I first did LC wayyy back in 1980.
Yes, there ARE a lot of recipes around. Some of them are so good I'd eat them over the carb-laden version -- and some of them are terrible! So it is not so much that we need lists and lists of recipes; it is more that we need actual recipes with consistent carb accountability or methodology, if you will. Add to that that those recipes should have comments about taste, texture, ease of preparation....

I get so frustrated with inconsistencies between this source and that one.... Now I go to the USDA nutritional site for my nutritional information. I've created my own 200 page cookbook of LC recipes to try out and printed it out with big margins so that I can write down my comments when I try them.

But honestly, what I need most is basic information. Example: how does soy flour compare to regular flour in actual use? I can easily get nutritional info but it is MUCH harder to figure out to actually use a product I've never used/eaten/seen before. And lots of these foods are too expensive to waste through careless experimentation.
Other examples: what can you do to conserve sweetness in baking? I put sweetness in, but it doesn't always come out! How can you make a decent jelly? Is there a way to better preserve food than freezing? Because without sugar in many things (sugar acts as a preservative), baked goods spoil rapidly if left on the counter! ET CETERA!

Feel free to add your own favorite low carb site links; we need to share :-)
