Thanks for your response and support. I realize what you are saying about TP. I am also seeing that even too much of a good thing- rotate or react idea. I am on day 12 and have some diverticulosis but pretty mild. My issues in the GUT or more from PPI and I want to chuck these when I get a little farther along with TP. On day 12 and down 5.8 pounds. It's slow going as I am at a 25 BMI now. But this is more for my inflammation than weight loss and that is doing a ton better than I was going in to this. Finding stress is a big factor too. It is an adventure in finding out what works and doesn't. Glad to hear you are keeping things from TP, I think I am in love with the broccoli soup. Good time of year to be doing this but learning a lot about things I thought were good for me and now not.
Thanks for the feedback and I will message you if I run into something I am questioning.

I know not how to aid you Pray without ceasing; not in mere words, but in so living united to God, in your affections and thoughts, that your life shall be one long and continued prayer.

Hi DEBBBJORNBE!

TMP is a very balance way of eating once you get past the cleanse! I still eat so much of what I grew used to eating doing TP! and in a similar way.

Whenever news stories come out about some food being so good for is - those foods seem to inevitably be core foods from The Plan. -blueberries, kale, raw almonds, broccoli, etc!

There is alot of information here in our forum threads that may be helpful, but sadly I may be the only one even checking in here anymore... :(

best of luck to you!
feel free to Private Message me if a question comes up.

Hello - just used Spark tonight to check out the Day 2 cleanse that I had today. Wanted to see what the value of the food that I ate today was in total. Not really very balanced but it is a cleanse and I get the concept, I added Almonds today, Will Add chicken tomorrow. It is going to be interesting to see what results I get. Can't say that it is doing much still in the headache phase and missing my gym time.
Be glad to get on a little further with TMP.
Sorry there aren't more to see how they are doing. I guess I will check out FB

Hello Team,

I haven't checked-in in a while - though I do check to see if there is any activity here
and I can answer Qs here or via private message.

I am currently using what I learned from The Plan and experimenting with delayed eating (fasting longer hours than just evening/overnight.) It has been an easy transition since I have quit eating @7pm since I started TP 4 years ago(whew.)

My scale had been stuck for awhile, and 12 days into delayed eating, my scale seems to be moving again.

I am using my knowledge and good food habits gained with TP as I do this.

I don't want to go into this more on our Plan forum as it is not "true" Planning.

The Plan has so much to offer in learning about what works for you!!!!
The information I gained using TP principles is invaluable to me!!
I will always use what I've learned and feel certain that I will revisit it when needed!

all the best!

Welcome Sparklemama!

Well, since you have been around SP for some years, I guess you know how to scroll through the Daily check in for 2017, 2016, 2015 and 2014 to see that there have been quite a few who have come and gone. Just recently JAVAFLOWER who has run the forum consistently since 2014 found that there weren't enough participants to justify the time of daily check ins.

I have been on TP and now TMP since August, 2015 and have lost 87#s. My intention is to use TMP for the rest of my life, even when I have slip ups once in a while. As I have written here and on LG's FB page many times, I feel that LG has providied me with the "Fountain of Youth" and I will be forever grateful to her.

I check in once every few days so feel free to ask questions, if you'd like. Also, I hope you know how to use the "Find" feature to search for specific topics in past forum entries.

Hello -

Well, I thought we might get some more people chatting and supporting when the new book came out, but that hasn't happened...
and as a team, we are petering out; not enough activity.

I will continue to check-in from time-to-time, but my energies are better used elsewhere more now.

onward!

Still working at TMP.
One thing I'm trying to work through is how to get rid of my cellulite without surgery.
Jon Gabriel lost 220# and seems to have lost his cellulite.
He sponsored "Coach Brian" in Australia to design 4 minute HIIT (high intensity interval training) which I find I can do. Hope it helps some of you!

(BTW, the actual workout starts around minute 2:39)
if the link doesn't work, just search for coach brian killian on youtube.

Had a pleasant visit with Dr for yearly checkup. He told me he only had 10 people in his practice that he has seen lose this much weight without surgery. So he was very complimentary, although he did not want to hear much about the specifics of TMP.

He just said "keep it up". I tried to explain about how unlikely it would be to regain large amounts knowing what I now know about reactive foods, but he kept saying he hopes it continues to work for me.

But the BP measure was still high so I'll have to continue with the meds for now. (I think it is because my cellulite gets pinched in the BP cuff while measuring and I get scared that my arm is going to blow up.)

Keeping on...

I see we have a lull in progress. Just reaffirming that I'm still doing TMP and have had some success using the one meal replacement a day of either a smoothie or a purred soup.

JavaFlower, those are some good ideas. I created a new cabbage-pacific cod-curry soup this week which would work out well blended. But then I would have to blend my 7-item salad, too.
Perhaps I'll have the soup for breakfast and not terrorize the salad. emoticon

Yes, the speech therapist has now taught me how to carefully feed my sister-in-law 3 oz just to try to get her swallowing again. (She gets her real nutrition through the feeding tube to her stomach.)

The ST warned me not to do any more than 3oz because she could regurgitate it hours later after I had gone and aspirate.

Keeping on... (lamb and Kale for dinner!)

Patricia, hugs of support to your cousin/friend!!!

If I were choosing to join in for the 6 weeks and want to stay on TP, I think I would choose liquid lunch - soups blenderized with veggies. Carrot Ginger Soup and Broccoli Soup are already blenderized...and maybe to make the point, try blenderizing my salad, too!
OR TP recipes for breakfast shakes, maybe.
Maybe a storebought shake meal replacement would work out okay - but everyday for 6 weeks might mess with your rotate or react even if it starts out friendly.

My husband's best friend had a stroke a few months ago, that messed up his swallowing enough to make them put in a stomach feeding tube and he can hardly even drink water without it going into his lungs.(doing therapy for this)
...along with my aging parents needing softer foods...

I have been thinking ALOT about losing the ability to chew and taste and enjoy food.
I feel like I am even MORE aware of the gift of taste!

I think a show of solidarity with a liquid meal once a day is totally doable ON The Plan!

Folks, my husband's cousin has a rare mouth cancer that is eating away her jaw from the inside. She will have to have another plate put in and her jaw wired shut for 6 weeks - forcing her on a liquid diet. She asked if anyone would like to replace one meal a day with a shake for a show of sympathy.

I'm seriously considering doing Optifast for breakfast for the next month or so. I know it works for me but it would be a lot more frequent than LG recommends. Do any of you have an opinion on the idea?

Yes JavaFlower,, Brooke from LG's team wrote back and said that they don't recommend supplements. I haven't lost anymore and seem to have gained from slipping up and eating a piece of lasagna with ricotta. So probably the green tea extract is not helpful.

Sorry about your power outage. I know what you mean about the clothes you use during the weigh in. During winter my PJ's are much heavier. But these days I'm trying to focus on the trend over a few days and not so much about the daily numbers. When I slip up and try something questionable, I just tightenen up the next day to get my digestion back into good working order.

Patricia,
I have heard of Green Coffee Extract - back in 2012 Dr Oz had it on his show for weightloss and my sister told me about it. After looking at WebMD etc, I decided the possible risks to my current conditions at the time didn't warrant trying it.
Good Luck with it!
onward, ever onward!

good morning -
whew - we were without electricity for a few days - high winds caused multiple outages in MI midweek.

What I ate during the outage was not very friendly and/or being cold convinced my body to store up more fat? I didn't strip down to weigh during those days - too cold! lol.

Time to clean out the fridge and cook up what thawed from the freezer! (and use safe food practices - if in doubt throw it out!)

Have a great weekend!

LG recently requested questions that she plans to answer in the next days-weeks. I sent her one about "Green Coffee Extract" that I heard about on PBS this weekend from Dr Perlmutter who said it not only helps with weight loss but increases brain function. I tracked some down at Walmart on Monday and I have taken 600mg daily since then. I'm down 3#s this morning after recovering from my failed egg test.

Anyone else know about this? I have blood pressure medicine and I'm not sure if the caffeine might be an issue or not. Then again I am keen on anything that will help with my
genetic risk of alzheimer's.

lost .4 a day this week - can't complain about that!!!

Well, I had some leftover greek yogurt that I had bought for the grand-daughter and ate some mindlessly yesterday. Bad idea. The cow's milk product brought back the morning nasal congestion that I hadn't had for many months. I gained a # and even my husband noticed the coughing.

YaY Patricia!!!!

I found I can do a fried cod at Culver's - I ask them to substitute green beans for the fries AND the coleslaw - and I only eat half of the meal - 1 cod plank, 1/2 roll with butter, green beans, and a serving of my no salt potato chips!

Like you said - not something I should have all of the time - but nice in a pinch - Hubby and I actually split the meal.

as for me:
my back/hip/etc issues are better and I am trying to rally to reboot!

So I was on the road yesterday taking my granddaughter back to her parents and needed to eat something. I was pleasantly surprized that the pacific cod sandwich at WENDYS helped me lose another .4#s overnight. I know it's not something I should do often and I have been told by Toby that I should only have fish twice a week, but it's nice to have something readily available when I'm on the road. I have also found that the OPTIFAST drink works for me when I am away from home. (But only one meal replacement a day.)

BIG HUGS, Patricia!

I have OFTEN found that short term stresses make me lose weight!!! Opposite of what LG says, it seems. I still don't want those stresses, though! even if that is often a nice perk - sigh..

Life happens; mistakes happen. -
Think of all of the times everything goes perfectly!
THAT is really what's cool - we do really well much of the time!!!!

my personal non-food emotional helps:

Keep reaching for friendly foods!

flowers
meditate
float in a pool or soak in a tub
binge watch a TV show or watch a movie - something uplifting! and distracting
allow myself to take time to read a good book
a strong walk!

and, if at all possible, the very best for me! is a good conversation with a trusted friend that allows me to spill it all out AND also allows me to be empathetic to their current issues!!!!
Life happens to us all!!!

I just want to say a little about stress and TMP.

I work in data base administration 20 hrs a month and yesterday I was doing a complicated procedure and I mistyped one of the steps and corrupted 3 files. It took 3 DBAs 4 hours to figure out how to put things right without disturbing the other users in the database.

Obviously this was very embarrassing for me and I almost forgot to eat yesterday and woke up this morning having a nightmare that was very similar to yesterday's situation. I didn't sleep much after that.

So I weighed myself expecting a gain because I didn't have much protein for lunch or dinner and didn't drink enough water. But I lost 1.8#s. I was lucky because I know my cortisol level went way up during the event. I'm planning to treat myself to a meditation to see if I can bring my worry level down. If the company decides to let me go, then that is not a big worry for me. What upset me is that I was disgusted that I made the mistake.

I think I need to forgive myself and accept that I'm not perfect. I hope this sparks a conversation about how to relieve stress to keep the cortisol level down.

Keeping on...

JavaFlower,
Your chip/dip mention reminded me that when my husband tasted the TMP broccoli soup (which I don't add as much water to as recommended), he said this would be better suited as a dip than a soup. So I'm planning to use about 1/2 c as my afternoon snack with either carrots or apple chips.

Well, the 30 days free consultation is today over and I have lost almost 10 #s but it has not been easy having someone else go over my food intake. I was often reminded that I have to follow the 20 day plan EXACTLY. And I hated that my beloved water walking turned out to be reactive after I tried to go to 6 minutes instead of 5. Evidently the pool being cooler in the winter messed up my digestion.

I am still very grateful to LG and Toby for the free assistance.

THANK YOU, Patricia!!!!
Good on ya!

Your recap is a really nice reminder for alot of us, on many levels!!!
My "friendlies" may be different from your "friendlies" but still lots of great info there, including:

EVERYTHING is a test!

rotate or react

as for me:
argh
BUT - I think I am just about done with the hip/back issue!!!!
I sent the superbowl chip dip and other Hubby snackies out of the house!!! The chip dip was the only thing that really called to me - and, thankfully, a couple Tbsp of sour cream/chip dip don't seem to change my weight any.
Still - sometimes it is difficult to keep to portion size - so "outta here!"

Friendly Menu Monday for me!

onward!

I think it's a good idea for me to summarize what I've learned thus far to have a record that I can go back to.

The first thing I learned is that I'm not very good at reading and following directions. I seem to always want to modify things a little bit. And this diet just doesn't work if you don't follow the directions exactly.

I learned that things that I took for granted as being friendly were not. they were a test. some of these were hempseed, cucumbers, goats milk brie, Scallions, cilantro and apple rings.

I now react to lamb, porkloin and raw almond butter and more than five minutes of water walking in Cold water.

I see now that I need to take my temperature every morning while I'm still in bed, and drink a true 50% of my weight in water +4 ounces for every 8 oz of wine I have.

I now know that COB (cream of Broccoli soup) has 8 grams of protein, 3/4 cup of hummus has 5 g, the TMP Ceasar is 3 g, pumpkin seeds is 9 gr, goats cheese is 6-7 gr. I need to know these numbers better in order to fill in for my vegetarian protein at lunchtime and sometimes dinner.

I learned that I need to rotate my go-to foods like hummus, scallions goats cheese, flaxseeds, cilantro and zucchini more often.

I should not have shiitakes more than once a week, I should take a probiotic when I need it, and I should not have any soup at dinner.

I have confirmed that I can continue with my chicken thighs, Pacific cod and now can have duck twice a week. I have also learned how to make sunflower seed butter to replace the almond butter.

emoticon

So I am still very grateful to Lyn and her team for this good personalized information.

Well, it took a while but I have finally found another protein that I can use in my rotation~duck.
It was tasty but a little expensive. My husband is happy for more variety, too.

I think that the TMP consultant has done a good job of explaining the need to find a good limit on my exercise and I think that some of the reason for reacting to just 6 mins. water walking might be from the cold water in the pool.

Also, she keeps pointing out that my vegetarian sources of protein, seeds, nuts, cheese, and chickpeas often don't add up to enough and that could cause a stall or gain.

I appreciate the gift of the 30 days from LG and am gathering my "Lessons Learned" so I can keep practicing this thing that is revolutionizing my life!

My day 10 menu with pacific cod worked tremendously as I was down 2#s this morning.

Hopefully she'll let me retest my vegan sausage today as a protein.

JavaFlower, I remember last year you mentioning the slush cup called ZOKU and I happened to see one at goodwill recently and put it in the freezer. This morning I'm testing it with my TMP smoothie and it does make it more fun. Thanks for the tip!

So the 19-20-21 days menus are all my own choice and Toby preapproved them but made some comments about the carrot soup having a lot of sugar and not to exercise too much
but increase the time by 20%.

I lost .4 Sat morning and another .4 Sun but this morning I was up .6! She said that it
was that I snuck in goat's cheese and hummus too often. and that I should repeat my Day 10
again which was my biggest loss (1.4) today. But I'm going to have to change one item because the TMP Caesar has goat's cheese in it.

Instead of adding menu items, I am still stripping some away.

Before January I was having goat's cheese and rye toast every other day and hummus in my salads at noon and dinner almost daily. I guess I'm glad to be more aware of these things. But I am anxious to find some more proteins besides Pacific cod and chicken!

In reviewing TMP - I'm not certain that odd days makes sense for the way lots of people's work weeks go - etc.
Like much of TP/TMP - the goal is to make it your own!!!! (though trying to do the 30 days makes sense to get an understanding, too!)

You are Making it WORK, Patricia - YaY!!!

as for me:
my scale is heading back down - my hip/back are getting a bit better each day...
until then - eating TP friendly and balanced and trying to get back up to all of my water as my mobility increases! (bathroom hopalongs were not pretty for a few days there! so I had to back off of my water amounts a bit)

onward!!!!

Yeah, the 1.4 gain was a shocker but I've lost .4# on each of the last 2 days so I'm back on track. The weekends are different because I report Fr-Sat-Sun alltogether on Monday morning. I am supposed to test another minute of exercise today but I think I still need some good losses so I'll keep it to 5 min water walking. I find the hydrotheraphy still happens in that short span.

I am not sure that I like the new emphasis on testing exercise on the odd days. Everyone is different so I'll accept that it helps the majority, but for me I don't think it really fits.

Well, I gained 1.4# from retesting pork loin which I've had in my weekly rotation for over a year. Because another favorite, lamb also needs to be re-tested, I'm facing the reality that
I am short 2 good protein sources. Next I'll test my vegan sausage but it won't be for a few days.

I want my weight loss to continue so I have to accept these things although it is a heartbreak because it took months to find them.

Toby has been a very good help to me and I'm down another .6#. Yesterday was day 15
and I was so glad to have my hummus back after testing it yesterday.

But she recommends me making my own sunflower seed butter to switch with the raw
almond butter which I have had way too often. You soak the seeds in water for an hour
and then grind them up. It doesn't taste as good but I need the protein source.

Thank goodness my pumpernickel bread passed the other day.

Now she is going to let me stay with the water walking and sauna and just keep increasing the number of minutes by 20% until I have a reaction.

I don't think that I will have a reaction if I keep it under 15 minutes daily but I am letting her
direct me.

Keeping on...

How is everyone doing?

I have some inflammation going on with my strained back/hip, so I am still eating friendly until I can get back on TMP

...hope everyone is enjoying the ride - gathering good data to work TMP to their advantage!

Oh Patricia {HUG}

maybe you delay with exercise inflammation resolving?
It will all work out!

as for me:
ARGH - pulled muscles around a hip - maybe from doing a few 'bicycles' a couple of days ago.
This reaction is a HUGE FAIL - I can't even stand up straight; much pain.

even though I stayed with a friendly menu today - their is probably measurable inflammation gain with this injury....

sigh -
it has been an interesting couple of weeks...

on we go - because we must!

On Thursday I was encouraged to do 5 mins of the Low Impact Cardio video and I was surprized that I gained .6#, all other things being on strict TMP. So she told me not to test the porkloin or the vegetable Friday.

So Friday I had the DAY 12 basil escarole soup and then just chicken with roasted veggies for dinner and was surprized that I gained anouther .6# this morning.

I am suspecting it might be either the home made chocolate candy with coconut flakes (no sugar added) and slivered almonds and dark chocolate or some real muscle build up from the 5 minute video on Thursday. In any case, I am still a little constipated. Toby wants me to try a probiotic.

But that means I'm stuck in the water again without exercise, a new protein or a new vegetable to test today.

Frustrated!

Hooray, I seem to be back on track because I tested Pacific Cod yesterday and was very true to TMP day 10 otherwise. Result ~> 1.4# down!

I was allowed just 5 mins water walking and 5 mins sauna because Toby said it might be an extra test. OK I am trying to let her guide me but it almost seemed silly. I enjoyed the refreshemnet though.

Toby's only reaction to my question about slow digestion is that I should be glad my reaction didn't last 72 hours. So she thinks the lamb was reactive. Oh well, I'll test lamb again next month.

I plan to test pork tenderloins next and cabbage will be my first vegetable test. I'm trying to see where my go-to foods no longer work for me.

Workin' It, Workin' It!!!! Patricia!!!

It sure will be interesting for you to hear Toby's take on the delay you figured out!
yep - just Data to help you keep on Workin' It!

as for me -
I'm on a hold due to some health issues kicking up, but still trying to be stay TP friendly. In fact - lamb burgers are on my menu for tonight! I sure hope some other culprit reveals itself so you can have your lamb, too, Patricia!

I have the The Metabolism Plan book and have been reading through it. I was following the menus last week, too and will probably jump back into a Day 3 when my issues resolve!

Two days ago I forgot the goat's cheese and almonds for lunch and then tested my beloved lamb patty for dinner, also was low on the water. Result~> up .6#. So Toby thinks it's the lamb.
She advised me not to exercise for the 2nd day in a row and just try to do chicken for lunch and dinner yesterday. I was pretty careful and drank the 120 oz water before 5pm (ugh!).
Result ~> down 1.8#.

I wrote to her this morning my theory that my body takes longer than 24 hours to digest the lamb based on the more frequent bathroom visits. Let's see if she still thinks it's the lamb.
It is just DATA, right?
She might agree with me but I'm thinking she'll tell me to get a probiotic.

BTW, my book arrived yesterday and the plan matches the plan they sent me before the consulting started. I read more about the thyroid and I think I am borderline becasue this morning I was 96.8 BBT.

JavaFlower, I'm sure I have seen this link on LG's FB page:

Low impact cardio - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaJryQEsT94

I had a mixed up weekend and ate the wrong breakfast and then used
left over soup instead of the soup called for and then eating the chicken
and roasted vegetables that someone else prepared. End result, I gained
1# then lost .4# so I am trying hard today to eat exactly what is called for.

I understand now why Toby wants me just to mention the ingredients without
the # of calories, fat, protein, sodium etc. She goes through and finds likely
culprits and writes her comments right underneath. For certain items she
wants me to mention the amount but for others just the item.

She is very good and I think I'm learning some things.

Your doing great, Patricia!!!

I figure I will get back to my stronger exercises when my weight is less. And if the testing finds an exercise that helps the weight come off more easily, it will be worth it!!!
And then I will get back to my walking 5 miles!!! because THAT is what helps my mental health more than anything else I have ever found.

Patricia - can you share the exercise link that Toby is recommending for you? I know LG has been posting a few different ones publicly on youtube, so it should be okay to share if it is one of them, I'd think.
?

as for me:
my guts were an issue Thursday, so I tested oatmeal yesterday because it calms my gastrointestinal upsets (and it has tested okay in the past) and tweaked my menu to a bit less oils...
-my scale was down another 0.4

Today, I'm doing Day 5 over with the menu!

Eyes on the PRIZE!
and on we go!

I was down 5#s since Monday on Thursday but then used the dry roasted almond butter instead of raw and gained 1# back yesterday. But yesterday I misunderstood and ate the apple slices WITH the raw almond butter and stalled this morning.

Also, I am instructed to NOT do the daily water walking during these 30 days so that we can test my reactions to exercise. I find it frustrating but am still grateful for this gift from LG and Toby and I want to let her do the job the way she has been trained. So yesterday I went to the Y and today I'll have to rest. Tomorrow she wants me to a 5 minute exercise routine on youtube.com. I don't like doing squats because I seem so clumsy but I'll try it. I guess this is how the new book will work too.

Day 3 results - down another 1# for a cleanse days total of 4.6# down. Yay!

Today is Day 4 of this ReBoot for me:
This morning, for breakfast, I tried 1/2 pear, chopped, microwaved with a bit of cinnamon,
and then added a few craisins and 10 almonds. I liked it!
(flax caused me grief, so I have to replace it, but I miss it's effectiveness!)

With this ReBoot,
I've been thinking of our friend, Marilyn, and fondly remembering her love of this quote,

Great GOING!!!! Patricia!
I'm with ya!

my scale was down 1.2# this morning for a two day 3.6, I'm right behind ya!

I am, generally, not a fan of pears and only tolerate them in my salads during menu days; I will have to try 'nuking' one as you suggest!, perhaps with a bit of cinnamon!

I, too, am missing my walking, but will get back to it soon and maybe some other exercise with the new book TMP

on to Day Three!

Day 2 of The Plan -> down 2.2#.

I have to admit that I have been a little hungry and am missing my full salads for lunch and dinner but I am trying to do this as carefully as possible. I am hoping to establish some new foods that I can add to my rotation, One item I have been neglecting is the pear as a fruit. I microwave it for 2 minutes and it is a great snack.

Also, I am genuinely missing my daily exercise routine. I'll be able to get back to the pool and sauna on Thursday.

As requested, I am emailing my results every morning to Toby and she responds before 12pm. I'll try to share any tips she gives me.

ReBoot Day One results - down 2.4
but reactive with the probable culprit being the flax granola (works WAY TOO well on me these days if you know what I mean!)

Patricia, I SO understand your vision stressout! I have worn eyeglasses since I was 9 years old and one of my nightmares during sleep is even not being able to find my glasses! For many of us, corrective lenses make a big difference in how we are able to navigate our world!!!

Wow - nice loss!!! I too can have pork! and it is nice in my rotations!

as for me:
my scale stayed the same for me with having tried a brown rice biryani product with dinner last night. It was tasty and nutritious, but will not be in my menus again, at least not for awhile.

cold and snowblowy up north, too! It can be very pretty, hope you enjoy it!
...and stay safe in it!

I don't know if this has happened to any of you reading but yesterday I had quite a scare. One of the screws in my eyeglasses fell out and the lense came loose. Luckily I had a little eyeglass repair kit but I had to search all over for an old pair of glasses in order to see the tiny hole to put the screw in. Even with the glasses, it took me forever to see whether I needed the flat head or the phillips head screwdriver. But after about 20 minutes I had my glasses back. But I was realizing that I couldn't have driven the car to the eyeglass store without a working pair of glasses. I have a new appreciation for my glasses.

Glad to report that even with a big pork chop, salad and broccoli dinner last night, I still lost 1.2# since yesterday!

We're expecting 3-5 inches of snow tonight here in NC so I have stocked up on my veggies for the weekend. Gotta have my salads!

Javaflower, it appears it's the same 20 day Fall menu that we are familiar with. I don't see any new items.
However the entry of seven days of food is turning out to be quite a clerical endeavor. I'm trying to list every single food item in my salads in all my recipes so that Toby will have a good chance of finding my culprits. Just yesterday I had 60 items on my list. So I'm still grateful that the app called FatSecret is doing a lot of my logging for me.

I stayed the same from yesterday but I think it was because I missed out on drinking all my water again.

Patricia, is your new menu with the TP nutritionist the new menu in TMP book, do you know?
I hope the new book's insights and new menus are worth waiting for! Until then I am working on getting my water in and getting back in the balance of TP eating and being mindful about choosing friendly foods.

my scale is down another 0.4 this morning.
so far, so good...feeling better!

Thankfully, as you lose weight, you reduce water intake
(and conversely, since I gained some weight this last year, this refocus includes increasing water intake -for awhile!!!)

I had a way of keeping track of my water intake that included a LARGE glass that easily held 16 oz, but it broke. I am trying to find a new big glass, but until then, I am trying to figure out another way that works for me.

down again today after a mindful day yesterday with not quite enough water.

JavaFlower, I have the same issue with water and I need to really keep an eye on it.

I have had a good start this week and I'm down 2.5#s since Sunday.

Keeping track with the "FatSecret" app allows me to see my progress on my apple watch too.

I guess I am revealing too much to anyone who has access to "the cloud" database that fatsecret.com runs, but at this point the need to keep all these details (foods, weight loss) organized overrides my need for privacy. Once I have finished the 30 day reboot with Toby,
I might just tone down the broadcasting of everything I put in my mouth.

Wishing you continued success in the New Year, Patricia!

as for me:
down a pound this morning just from getting my water in and being more mindful of what I was choosing to eat!!! YES!

I may do the flax with the new book menus, but for now I am aiming Friendly, and flax has often caused me discomfort in the last couple of years, (started TP almost FOUR years ago!)
so I may try flax again when I start TMP.
for now:
B: blueberries and almonds

on we go - because we MUST (and because it makes us feel SO GOOD!!!!)

Yes, thanks JavaFlower. I was approached last week and I'm really looking forward to seeing where I need to tweek my menus. They have sent me the newest 20 day menu plan and want me to email Toby Ford my food log, weight, digestion and mood every morning. Then she will email me back any suggestions she has.

I have pre-ordered the book and will report all my findings here on SP in case it helps others.

good morning

Today is all about making sure I am getting all of my water in (had to increase it due to weight gain - argh) and we will finish leftovers today or freeze them for Hubby lunches.
He has not committed to doing TP again - I wish he would as it was some of the best/calmest months of our marriage - was it the food? or some food we were doing without, I am not sure.
I will say this, since then I have noticed that drinking coffee makes him agitated and mean.
ah well, I wish he would join me again 100%, but I don't think he will be tomorrow, maybe with the new book, we'll see

Tomorrow, I will start a modified TP reboot. (no flaxseed until TMP)

I am starting to relog (is that a word) all of the food I put in my mouth by using the app called "FatSecret" while I do my reboot. I suspect that I have become reactive to one of my go-to meals. In the past I have found these apps a little too tedious but this one gives you a good idea of where the carbs and fats are piling up. I saw fior example that the 1/3 avocado at lunch is my biggest fat source.

Also, since the school kids have been monopolizing the YMCA pool since before Christmas, I have not been there in about a week. Got to get back to my hydrating!

And on we go....
