You have a lot to be proud of!

Listen. This is just a theory of mine.... since there are so FEW posters, and fewer still who post with any frequency, I think (!) that it is a good idea to have all of us posting on ONE thread. It gives us a better chance to get to know each other and form stronger bonds. Plus we can give and receive more support since we are reaching more teammates. At least that is my theory. So I've been asking others to do just that and post on the "revive the team?" thread.

Does this make sense to you? I figure/hope that at some point, there will be a "tipping point" where others will naturally have made those bonds and/or have questions and will naturally splinter off into more threads.... in the meantime, maybe they will also get accustomed to posting regularly on a monthly thread -- which would help in keeping a "team" alive.

Please respond on the "revive the team?" thread. I'd like to keep everyone informed and give all a chance to be part of this decision!

Well, I started logging my food again, and wow, even though the carbs are in check, I was eating way too many calories! If I wasn't in ketosis, I'd surely have been gaining weight instead of maintaining all these months!

I'm using the myfitnesspal app, which has a nifty pie chart for tracking macronutrients. I had gotten into th habit of having a Cobb salad few times a week...I tallied up the calories, and OMG, it was over 900! That's just one meal!!!

I had tried fat fasting fasting one time, but hated having to think about food so much. Now I'm eating the same things every day, and it easier, an I've lost a couple more pounds.

Yay! Another lost lamb returns to the fold! (just a sheepish pun prompted by the "head hanging" you're doing!) Now be as thrilled to be back as we are that you are here!

I don't particularly want to lead. Like practically everyone, I feel incredibly pressed for time. And I'm not doing a particularly good job at just getting people to involve themselves with the team again.... so I don't think I've got "the right stuff". So you won't be stepping on MY toes if you want the job! Incidentally, given the present few posters, I've encouraged everyone to keep posting on one thread so that when someone posts, there is a higher likelihood of being seen and responded to.

Congrats on the fine job you've been doing with maintaining your weight loss! FYI, I've been experimenting with cycling (calorie control) while low-carbing for 2 weeks now. It might be informative to read my recent blogs.

Are you sure you are only eating 20 carbs a day? I found that a number of foods list no carbs but if you look there are hidden carbs in the ingredients list. I have not figured out all of the words but I know some of the sugars have complex names and don't all end in "ose"

I also find that if I plan out my meals ahead of time, I can count the carbs before I put anything in my mouth (weights of food with carb counts) so I can just go into the kitchen and start measuring before eating my fill.

Tonight for dinner I baked off a tray full of chicken breasts and cut up three of them to share with my husband. I put the chicken on half a head of romaine, with half an avocado, a plum tomato, and left over Caesar Salad dressing I had made earlier this week. It was a good dinner.

I eat 20 or less carbs a day. I have a strong family history of type 2 diabetes, and will NOT eat anything that may give me a blood sugar spike.

That said, my weight loss has been essentially stalled for months now. So, last week it occurred to me to start tracking my calories, not just my carbs; holy smoke, I was eating a LOT of calories!!! Where I normally don't track calories, I'm trying to keep them around 1200 a day for a week or so and see if the weight starts falling off again.

Glad you are back. I fell off the Atkins wagon in November and it was hard to get back on. It came down to a choice - Atkins or lose job. Atkins has been the only way I have found to control my diabetes and I have to have control of my numbers to keep driving my school bus.
I was off Atkins for 5 months and gained 9 pounds. In the month that I have been back on I lost 7 pounds and my sugars are under control so much so that I was able to pass my return to work physical.

How many carbs are you eating every day? I think I read if you are stalled to fall back to induction for a week and then slowly re-add your carbs until you find your number. I am still doing induction but looking forward to getting summer berries back in a month.

I'm embarrassed to even show my face hear (so to speak). In my defense, I work 2 full time jobs, and am just super busy. That said....

I'm still on board with Atkins! It's been over a year, and I've never wavered! I've lost between 55-60 pounds, but have been stuck at this weight for MONTHS! I'm not too upset, because I KNOW I'm following the plan, and feel better than I've felt in years. I get in miles of walking every day (at work) so I will figure out how to break this stall...

How is everyone doing???
