I had a quiet night. I slept through New Year.

I had a quiet Christmas day by myself.

We had a nice Christmas. DH spoiled me like normal.

I am going grocery shopping and then start cleaning my sewing room.

I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas, different perhaps, but still good.

I purged my upstairs closet and got rid of 3 garbage bags full of clothes. I forgot that I had a box as well downstairs to go, so another trip will be made. DH says he might go through his closet as well. Bit by bit it will get done. Need to work on getting fit. My poor dog needs his walks.

having a ruff week so far, missing my DH being this is the first Christmas without him. I only sent out cards did not do any decorating as it is only me for Christmas.

I just spent a nice week on a small quilting retreat just my friend Val and my self we rented a small cottage and spent a few days sewing. It was a nice time

I had my 6 month check up on Friday. It was a video conference, but we mainly talked about my blood work and chest x-ray. Every thing is stable.

Other than wrapping DH's present I have all my Christmas shopping and mailing done. I am trying to gat a quilt made for friend but it all depends on when the kit come.

CheriAnn Prayers go out to you. My DH had a brain tumor also before he died. I know what a strain it takes on people.
Prayers are out there for everyone that are in need of them. They come every day from my home to yours to everyone on my team.

Trying to get Christmas cards and encouragement cards in the mail. Maybe tomorrow. News that a neighbors Mom died of Covid took the wind out of my sails today and put me in a funk. Her husband has a terminal brain tumor. Beyond sad.

I am doing okay otherwise though. No illness here at this point and we are very careful about where we go, I got a plug replaced in my eye for dry eye last week and it is already coming back out so I will have to call the eye Dr tomorrow again to get a larger one put in.

My parents are moved in and not going out. I need to try and visit them soon. I talked to them on the phone last week, but don't get to talk to Dad until I actually go over.

After the cards (and mailing daughters Christmas present because I won't get to see her, I think I will be working on cleaning and purging the house some more little bit by little bit, and working out and a bit of self care.

We are staying home most of the time. We only go out for groceries, farm supplies and occasionally the quilt shop. I also go to my work outs that are at small private studio.

I spent most of the day sewing yesterday. I completed 2 crumb blocks. I then finished the binding on a quilt and got Christmas tree skirt out that I have been hand quilting out to work on. I have been working on that this morning and will continue to work on it while I watch the Packers football game.

DH and I just put dinner in the oven, baked chicken and acorn squash.

I just got my results for my new test from Wed and Praise God and Thank God it was NEG

Julie...We are a hot spot here in Idaho also. Our church canceled our annual Thanksgiving dinner because of the virus. We all voted and felt it was better to do that then possible someone getting sick.

Our Governor has us in Stage 2 right now.“Half of Idaho’s population is under a local ordinance requiring masks a lot of people are not obeying it..We Throughout this week Idaho broke its records for the most confirmed cases and overall cases in a single day, adding 1,250 confirmed cases and 1,618 total cases on Wednesday. Idaho’s positive testing rate hit an all-time high on Thursday, as 16.9% of tests were positive for the virus.Hospitalizations have grown to record levels, with 361 people in Idaho hospitalized because of COVID-19 as of Monday. The state had just 118 open ICU beds available for those in critical need as of Thursday.
This is why I stay in the house and only go out to see the DR. Being I only have the 1 kidney and heart problems the had me tested more after I was in contact with someone.

Prayers are there for you. My heart DR had me go back to urgent care and be retested again. I still do not feel good. I have been sick since Sept 28th.

I realized I was not being a good patient by staying in bed so much. it's so nice staying under the covers, but when I was in the hospital they would not have allowed me to stay in bed so long. I have to work on that. Ida, I hope you are feeling better. I am going back to urgent care. Thanks for prayers.

Our guild meeting was nice on Sunday. We sat outside under a big tree. It was little windy but the day was nice' Our weather has changed to more seasonal, it is raining and cooler today. I am going to set up and spin this afternoon.

Ida, are you feeling better. Since I last posted, I have been sick with similar symptoms. They got worse, and last night was first night went to bed without the chills and sweat. I still have the chills throughout the day. crazy??? Well, I am ever so thankful to be back walking around the house. Hope you feel better.

Our weather has been great, highs in the 60 all week. We are going to have our spinning guild meeting outside today. I am taking a quilt to sew the binding on that way if I get cold I can wrap up in the quilt.

I went to urgent care and was testes twice. The fist test cane back inconclusive. The second took 4 days to come back and was neg. Thank God for that. I still have the chills, some cough and ache body. One of these days it will all go away. Our temps will be doping tonight into the teens and 20's, highs tomorrow only 33. They say we may have snow also.

The weather is not helping me get any better. I am staying in the house and will be doing church on line again tomorrow. I would rather be there, but I do not want to make anyone sick.

Ida, sorry to hear about your friend. I hope your symptoms do not get worse. Have you taken covid test? I was feeling the same since last week, and went into urgent care where they tested for covid and flu. both came out Neg. but I still have lingering symptoms. They are not as bad, but the chills and fever at night have been back to back. Hope you have all you need and someone supporting you. hugs. Heck of a way to lose weight, right?

Ida, I will keep you in my thoughts. I have a friend and her husband who have been sick. DH brought it home from work. I hope you feel better soon.

morning all..
I thought I was doing good till I went to church last Sunday. Then I found out Monday one of the ladies grand daughter tested positive for Covid, on Sunday afternoon. Now her home is in quarantine. A couple of us ladies had hugged her and we are all sick now. On Monday I put myself in quarantine for 14 days and called my DR. She said I did the right thing and to keep in touch with her. Right now I have a cough, sour throat and lots of body aches, runny nose.
Eating lots of my homemade soup, getting lots of rest and walking when I feel up to it.

My quilting weekend got canceled. Val has a cold, she tested negative for COVID, but I don't need to get a cold. We changed to a weekend in December.. I will have a sewing weekend here at home,

Hope you are doing well. Just returned from dentist after he put a crown on my tooth for cracking. I bet it was from the nuts I have been eating. No more for me. This Crown has to work so I don't have to get a root canal. ugh!
Still working on masks and happy they are coming along faster. I have so much to learn as some look uneven in places. ;( Hope your day is going well. Looking forward to a good ST workout. hugs

Yes I have have tried Acupressure , I have tried everything I can think of and and all suggestions for the cluster headaches. I thank everyone for all the help, but nothing really seams to help.

I am going to start laundry today because I have eye DR appointment in the middle of the day tomorrow. I am leaving for quilting weekend on Thursday morning so I need to get laundry done.

Ida, have you tried using Acupressure for headaches. There should be something simple online for self remedy. I learned from Cancer support group to use Acupressure. I sometimes use for insomnia.
In a few weeks, looking forward to taking CA125 . Hoping cancer cells are down.

I am one of the people in charge of charity quilts for our guild. My co-chair had a request for 20 quilt for at UW hospital for HIV babies, mainly girls. We have 34 quilts so I am going to pick out the 20 and get them to Mary.

I hope to get some sewing done today. The quilt I am working on is slow going. I now have 7 of 56 blocks done.

Yes I am feeling better with the flu. Now if the cluster headaches would just stop and go away I would feel great.
Being there is really no treatment for them I put my faith in God to heal them.

Went out and bought the rest of the things I need to complete my Operation Christmas Child boxes, now I need to make some drawstring bags and masks to complete them.
Went out to eat inside a restaurant for the last time fora while, Gov of IL shut down inside dining again starting tomorrow. I feel so bad for waitresses.
Still working on photo albums , need to take a rest today as my back was really hurting. Got one album and 1/2 of a really large one that ends with my daughter's graduation from high school. She's now in her 40s. Just heard a dear friend from my Gyne Sisters Cancer group finished her battle. A bit sad tonight.

Thanks for comments. Kids are improving. These past weeks much better. My son and I have had some enlightening conversations. He has so much baggage from his dad. Darn!!! I hope he talks with his dad. My daughter, no huge incidents. Still spying on her food intake so she does not eat secretly in her room. ugh!
I am finally getting, really getting back to making masks I promised long ago to nonprofit organization. Its been so long that I have forgotten how to make them. But, learned new ways to make masks.
Been walking more and toning more. I realized I was not toning and now increasing minutes and protein to build muscle. Yay!!! Well, have to go to market. Been online chatting and catching up that it's late. All my best!!

I was able to get two 12.5 " square blocks completed and about half way on a third. They are slow to make. After I finish my lunch I should go sew but I have been enjoying coloring this morning.

It sounds like people are keeping busy. We went and picked up our processed wool yesterday and took this years wool in for processing.

I started the quilt for my friend today. I am making a crumb quilt which is small scraps being sewed together and then squaring the block to the desired size. I need to make 58 12.5 " squares. I have one done now. She said there is no hurry for the quilt.

Tori- I hope everything continues to improve with your children, and that your CA 125 numbers decrease.

We finally got rid of the brush pile behind the garage yesterday, I sure am sore. Will have to investigate getting some cortisone shots in my hips-making sure medicare will pay for them.

Been staying home from my parents house for a bit. My siblings have been over a lot, too many people overwhelm them. I will stop over next week. Probably call them tomorrow.

Going through albums I hope tomorrow. Want to get that done (at least a couple done). Purging and passing on pictures.
Have learned I need to pare down my to do list to make room for DH's projects. It's been a learning process.

Tori. with everything that is going things are hard for everyone. I hope your kids are doing better.

I am glad your check ups were good. Hopefully they can figure out why your numbers are increasing.

I did my workout this morning and am now relaxing for the afternoon. I went out to work shop to spin but it was too cold even with the electric fireplace. I brought my wheels in for the winter. We are picking up our processed wool and taking this years wool to woolen mill tomorrow.

Hello everyone!
Yes, I have been away. I tend to do that when things at home get too overwhelming. My kids, 21 & 19 have had issues come up in different ways. My daughter, the oldest tends to overeat and hide her foods. My son, he's in the negative zone and sometimes hard to talk to him when he's in that zone. I've been talking to both and the darkness is easing. They are so very helpful around the house and take my directions and suggestions so well.
I just had my colonscopy and check up with Gyno N.P. and all checked out. The one concern is that my CA125 number doubled from the last month. I too am taking chemo pills and next month we hope it does not increase or will have to find out the cause. :(
I am blessed and will continue to pray for healing. God is our Healer.
You all have a great rest of the week if I don't check in soon.

We got home from visiting my brother and SIL. They live across the street from Lake Michigan in the north woods of the lower peninsula.. My sister BIL were there also. This was the first time since spring of 2019 I had seen my family. On our drive over and back we stopped only when necessary. While visiting we hung around my brothers home, walked on the beach and in the woods surrounding his house. We also played a lot of cards.

The day before we left DH noticed our internet was out. A little latter he noticed the pole holding our satellite dish and fallen over. They were out today to replace our system so we are back on line.

started feeling better, and started to do a little more around the house. now I have a slight relapse and feel cruddy again.

I went out and put my vent covers in as it is just me now and it is starting to get cold at night so I am trying to save heat where I can. OH well. Life goes on as long as I don't go around people I am not going to sweat the small stuff.

I feel very blessed that I have survived 20 years since my original diagnosis. I am still taking drugs and have had targeted radiations in the past two years, but that is a much easier course then some people have followed.

Yes Cheri Ann I am also feel bless to still be on this earth and beating cancer 4 times. I have lost so many friends also to it and it just hurts me that I am still here.

Thinking of Shari, of you all and feeling blessed each day God gives me breath. Feeling fortunate that I am here, many of my loved ones are not and ones that are are having issues so much worse than mine. God has been good to me.

A special remembrance to a special lady today RIP Mom2cat (Shari) Miss you.

Parents are moved in. Waiting for a bit to visit so they can settle in. Don't have jury duty today, but have to call in tonight to see if I have to go in tomorrow.

Now to clean bird cages, exercise and do a bit of Bible study. .actually got some fall decorations out last night and brought down heaters.

I remember Sheri also. I had the opportunity to meet her in person. She lived about 45 min from my FIL and when we were there visiting I went up and met het for lunch. She was a very sweet lady.

Morning everyone. Got a flu shot on Tuesday and I have been sick from it. I knew I should have not gotten it. Last time the same thing happen, that was back in 1995 and I never got another one. My DR;S insisted this time.

I remember Shari well. I will definitely be remembering her on that day.

Now my Mother has a bad ear infection. Please pray for healing for her.

As Oct 6 approaches it will be 4 years since we lost a dear friend to cancer.
Mom2cat (Shari) she put up a good fight all the way to the end. She was a good friend to myself and many of us that remember her. She loved her cat, she loved life, and she loved all of us.
I think of her all the time and it is one of the reasons why I took the leadership of the team when our other leaders got sick. I myself know what it is like to fight the fight as I have done it 4 times and I am one of the lucky ones to be here to talk about it and to help others in my community.
So on Tuesday the 6th lets take a few min to just say a prayer for all that have cancer and the families that have lost family members to this. God Bless everyone

I went to our quilt guild meeting last night it was outside in a park. We are trying to figureout what we will do for the winter. If the weather id OK on in October we will meet at the park again but if not we will go for on line until spring.

I participated in a Cancer symposium today, then ran some errands and got a free burger for my upcoming birthday. I stayed away from my parents today and yesterday as they were moving large items and I knew I would try and help and hurt myself as I have another hernia. Tomorrow is an online meeting with the "Giving Back Society " in the morning. This is the final weekend for the move. 21st is the day. It is going to be a long one. The closing on their home is at 10am, then the house they are moving into isn't until 3pm, so we will be moving in late. They are supposed to look at carpets on Sat. It's really cutting things close. I can't wait until they are all moved in!!. This has consumed my life for so long! I can't wait to actually feel like I am retired!

My dentist appointment went well other than I had to wait 30 min past my appointment time.

praise God right now at 7am I am feeling good. Very little pain. I hope it stays that way. Just going to take it easy like the DR said for a few days before I start exercising again.

got my shot today. right now feeling good. The DR said when the nerve med wears off, the next 2 day I may be in pain till the steroids kick in then I will know if it is working in my hip or not.

The closing date for my parents house was changed to Sept 21st, which was an answer to prayer! We were not going to be able to make the deadline. We were able to take a couple days off and then get the barn cleared out as well as let Mom have a barn sale which changed her disposition remarkably!
We have almost everything packed in 2 pods. The guest house and barn are almost completely cleared out- brother is busy carting leftovers from barn sale to charity. Then he will go and tear up carpet in the new house as the owner gave us permission to do that. The 21st we move them in! I cannot wait for this move to be accomplished! I have been over there every day I don't have appointments, trying to squeeze in my shopping and laundry, my house is not in order at all and we have projects that need to be done on my house. I just have to hit it out for a couple more weeks. Pray for us!

I have an appointment to get my haircut in about an hour. It with a different stylist because Lisa had surgery on her foot and won't be back until November and I sure can't wait until then.

Our weather has sure taken a turn to fall, cool and rainy.

After I got back from my workout I have been coloring and knitting.

today was a ruff day.After I walked my 30 min I had a flair up of my Inflammatory arthritis in my hip and knee and it put me down in pain and I could not even stand or get up off the couch.Had to try to get a ice pack even with the pain to ease it so I could move. Doing better tonight , but still hurting.

I can not get my cordazone shot till the 15 as my DR only does them on Tuesday's and he has a open heart surgery that he is doing this Tuesday. Staying positive and just praying the pain goes away.

I am glad you had good visit with your friends Ida.

I am glad you had a awesome time. It is always nice to get away with friends and spend time with them.
I had some come from out of town to visit over the weekend that I was not expecting which was nice as I had not Sean them in a while.

We had a really nice time. The crafting error is set for 9 and there was only 4 of us so there was plenty of room. I was able to get one quilt top finished. I helped Laurie and Tina learn how to use the Accuquilt cutter. Val brought back my die for making masks and both Tina and Laurie wanted to make some masks and then cut more to take home to sew.

The town we were has a large Amish population so it was fun to watch the horse and buggies go by. Also on Saturday afternoon we went to an Amish run store. Tina was looking for canning lids. I bought some pickled asparagus which is yummy.

I got my sewing room back together yesterday.

Yes, I love to quilt. I put 4 tops together yesterday from some blocks I won a few months ago at quilt guild. I need to get a quilt on my long arm soon.

I met with my trainer today. We did a workout easy on abs because I am still a bit sore from my colonoscopy. I guess I have a long and twisting colon. They were not able to get to the end and removed three small polyps. I will have to repeat the test in 3 years.

Today I am taking it easy. It is really warm out. I am going to get things around for my quilting retreat. 4 of us have rented a cabin and are going to spend the weekend sewing/ crafting. The cabin is set up for 9 people and there are only 4 of us so we should be able to spread out.

We are going to eat out for the first time tonight. Our 38th wedding anniversary is tomorrow so we are going to celebrate tonight.
