily moving my body, no matter how small or great - make an effort (this is my biggest struggle), I decided to get blood numbers in the recommended ranges to avoid/prolong diabetes complications (it is 100% dependent on my choices and medication - do-able), I joined the Scarlet Dragons!

2) What were 3 things that could have been done with more.... passion?
Exercise, planning ahead, eating veggies

3) If you made some mistakes in 2016, what did you take away and learn from them?
There is sooooo much I've learned. to take responsibility for myself - I am the only one who can do it - no one can do it for me and no one can make me do it ~ I have to want it. I've learned the secret to my success is to keep what REALLY motivates me into ACTION in front of me. It drives me to action. When we start something we're all excited then that wears off - the secret is to keep excited continually by what REALLY motivates me!

4) What are some Specific Goals or SMART goals for 2017?
Do my daily 7 disciplines (on my Sparkpage) ~ these will cause me to reach my goals of being a daily exerciser and weigh around 140 then decide how much more to lose.

5) Name 3 adjectives that best describe yourself.
Encourager, Organizer, Striving for progress not perfection

6) What is 1 thing you would like to accomplish in 2017?
Not "like to" ~ I WILL lose a massive amount of weigh therefore being healthier!

I did this along with my husband, Paul, and I too found it inspiring. It got my juices going and I made an entire planner (broken down into yearly, monthly, weekly and daily) of tasks to do so I will make them 'happen'.

This is a Pre- New Year's Eve Challenge

Take a notebook or Journal and ask yourself a few questions to close out 2016 and get ready to rock 2017......


1) What were 3 things you did exceptionally well in 2016?
A) how I handled paying on the medical expenses Paul incurred with AGA
B) how I handled getting the insurance check in December so it was resolved
C) my role within my SP teams

2) What were 3 things that could have been done with more.... passion?
A) de-cluttering our apartment space
B) exercising and following my food plan
C) use my time more productively

3) If you made some mistakes in 2016, what did you take away and learn from them?
A) procrastinating on decluttering our apartment space
B) being too blase about exercising (which I would have benefited from) and really getting the Diabetes Meal Plan down instead of being resistant or unwilling to learn
C) start using a planner for daily, weekly and monthly goals and then tick them off as I accomplish them.

4) What are some Specific Goals or SMART goals for 2017?

A) get a planner and start mapping out a daily and weekly smaller goals
B) Make a concerted effort to plan, prepare and execute those smaller goals

2016 IN REVIEW (This was an excellent exercise for me.)

A) Saving my husband's life.
B) My daughter's wedding.
C) Finding a physician to solve metabolic issues so I could lose weight.

A) Cleaning/Organizing the house. It's been on the back burner.
B) Exercise (this has improved greatly due to my Emerald Gems--thank you, Gems!

Failing to make a schedule for myself.
Not making my jewelry time a priority
