Chica,
WOW 13 free classes that is AWESOME! How do you like kickboxing so far? I wish I could do that but it is too hard on my knees for some reason, go figure. I didn't get a chance to go the lower body part of Jackie yet, I still can't move my arms from her workout the other day and I just used 3 and 5 lb weights, when normally before I got sick and all in the fall last year I was up to doing 10 and 20 lbs, have to start back up again. How does your son like being your practice partner? I saw your blog titled about your grandmother, did lose your grandmother?

Nat,
I think you would look AWESOME in a bob, NOT that you don't look good now though. Hubby can't wait until I cut my hair, I am growing it out for Locks of Love (organization that takes real hair and makes wigs for cancer patients) since I can't donate blood due to my blood disorder and since I have cut it close with having cancer this is the least I can do, but hubby DOES NOT like my hair long, he likes it short or in a bob like your husband does as well but it has to be 12 inches long in a pony tail.

Husband has been bugging me to make appt with neurologist b/c I have also broken 4 plates as well and scared the poop out of him while he watching tv and I in kitchen with the noise since we have a huge open floor plan. It could be my POTS progressing or it could just be something else totally new, we'll see what he says.

emoticon on getting in your GSIG workout and biking in. How is that foot of yours doing?

Well off to start my Sunday, it is 44 degrees outside I really don't want to leave the house but have to go get a measuring cup so I can do my green smoothie, all the veggies have only been sitting in my fridge since last Monday! And I haven't been able to try out my Vitamix blender yet but it sure looks pretty sitting on the counter! emoticon

Y'all have an emoticon Sunday ladies.
Hugs
Maria

Maria, I'm going to grow out my pixie cut to a bob. My husband doesn't like the pixie and I've tortured him with it for 2 years. Perhaps a trip to the neurologist is in order. I hope you have fun at the party.

Chica, yay for kickboxing!! Yay for making DS do it with you ;-)

I did GSIG lower body and some biking.

Well, didn't start the DVD as I promised in order to start getting toned but I went for my first kickboxing class of the year. 13 free classes left and after that will decide whether or nor buy the package for a month of unlimited workout. DS was the one who invited me so he is now stuck to continue practicing with me.

Thanks Chica,
Ya for the day off but not so ya for other duties at home. Hope you were able to get some sleep and rest. I finally had it last night with the pain and not feeling well I took some Tylenol PM which is a NO NO due to all the other medications and medical issues I have but it actually helped. I slept great and I was able to get through at least Jackie's Upper Fast 30 today but later I felt it I couldn't feel my hands and I was baking my hubby and cake, I thought I had the measuring cup in my hands but I just busted that glass thing all over the kitchen floor, it's my 3rd one I broken in 3 months. I have to go back to neurologist since I am losing grip strength so make sure some of my disorders/medical issues aren't progressing. UGH....

Nat,
Hope you had an enjoyable lunch with your husband. Did you get a new hairstyle? Pictures pictures pictures! emoticon Well at least my foot didn't hurt today while working out. Though the other day those shooting pains in my foot was just weird b/c that has never happened to me before. I need to go back to neurologist (see what I told Chica above).

Well goodnight ladies, I am trying to go to bed early to get some good sleep. I have our niece's daughter's birthday party tomorrow which I really don't want to go to BUT I have canceled on so many family things these past two weeks, I guess I should show my face so they know I am still alive! emoticon

If my body let's me I will do lower body Jackie Fast 30 tomorrow.

Chat with y'all later.
Maria

Maria, that wasn't sympathy painsÖ.that was you getting sick again. I'm sorry.
Chica, a day off of work is always nice even if you do have stuff to do at homeÖ.that's been my whole week, actually.
Foot is still a tad cranky but that's okay. I am going to do my arms/shoulders GISG workout and then HIIT on the exercise bike. I am meeting my husband for lunch today and then I have a hair appointment.

Happy Friday ladies!

Today I decided to take unscheduled leave at work, love to enjoy an extra day off and get some sleep, so much needed sleep. But as the same time I take leave from work I have other duties here at home.

Get well soon Nat and you too Maria.

I didn't do Jackie Fast Start today want to ease back into working out since I haven't in months. I did do the Leslie Sansone Walk Weight Loss 3 Mile walk on YouTube (who needs to buy DVDs when there is youtube!) emoticon

This is the one I did today: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rnB9rDRrCM

Tomorrow will start Jackie Fast Start DVD. Hubby hogging television today watching is English Premiere Soccer games so I had to workout in his office which is not much space and I was slipping a little BUT I got it done! emoticon

Nat,
That is great you signed up with the Girl program again.

Chica,
I totally agree, my problem is when I start I start off the gate running so hard that by mid way I get exhausted and it becomes to much. 2014 will be year to learn how to pace myself. Thanks for the tip.

Hi,

In my opinion, I will do 6 days in a row or the 10 days one or two days off to rest and then continue with the next set or exercise. Too much exercise you can get exhausted and then bored of doing the same maybe.

I have a friend who works in a gym she does the same every other day she does weights and the other days strength training.

No, it's not 30 days straight. You do each 2x or 3x/week so either do both 2 or 3 times or split and do 4 or 6 days but not everyday.
I actually signed up with the Get in shape girl again so I will be doing her workouts.

Chica,
emoticon on the weight loss. When I want to tone I always go for Jackie Warner, she is great at toning you up.

Nat,
That is a good idea to split it. I don't know how I am going to do it yet. I have to read the instructions again.

Do you guys know off the tops of your heads, b/c it is a 30 day Fast Start does that mean you do it for 30 days straight? But don't they say you have to take time off to let the muscles recoup and not good to do weight everyday? I know one of my BFF that also a body builder said she does it every other day with days off. What do you guys think?

Hugs
Maria

Hi Sandy,
emoticon back on the wagon! emoticon
Honestly, I cannot remember for the life of me if 30 days is one whole workout or into sections. I think it could be into sections, you can check out some of the moves on YouTube or the net. I only did her 30 day 2x and it is where you do a set for a count of 1, then 2, then 3, then 4 reps until you get to 10 reps so in totall you are actually doing 55 reps of each exercise! But it sure does not seem like it but such a great workout.

NATPLUMMER could tell you more than I, as she runs herself and she has a program, etc.

GOOD LUCK! emoticon

Yeah, there is law in our neighborhood too but like yours that doesn't stop them but at least ours isn't all year long its just a few weeks before and after July 4th.

Omgosh that would be emoticon and so much fun to play board games and bake gluten free. You would love the kitchen we have now. I am going to miss it when we get another house. Like I said my door is open whenever you want to visit Houston, Texas.

Nice little trip! Good Luck. Is your hubby competing? YAYYY for no samples but laundry ugh...I don't think that's what I would want to do on my days off. emoticon

Have a safe trip and have fun.

OOhhhh..it would be fun to come over and play board games with you...and bake gluten free brownies in your fab kitchen.
I'm on vacation for a week, so no samples for me. Doing laundry and stuff today....flying out to Orlando tomorrow. I'm going to bring a resistance band with me so I can do ST in the hotel room on Friday if the gym doesn't look like it'll work.

Isn't it way past July 4th for people to be popping fireworks? That is crazy. We usually get people popping firecrackers a week b4 July 4th and a week after, but it has stopped thank goodness.

How are the samples coming? Is the machine still doing good?

My husband loves the machine, he says he can tell a difference! emoticon

I love board games, what kind do you play? Well if you are ever in Texas we will play board games, OH WAIT we will be too busy driving all over the state of Texas showing you places! emoticon

Omgosh I see you posted this on Monday and didn't reply until today! OUCH, sorry about that. I am losing it. I thought I had replied. emoticon

Well gotta go fix supper for my man b4 Olympics start.

I'm glad you got a breather to check in. I've been busy today, too. Pretty much didn't get a break between 5:30 and 11:45.
I'm glad the sleep apnea machine is helping. That's great!!
Yay fro grandpa!!
I like board games, too. Haven't played one in ages, though.
I can sleep if it's light out usually, but I had a problem last night. And then the crazy neighbors were setting off fire crackers...I have no idea why.
I can't sleep on planes but I can in the car. It's been so long since I've been on a train...the last one was the at Disneyland.
It's definitely Monday here.

I am hoping maybe the rest of the week will be easy breezy, not today, I guess since I was out Friday. I had worked from the time I walked in at 6:47 a.m. until about 1 p.m. YIKES. So, finally I said I am in-between projects let me catch up on my Sparks! LOLÖ Believe it or not I donít know how I did it without the sleep apnea machine. I am sleeping longer through the night and I do feel like I have a lot more energy during the day than I used to, which is great. You are right about that it is usually the grandma but not in our case. Which I am happy they love grandpa, he has the energy of a 2 year old and he is 54! I bought us a travel scrabble game for Christmas last year. I love playing games in bed with hubby. Board games but those games too! LOLÖ. He said he needs to buy an IPAD so we can play Words with Friends on it, no thank you. He plays nonstop with one of my sisters and now he plays draw something with a couple of brother in laws. I donít like modernization I guess! LOLÖ. I want to feel the board pieces, I want to touch them, I want to actually talk to people while playing not on a machine. I hear ya about husband sometimes gets in bed with me and sometimes stays up, my does the same thing. He bought me this sleep mask called Hibernate, best sleep mask ever. Since he stays up with light on to read or play games on his smart phone, it has to be totally dark for me to go to sleep so I was not getting any rest until the sleep mask and not the sleep machine.

The crazy thing is I canít sleep in cars, trains, planes, etc. Seriously when we went overseas to Europe on the flights I stayed awake the whole time by the time we got to the hotel I wanted to crash BUT I didnít b/c they tell you not to do that, that will throw you off especially with the time change so donít go to sleep until it is time for you to go to sleep, which seemed to work at least in my case.

How is your day going so far? Itís a Monday for me, what can I say.

Maria, yay for easy breezy!! I hope it stays that way. I'm sure the grandkids understand you don't have the energy right now...hopefully it will come back...maybe with the sleep apnea machine. It's great that they love grandpa. It seems like that doesn't happen too often. We never play scrabble in bed. I don't even know where the scrabble board is right now. My husband sometimes gets in bed with me and sometimes stays up and works on his models.
Sometimes the car will make me sleepy. I don't know if it's the motion or what. I do get that sleepy/not sleepy thing to if I'm on the couch watching TV and then go up to bed.

Nat,
Today so far so good, easy breezy at work (hope didn't just jink myself there). The grandkids were adorable, they didn't want me to leave and then they wanted to come home with me, I said I have to work and grandpa not home. The funny thing is they love their grandpa, he has so much engery he will play with them until the cows come home. And first question always when I get there alone WHERE IS GRANDPA! LOL... At this time b/c of the medical issues I don't have enough energy to play with them like he does, my max is maybe about 10 mins. here and there. Thanks, I look forward to this appt. but like I told them I will only buy the machine IF the hose can be longer, I also wonder how much the insurance will pay on it. I have meet my deductible, I do every year in April. I am trying to get alot of things done during my lunch breaks while boss is on vacation, when he is here I feel I have to "rush" back from lunch, if you know what I mean.

WOW 7:30 that is early to get to bed. But not strange, since I like to do the same thing but I don't get up at 2;15 a.m.! I still cannot get over that one! YOU ROCK. I know when we get to bed that early we don't end up really falling asleep until 10 or 11 p.m. b/c we are reading or playing scrabble or board games in bed. Yes, we really do that. I am so happy hubby will be back tomorrow. My son was worried about me last night b/c I didn't leave their house until 9;30 p.m. and I was falling asleep, he always text him when I get home, if I forget he will be calling for sure. I was so sleep all the way home stayed awake and then I walk in the door at home and I am not sleepy anymore, weird! Does that ever happen to you? I love our house, like I said I want to take it with me to new town but I can't. emoticon MI CASA ES SU CASA! You are welcome at our house anytime just let me know. Just be ready for the heat! emoticon

Hi, MSBOOTCAMP,
Happy to have you on the thread! I would try the kettle ball workouts but I am clumzy as they come and I would up beating myself in head with them! LOL... Seriously, the other day I was walking to the bathroom at home in master bedroom and I hit my hip hard on the dresser then while dealing with that I banged my head on the french doors (that were open pulled all the way back to the wall) really hard, I had a huge bruise on my head and on my hip. And we lived in this house for over 2 years now! Hubby keeps saying he needs to dress me as the Michelin Man! :)

Ya'll have a great day!

Maria, fingers crossed your week slows down. Yay for seeing the grandkids!! I hope the sleep apnea appointment goes well. You might as well get it done during lunch.
I try to get to bed by 7:30 but that doesn't always happen. At least your husband will be back soon so you can get some sleep :-)
It is a great house. California is expensive to live in, that's for sure. You're lucky to have such a great kitchen now...I wish I did. I'd love to come help you cook in that fab kitchen sometime :-)

I'm jumping back on this thread, too!

Ever since spring I've been lucky to have a few other structured workout options, including kettlebell classes and a month-long gym membership.

I also added my incredible, cardio rebound boots.

And now it's time to get back to using my Jackie and P90X strength-training (and other) DVDs.

Tomorrow, I have appt with sleep apnea people for measuring of the sleep mask I will do it during my lunch hour since boss out of the office and it will be a 2 or more hour lunch (since appt takes a hr and drive time 30 mins there and 30 mins back to the office).

Tonight, my son is giving me my shot so I get to see the grandkiddos! emoticon

Omgosh what time do you go to sleep? There is just no way I could get my booty up at 2:15 a.m. you are so much stronger and braver than me! YAYY for sleeping in. I didn't even want to get out of bed this morning, I don't sleep when hubby out of town on business I am a zombie by the time he gets back.

See isn't that a WOW house? That is the great thing about living in Texas you get alot for you money in hoomes/property/land the homes are spacious here and they are inexpensive, still costs to buys homes but NOT like anywhere else. You sound like my sister-in-law my hubby's sister, they live just outside of L.A. and their house is small and they paid a fortune for it. That is the part that got me too the kitchen! I really want to start cooking alot more and I will have more time for all of that when I retire, right now I am too tired by the time I get home and all I have enough energy for on the weekends is to sleep so I can make it through another week at work. I have huge kitchen and lots of counter space at the house we live in now, I love it. I can put out a whole buffet (like at Luby's) yes that is how long my counter is in the kitchen, it is a great house for entertaining.

Well you will just have to come down to Texas and help me cook in that kitchen! emoticon

Okay, I goofed off long enough I have to get back to work. Today has flown by, but at least going by fast and not dragging!

I'm up at 2:15 if I get up to do my workout...I slept in yesterday ;-)
Your boss will be gone soon and then you can visit the chiro. I understand your wanting to make sure he's happy and gone before doing so.
WOW!!! That is a beautiful home!! And so inexpensive, too!!! Our house was twice as much and we live in the hood. And we have only 2/3 of the space, too!! That kitchens is fabulous! I'm jealous. emoticon

Wow you were up at 3 a.m. too! I don't get up at 3 a.m. unless I positively have too! emoticon

I am trying to catch up everything here at work with my boss so he can be free to ease his mind while on vacation, so I don't want to make appt with chrio until boss is off on vacation b/c you know anything can happen and I might as well get it done while he is gone so I won't feel guilty I am not at the office.

WOW you had a busy weekend!

If I saw that number I would have certainly gone that extra 0.01 mile! emoticon

Yeah, what is it about looking at houses that is exhausting? I wonder. My husband will get my intake by asking did you get the WOW factor, like the one we got when we bought the house we are in now. We walked in an we hadn't even seen the rest of the house and we said WOW this is IT, we just knew and felt it. So far, have not gotten that feeling with any of the homes we have seen. We did with one it is KB model home it is AMAZING one story 4 bd but only 2 car garage and the 4th bdrm would have to be used as a study. I really want my hubby to have his 3 car garage. And when those come online for sale on HAR.COM (Houston Association of Realtors) they are sold within a few days or in a week, the 1 stories 3 car garage homes go fast. We did see one that was "close" to a WOW factor in a gated community BUT hubby and I couldn't get over the small breakfast area (you would feel cramped and of course biggie for husband you could not see the TV from there!) LOL.. That didn't bother me as I hardly watch tv but it was small we would have to get rid of our breakfast table that seats 6 and buy a very very small one that seats 2! NO WAY JOSE. Other than that the rest of the house was perfect. Oh well, the seach continues. Oh back to the model home that is the one hubby wants BUT they won't sell it UNTIL all the lots are sold and homes sold on it 1st. We keep checking with her every week, she said we are 1st on the list when they go to sell it. We even like some of the furniture in there that she said we could include in the price.

Here is the link to it www.kbhome.com/new-homes-houston/est
at
es-at-southfork

Look at pictures 1 - 5 and 11 (This is the model KB home I talking about plan 3005 b/c it is 3,0005 sq. ft.) What do you tink? it really does look like this. The couches in sitting area that is what we want to purchase with the house if this is the house we are meant to live in.

Omgosh I have talked your ear off long enough, I better get back to work. LOL..
Have a great day.
Maria

Maria,
I'm glad I'm not the only one who was up at 3am today :-) I woke up that early yesterday, too..boo!!
Chiro sounds like a good plan..5 minutes from work is awesome!!
I want rolls and nachos now ;-) I think Jackie would be okay with your other activity ;-)
Good workout plan.
Yes, I did do lower body on Friday. Did lots of laundry, groceries and stuff on Saturday and went for a long run on Sunday...6.66 miles total...probably should have gone an extra 0.01 mile. Looking at homes is super exhausting. I think moving to Pearland is a wise thing to do. I hope you find a house that you love just as much as the one you are in currently.
I'm hoping to get in upper body workout today after the chiropractor.
I've got some barbacoa in the slow cooker for dinner :-)

Nat,
Thanks for the best laugh ever! Especially since (1) it's a Monday Morning! (2) I have been up since 3 a.m. (had to take hubby to airport) and (3) I am at work. emoticon Yes, we have taken over this thread!

I think it is neurological so I need to go get that checked out. I am going to try my chiropractor first, she is one of my old soccer teammates and the best part is that her office is like 5 minutes from my work.

Since hubby KNEW he leaving for business for 4 days and knew I would miss him terribly, he drove the hour from his work to mine on Friday to take me to lunch! emoticon We went to Luby's.

OOoooohhh let me tell ya those rolls and nachos were good! I didn't end up doing Jackie Warner on Friday, other activity was planned for me by hubby since he would be going on of town today, if you know what I mean - wink wink! emoticon I haven't done Jackie since Wednesday of last week. Since hubby out of town and I don't sleep and boss will be leaving for vacation starting Wednesday, I will be getting up early and getting in my workouts b4 I come in to work (since I don't sleep anyway when hubby out of town). And then on my lunch breaks I can do the cardio part of it! emoticon

Were you able to get in the lower portion of JW on Friday? How was your weekend? Mine was pretty restful except looking at homes is exhausting. Yes, we looking at homes b/c hubby works (his new job he got in April) is an hour away in Pearland from Houston and the drive is getting to him. Plus, all my family lives in Pearland and surrounding areas so if for some reason my medical conditiosn get worse, I will have family close by to help me, not mention me retiring in April of next year it only makes sense he be closer to his work. I will miss my house that we live in now b/c I love it, wish we could just pull it up and take it to Pearland and just place it on property down there but that not possible. emoticon

Well better get back to work before boss comes in. I am able to goof off a lil b/c I got here at 5:30 a.m.!

have a great day.
Maria

That is weird about the right and left side. Maybe it is something neurological?
Yay for ankle/knee working themselves out. Everybody's bodies do weird things sometimes.
Did you end up walking or driving to lunch?
Rolls and nachos...that does sound good.
Have fun with Jackie tonight. I'll be doing the lower body portion when I get home from work.
I like how we've just taken over this thread, Maria. :-)

I though the girls in the back were smaller too, happy to know it is not in my head and that yo could see it too!

Funny, you say that about being weaker on one side, I am right handed, right footed, etc. BUT for some reason before I started with all these medical issues, I was stronger on the left hand side. But now weaker on the left and stronger on the right. It is a major different that I can actually feel, even when I am typing my right hand and left hand feel different. Like I can feel the keyboard keys on my right but I can barely feel them on the left hand. Isn't that weird, this has never happened before.

No, it ankle and right knee actually believe it or not got better after I went on my MORNING BREAK and took a walk! Though it took a little bit before it stopped hurting b/c I was limping at first and then thought maybe this not a good idea, but then after 8 mins it was fine. I tell you my body does some weird things. LOL....

I didn't get to read much of the book b/c I had to go to GNC to get my ammnio acids, so that took up most of my lunch and I went to a GNC further away b/c I didn't want to go past SRPINKLE'S! LOL.... So I only got to read 15 mins of the book but I like it so far. I forgot my lunch at home today so I will probably walk over to Luby's (not too close but not too far away to walk, only probably I don't want to be caught in the rain) and I really don't want to carry too much since I will have purse, book to read and then the only umbrella I have is this HUGE GOLF SIZE UMBRELLA. Might be better just to drive now that I thinking about it! LOL.....

I ate way too much last night at Logan's Roadhouse, I had 3 of their rolls and then their ENORMOUS NACHOS! YIKES! I think my dinner was like close to 1,800 calories alone! I really need to be prepared and have my snacks again on hand.

So will do my Jackie Workout tonight since last night we had dinner with hubby's old co-worker and his family. Pretty late night and dinner was late 7 p.m. (I am used to 5:30 or 6 p.m. dinners), really all I wanted to do was go home and go to bed yesterday, oh well I pushed through it last night, hubby thanked me for that.

I couldn't tell what size weights the girls in back are using...they do look smaller than Jackie's, though.
You are often weaker on one side, but do ask the neurologist about it.
Yay for jogging!! Does it still hurt?
Let me know about the book.
Awesome job passing up the cookies!!! I ate waaaaay too many yesterday...bad Natalie!! None for me today for sure!!
I'm going to elliptical or bike this afternoon and then do the upper body workout.

It is the quite the workout! Funny thing though again it is starting with me where I CAN literally feel I am weaker on the left side than the right side. I mean I can feel the weight is heavy (5 lbs) on my right and when they are on my left hand I can't feel them in my hands or how heavy it is or anything (might have to call the neurologist again) GEEZ. I can tell a huge different on my left side than my right.

I did get my walking in, well I jogged in place for 30 minutes while watching Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol. Watching the movie was a distraction so it went by FAST, but now for some reason my right ankle and knee hurt, I was jogging on carpet, don't know if that could affect it. Things that make you go hmmmmm.....

I brought the book and put it in my truck so that I could read on my lunch breaks (I read her other one This is Why yo uare Fat book in a week during my lunch breaks it was so interesting. I will have to go back and re-ead that book b/c there is part on there about sugar cravings if I rememebr correctly.

That I don't do that thing has been working really good for me the past two days. This morning walked into the office in the kitchen there were cookies and I sure wanted to grab ine but instead I slapped my hand and said I don't do that! And it worked, keep going in and out of kitchen for water and haven't even looked at them again.

It's quite the workout. You do get used to it a little, though.
I hope you get your walk in somehow. Are you thinking of buying a home?
I'll look today to see if they are 3 pounders when I do the lower body. I've been using 5's.
I have that book, too, but haven't read it yet.
I should try the "don't do that thing", too. Good luck!!

That's good Nat.
I did it Monday and I could barely move my arms, I was even more sore yesterday (Tuesday) I took day off from working out since Hubby and I had to go see homes in Pearland, an hour away and we had to meet there after my dr appts. I did the whole workout again today, I was still really sore BUT I felt better today than when I did it the first time. I was waiting for hubby tg get home to walk BUT it just started pouring down rain so don't know if we will get walking in, will have to pull out Leslie Sansone or jog/walk in place while we are watching movies tonight (rented Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol and Big Miracle) just do I can get cardio in.

I stopped the DVD and Jackie is using 5 lbs and the two in the back are using smaller ones though could not see the number on them like I could on Jackie's they looked like they were 3 lbs. Wheeww made me feel better! emoticon

Had to do both today since we are meeting an old co-worker of hubby and his family for dinner tomorrow night so working out is not possible not unless I want to be doing it at 10 p.m. which I really don't! emoticon

I want to follow this program for 30 days too but like you my eating is crappy as well, really have to get that under control, especially since I want to lose 20 lbs before Sept. 1 for our San Diego trip. I do have her 10x10 book and will be getting the eating ideas out of there maybe the will help my hypoglecemia. The RD wants me to follow a diabetic diet. I even drank a shake last night and I had a terrible headache afterwards, dr said TOO MUCH SUGAR! But then that is all I am craving these days. SUGAR SUGAR SUGAR. I started this new habit today maybe it will work maybe it wont. Ever time I want to eat something not good for me, I slap my hand and say I DON'T DO THAT! (as opposed to saying I CAN'T have that), we'll see.

I did upper body yesterday and my arms/chest/back are pretty sore today.
Cardio today is a good idea.
I don't know what size weights they're using. Maybe Jackie is using heavier than 5 lbs?
I haven't actually done it for 30 days, yet. My eating is always so crappy, I don't know if I'll ever see results. I'm going to try to do this for at least a month, though...2 days upper and 2 days lower.

Thanks Nat!
Omgosh I can barely raise my arms today! My legs just a lil sore but I have always been stronger in my legs (due to my old soccer playing days) my upper body strength is a whole other story! At times I had to put the 5 lbs down and just do the exercises w/o any weights! Last night I had a tough time shampooing my hair! So, I guess since I did them both last night I have a day off today? Then today will be just cardio, would love to jog/walk BUT it has been raining like crazy here everyday since last week. I know I can do walking inside but I want to be outside so bad! LOL....

Curious or the backup people using 3 lbs weights? They sure look alot smaller than the ones JW uses the 5 lbs weights. She also said in the workout that IF we have her other DVDs that this one can be used a switch it up one (incorporate it in with her other DVDs). Have you gotten any results from it?

You can alternate upper and lower body and do it 4 or 6 days/week or you can do both on the same day 3x/week. She wants you to rest your muscles a day between sessions.

Maybe you guys can help me. I have been looking everywhere on line as to if there is any type of schedule for this DVD. I am going to attempt it tonight after work, hopefully by then I will feel better. On her NORMAl DVD's on the back they will say do these 3x a week, etc. This DVD however, does not state anything it just says give me 30 days. So my questions are:

1. Are you supposed to do the WHOLE DVD for 30 days straight?

2. Or are you supposed to break it down like some of you have by upper and lower?

3. Are you guys getting results from this DVD?

I love all her other ones I do get great results from those, I am starting to get jiggle in some areas and time to tone up again.

Any tips/help/suggestions are appreciated.
Have a great day.
Maria

Just finished the Fast Start upper and lower body workouts. Tried it for the first time about a month ago and was sore for 3 days. Going to try to make it a routine now (in addition to getting a couple more of Jackie's DVDs).

Happy Sunday!

LADIES- How is everyone today?? (It's Friday where I am- by the beautiful, marvelous Chesapeake Bay.)

You ladies are a real inspiration. I'm tryin' to keep up (yet following my own pace)!!

TODAY I DID JACKIE'S FAST START UPPER & LOWER BACK-TO-BACK!! Also almost all the ABS' work, BUT...

For some reason whenever I'm on the floor, my sweet little doggie thinks I'm his favourite TOY!! Kind of annoying, but mostly it cracks me up...

I also did a few 25lbs KETTLEBELL INTERVALS emoticon and next I'm going for 20-30 mins of RIP60!! Somewhere in there could be a nap, and a bit later 45-60mins CARDIO.

emoticon emoticon

... Well, just about... emoticon emoticon

How are you doing?

No Jackie today - I mix things up or I'll get bored. First thing this morning got in 30 minutes of golds gym abs. Got home from work and got in 45 minutes of Kbells and 20 mins on treadmill. Next is dinner and bed. emoticon

Tomorrow is rest - maybe yoga and that's it. emoticon

Hi Natalie! I was looking at your profile. Have you tried STEVIA natural sweetener?

I like Jackie's Fast Start DVD, too.

Today did you do upper body, or lower, or both?

I did lower body yesterday, and today I've done upper and plan to repeat. Plus some cardio...

Cheers!

Yep - and she keeps her hands clasped together in front of her....ummmm mine are on my hips - knees - thighs - I'll use any appendage that will help me get up and down. My knees are quiet I just move a lot slower than they do. I'm too old to develop bad knees.... emoticon

I hear my knees crunch when I do UFC's, squats & lunges. No pain, just that nasty crunch sound. And I like those exercises. But as long as my knees don't hurt...

Has anyone tried her new workout? I've been doing it for a couple of week. I love it! It's broken down into two segments upper and lower, I do them both at the same time 3x's a week. SO far I lost 1.5lbs. I feel stronger. She really, really works the arms! Oh my!!! Just wondering what others thought!
