Has anyone tried Valerian root? I have used chamomile tea that works intermittently and melatonin that is great when you are jet lagged or mess up your rhythm but I think I need more.

What about time released Melatonin supplements, they are cheap at any pharmacy area with no prescription. You take 1 before bed.

I used to as a teenager, and when I was going through chemo, which gave me massive insomnia, but not any more.

Sleep aids don't work to me and the one that did after a while it did not work either.

At 1 stage, I used Mesyndol(a paracetamol, codeine mix) to get to sleep. Afterward I swapped over to Restavit(an antihistamine). I used the latter for over 2 years, but found that during that time could keep cutting back the quantity. To begin with I was taking 2 tablets and then finished up only needing 1/2 tablet. I occasionally still have 1/2 tablet if I need it.
