Denise we have looked at rubber mulch but never made a decision for it. Malc worries a lot about staying natural so we use a hardwood mulch...still pricy but not as much. Your rubber mulch shouldn't have to be redone every spring like we do ours.

I know about expensive yards though. Our house is about 40 years old and the whole front was bordered in hedges that had died on the inside and back. They looked terrible from inside the house and just look old and dated from the outside. We had a good local landscaper design a plan for the entire perimeter of the house and just had to close our eyes and sign the papers to get the job done. We are so glad now that we did it. His plantings are low maintenance and beautiful and we have things blooming from May through mid-October. I still cringe at the expense but I cannot keep up the gardening any more and I know it would have taken us several summers to implement his plan. This way it is done and we are thoroughly enjoying it. Mal told me that being able to do things like this are one reason we worked for 40 plus years. We don't splurge often but when we do it is for something we really want. I almost cried when they hauled away those old ugly shrubs and I saw what our house could look like.

Kat said her wi fi is down and Roy is going to the office there about the problem.
She may try to post later from her phone.
She wishes everyone a Happy and Safe 4th of July.
Tom spent a lot of money Wanda on the rubber mulch over their four bags of it.
Yes it looks nice but it's not cheap to do this.

emoticon An absolutely beautiful day here...except for the heat...it was over 80 when I got up this morning. I know Vicki and Kat are used to heat extremes but we northerners would at least like a little breeze with our hot days...and this one considers anything over 80 a hot day. emoticon

Well at least I love the sun because we are getting plenty of it; no rain in the foreseeable future.

Denise, we have spent more time on our home and lawn this year too. It really looks good. Just makes it that much nicer when I have to be indoors; the view from the sunroom is so pretty.

Speaking of sun rooms; what is really the right word; some call them lanais, some say indoor patio, or just patio, I usually say back porch or sunroom. Ours is a commercial add-on to the house, we just covered and walled in the old concrete patio. In spring, summer, and fall, it is my favorite place to be. It is also Theo's playroom, my plant room, a music room, etc.

Kat, how are you feeling? I hope the back is at least a little better. Have you heard any more about the hernias. I hate that you still have joint pain too. One thing at a time right! We just take each step knowing that God walks with us.

Bea, I hope your rain is gone and that you will have a lovely 4th! Is this a family day for you? It usually is for us but Steve and his family have headed out kayaking for the day and our other family is too far away. We will celebrate by ourselves this year.

Vicki, my goodness! I feel guilty when I complain about the heat. I know that Florida starts burning up at this time of year! Hope you and Bob are doing well and that your car has great air conditioning! I was only in Florida once in the summer and it was northern Florida but it was still hot hot hot!! So hard to get out even just to get errands done! Does your apartment complex have a pool? I'd be down there even if it was just to sit on the edge and kick my feet in the cool water - of course I'd have a tall glass of iced tea with me!

Prayers all around my friends!

Beautiful picture, Vicki! I wish celebrating the 4th of July could bring our country together!

90s here for the past three days and we are supposed to be in a string of 9 or 10 days in the 90s with no rain. We really need rain! I really need those 70s days back too. It is just to hot!

Just stopping in to wish everyone a very happy 4th of July!! The celebrations will go on all weekend and some of us will be bombarded with temptations. Not me though, still self-isolating. I will hear the fireworks but I will not be able to see them. No big family get togethers either.

I will cook some good summertime food, probably a couple of salads, potato and an antipasto salad we like, I'll have Mal pick up a rotisserie chicken for tomorrow; we will have it with potato salad and fresh green beans. Sunday will be antipasto salad with grilled steak and roasted potatoes and veggies. Simple food that we enjoy. I haven't planned any desserts though and Mal certainly deserves a treat for all he does so I'm thinking maybe homemade cookies or brownies with ice cream. Ugh! It is so hard for me to have that stuff in the house, but with No S I could allow myself a small dessert each day as long as I don't splurge anywhere else.

Denise, sounds as if you guys are enjoying the peace! I hope Justin and Maria are having a nice safe time and won't bring the bug home with them. We keep hearing that Covid is on the rise and indeed Dayton, OH has mandated masks in public places. We are in a suburb to Dayton, but our Covid numbers are very low. It is always surprising how this virus spreads.

Thinking of each of you, Prayers all around!!

Kevin worked hard today at the post office job.
Yesterday his driving glasses broke at work.
We called around to see where we could go to get the screw on them fixed.
Thankful that one of the local places was able to help him.
His daughter had gone to school with both.of my.sons.
He was kind enough to fix them and did not charge when he heard where Kevin works.
He told him he appreciated his service .
That made Kevin feel good.
Then we took him to Old Navy for curbside pickup of more pants for work.
He is one of the best dressed guys at his job.
He Loves wearing the colorful chinos or dockers.
He will be working.tomorrow .
Yes we know the post office does not deliver but mail must be sorted , etc.
Thankful he gets time and a half for pay.

Good afternoon my dear spark friends here,
Kevin went into work around 1 pm today so we were busy in the morning.
He helped make breakfast this morning of liquid egg whites with mushrooms and spinach and Peppers and Thomas light multigrain English muffin with olivio butter spray.
He is a big helper. Then we went for a nice walk around the neighborhood.
I had a small load of laundry this morning.
Then Tom and I did some gardening .
Then the man came to fill up the holes in my backyard with dirt.
It will have to be left to dry out a few days.
Then he will be back again next week to put down grass seed on both holes.
Tom is trying to get the lawn mowed today.
Kevin is really trying hard on the post office job.
We have been emoticon Praying for my son Kevin and my family also my Dad.

Good afternoon my dear spark friends here today,
Thanks for the team Support and Encouragement and Motivation and Friendship here.
Thinking of all of you dear spark friends fondly today. Here's hoping that everyone of you dear spark friends are having a nice day today. I have been very busy all day.
Yes I got up early to get the grocery store shopping done. That took an hour this morning.
We were very low on several different items. Thankfully the store was not packed but we did wear our masks. Then I came home and finished with my laundry.
Tom and I went for a morning.walk around the neighborhood.
Then Kevin came home from work. Btw it's National postal service appreciation day.
We sure appreciate what he does and we appreciate our postal lady.
We had a light lunch of kale salad with tuna and almonds and some grapes with olive oil and vinegar.
I.Love my salads and it fills me up.
Then we went to Dunkin with Kevin to treat him to a cup of coffee.
He is working hard on the post office job.
He truly.Loves working for them and doing well.
emoticon Praying for my son Kevin and my family also my Dad.
No.Kat unfortunately we have not heard a word from my sister at all.
It will be one year since my Mom died on July 24th.
My sister does not talk to us except when I saw her on my birthday in October .
Ugh. I faintly have moved on from her drama.
My brother and I talk regularly on the phone .
Hoping to get together with him whenever this pandemic ever ends.
We usually meet up.for lunch.
Kevin and Tom and I went for a nice walk around the neighborhood a little while ago.
I'm really been trying hard on my weight loss journey.

My weight fluctuation are up and down by a pound but not worried.
I'm not Giving Up on myself.
Everyday is a new challenge for me .
emoticon emoticon emoticon

Pain levels are up and down from the fibromyalgia and arthritis but I'm trying hard.
emoticon Walking when I can.

The men have to come back to fill up the hole in our backyard .
They did fix the broken sewer pipe . Cost nothing comes out of taxes .
A service used by everyone in the town.
Also still waiting for parts to get central air conditioning ductwork replaced along with the handler in our attic.
Yes Kat we have an extra outside home insurance outfit to cover that too.
It will save us a bit but that unfortunately will cost us to repair.
It will not cost as much.as if we didn't have the coverage though.
Prayers all around for the team today.
emoticon
Bea good luck.with the procedure tomorrow.

Good afternoon,

It's another rainy day! I still walked 3 miles early this morning. Even with my umbrella I got wet. Robert and I walked a half mile . He didn't want to walk the full mile. Wimp! lol

Tomorrow is my medical procedure. I'm ready. I'm tired of waiting. We have to leave here at 5:30 AM to get there on time. I have to get up at 4 to get everything done. Ugh!

I have a chicken carcass on the stove now. I'll make some chicken noodle soup in a little while. Easy dinner!

Love the meme, Vicki! Sounds like you are fighting a plateau and frustrated. You have been through this before and you will make it through this time too! Plateaus happen to all of us and oh my, it is soooooo frustrating.

According to one Spark article I read, the solution is to make small changes to get things moving again, like a little more water, a small change in diet, maybe 5 or10 minutes more exercise...the idea is to do something that will just jog your system a bit.

The thing that gets us through most plateaus is just the determination not to give up and I KNOW you are not giving up.

Good Afternoon!

I'm glad to say, Bea, that it is NOT a rainy Monday here. In fact it is beautifully sunny which I can enjoy here in the house. It is 86 degrees and muggy outside. Love that sun though.

Denise I did get the paperback and found it encouraging and supportive...a lot of common sense in that little book. I don't push it though because others might find everything they need online for free. I was really impressed by this author he practically says, "you don't need the book; I only wrote it because people didn't believe it was so simple!" Sometimes it is nice though to pick up the book and just understand once again that it really is that easy! LOL

Mal has set up the stationary bike and the treadmill in the garage. I have been getting more steps each day for the past several days. I am over 3000 steps today. Last week I decided to check my steps after not wearing my fitbit for over a year...you can imagine my shock when I had barely walked 1000 steps. No wonder I am losing muscle, I am just not moving. Anyway I am trying to turn that around and want to be up to 5000 steps soon. I did not expect to hit 3000 steps this quickly so I am pleased.

Today he brought turnips, beets, zucchini, onions and lettuce home from the garden. I will take some of the veggies for a vegetable soup tomorrow but most of it will go to House of Bread.

Prayers all around my friends. An answered prayer today: We just heard that a nephew and his wife are pregnant after trying for some time! YAY for them.

Good morning my dear spark friends here,
Thanks for the team Support and Encouragement and Motivation and Friendship here.
Thinking of all of you dear spark friends fondly today. Today is sunny and around mid eighties . I did a load of laundry this morning. Then Tom and I went for a walk around the neighborhood. We came back and realized now that we have a problem in our backyard.
Well actually we saw it yesterday there is water build up. We called this outfit we use regarding the sewer that does the work for nothing. Anyway looks like we have a burst pipe they told us in the ground. Now that will require them coming back to dig up in the backyard.
Ugh I know it has to be done but hoping it will not cause mud or sediment when doing laundry. Always seems to be something else happening here.
Wanda I've been trying to read up on that plan. I understand the concept though.
Thanks for sharing . I might order the paperback version.
Did you get a paperback version to refer to?
Hoping that all is going well for you and Mal.
Bea hoping all is going well for you and Robert.
Vicki hoping all is going well for you and Bob.
Kat praying and hope that all is going well for you and Roy.
I'm trying hard on my weight loss journey.

I walked 2.5 miles early this morning. When i got home, I showered and got ready for church. I had my mask. They are so stuffy! Robert and I walked a mile this afternoon. We didn't put it off until later because it's supposed to rain around 4.

Robert had to check on Bernie's computer. She thought she had a virus. Robert was gone less than 30 minutes. It turned out to be a popup ad for virus protection.

I still eat at traditional times. When I get up, then around noon, then around 5:30. That's probably what helped when I started losing weight.

Denise, as you will read, the No S diet is not actually a diet but a plan that helps you to maximize the diet you choose to be on. It really helps me to plan any treats and snacks. I've been doing it for about 4 years and I just find that it keeps me grounded and I don't really have to think about it a lot.

One of the things the author said really got to me.

This isn't an exact quote but he said that back in the 50s 60s and 70s, We ate a meal, Mom cleaned up the kitchen and then it was closed until it was time for the next meal but we have moved far away from that and now the kitchen never closes and we never really stop eating. No one says "you just had dinner" or "wait until dinner" like our mothers and grandmothers did. America eats whenever and wherever today.

Good afternoon my dear spark friends here,
Thinking of all of you dear spark friends fondly today. Hoping you all are having a nice day today. Today is cloudy and overcast and around mid eighties .
Tom and I went for a nice walk at a park near my Dad's. It's beautiful there so got in a nice walk. Unfortunately not as many miles as you Bea. Congratulations on your three mile walk Bea. I also walked around the neighborhood here already to get in my exercise.
Kat glad the injections in your knee and back brace are helping.
Wanda good choice of music to listen to. I like that type of music also.
We are still quarantining. We only go out for groceries during senior hours.
We go for walks and we did get haircuts and I got my nails done.
We wear face masks regularly too.
I have not heard of the No S diet? I plan on researching it . Best of Luck on the plan Wanda.
Let us know how it works for you.
Got to go get some chores done before it rains here. The sky is getting dark...

Good morning! We are having a good day here, cloudy but no rain yet. I have been a chair potato this morning so I have to get moving. I went to YouTube to find a song by Kris Kristofferson and Rita Coolidge, The Hobo Lullaby, it is one of my favorites of his. Then one video led to others, mostly gospel, I listened to several versions of "Just a Closer Walk with Thee" and "How Great Thou Art" as well as "The Old Rugged Cross and several less known hymns - They lifted my heart.

Denise, the new WW plan sounds good. I know that I would always overeat those "free" foods; I have to have a tighter routine to lose. My dad used to tell me that "Northing in life is free, Wanda." I think he knew what he was talking about. LOL

Kat, so glad the shot in your knee helped enough that you don't need the brace. Glad the posture brace is helping too. My parents were sticklers about posture so it became a good habit to stand straight, shoulders back but....I'm slipping as I get older. Now I have to remind myself when I'm slumping and I have asked Mal to remind me too. I know posture and balance are important weapons against falls. My MG attacks both of those so I'm fighting back by standing straight and practicing standing on each leg every morning. So far I think I am doing well.

Bea...4 miles!!! You always blow me away with three!! Good for you! I got 2500 steps yesterday and I'll have to get moving to beat that today. I'm just shooting for a few more steps each day until I finally get to my goal again.

We are still quarantining; but we went out last night. There is one restaurant near us that we enjoy and they are taking such good care of us. No close seating, in fact they have removed half their tables and only seat every other booth. Removed most of the stools from the bar too. On top of that their servers are wearing masks and constantly using hand sanitizers and the booths, chairs and tables are wiped with disinfectant between customers. We keep our masks on too, until the food and beverages come. I had awesome steak tacos last night and Mal had a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with fries. We left a double tip because they are trying so hard to keep their business going and the waiters gave up unemployment checks to come back to work even though they were getting more pay on unemployment. That is employee loyalty so I know the owners are good employers.

Nascar race today! I'm making sloppy joes for dinner. A bakery near us makes awesome sandwich buns so that will be a real treat. We don't eat bread often; partly because of Mal's blood sugar and this will be two days in a row for him....sometimes quarantine and trying constantly to eat healthy gets to us so we are not as strict on weekends.

Have any of you heard of the No S diet? All the details are free online; I stick close to it; it is easy and actually I use it as a supplement to my moderate-carb, higher protein eating..

Well, like I said, it is past time for me to be moving. Take care; Prayers all around!!

Good Evening

I walked 3 miles early this morning. Robert and i walked a mile this afternoon. Lately, we've been walking in the evening because it's cooler. It's cooler today. I think Robert is tired of going to the grocery store, going after the mail, and other errands. All part of my day. He grilled burgers tonight.

Thanks for the anniversary greetings. Yes 49 years. It's a long time.

And yes, Bernie is back to her tricks again. I'm looking for the right time to confront her on it. It'll be after the 4th.

Basically the eating plan for green is more smart points and less zero point foods .
It's 23 on blue for smart points and 30 on the green. I don't always use the thirty .
I just change so I'll need to adjust things and stay on it at least two weeks to see if it works.
Worth a try considering I have a lot of weight to lose.
At least 43 or more pounds .
Ugh it's a slow process but I've had my ups and downs.

Good Morning, Everyone!

I think I have caught up on all your posts again! Not much has changed around here, we're still living very quietly. I hate to hear about all the states that are experiencing upticks in Covid. Ohio is now shown as one of them on the map they show but it seems to be in certain cities. Dayton, near us, is one of them. I hope people will start complying with masks and hand washing again...those seem to be the keys.

Bea, 49 years? That is just great! Everyone on this team knows how much love and dedication that takes. Congratulations to you and Robert! Hope his doctor's exam for the lump on his chest is "no change". I watched a show called the Pimple Popper one night in which a dermatologist removed a large fatty lipoma....it was gross but she also said they are harmless. Boy, this one was very visible and the patient was thrilled to have it gone.

Bernie continues to be problematic...who would be surprised about that. Well I don't think it is mean for you to say NO. She needs to get her appointments lined up so that she gets them coordinated on the same day or same two days of the week or month. There is no reason for almost-daily appointments. It is too hard on everyone and certainly strain any possibility for friendships. Would she be willing to allow you to make and coordinate her appointments? You could just tell her doctors that Bernie has transportation available only on Tuesdays (or whatever day) of the week. You might also be able to screen out appointments that are not necessary. It would just be so much easier if Bernie would work with you a little! I'm not sure what she does if you just quit taking her.

When do you have your procedure? What are you having done...I guess I didn't read back far enough to catch that. Prayers for a great outcome!

Denise, 2 lbs down...WOOHOO! Maybe the change in WW plans is just what you needed. Is the eating plan a lot different?
Justin keeps your life in turmoil with his drama...and now Maria's. I'm sure it is never boring but always stressful, right? Where in the world do they get the money for all these vacations? Justin has a job right? Is he 'working from home" now? I do know someone who can work anywhere he can get on a computer. Have he and Maria made an offer on a house yet. I'm thinking they are two strong-minded people who will forever bump heads but ..... sometimes those couples make it if they are really in love.
Love Kevin's attitude about work! He has grown a lot since his coffee shop days...LOL. Good for him!

Kat, hate, hate, hate that you have so many health issues going on and so much pain. Do you know how many procedures you will have for the hernias? I know that they will sometimes do more than one in a surgery episode but don't know if they will try to do all eight.

Well it is a rainy day here, just a soft rain, not stormy. Mal wants to take me for a drive so I'd better get moving.
Prayers all around my friends...we certainly need them don't we? Son Philip was notified that his job has been eliminated at his publishing house in Manhattan. Job hunting has already started. He was with the company for nearly 25 years. They gave him a good severance package..a week pay for every year with the company so he will be okay if he can find a job in the next 6 months or so. He worries because he turns 50 in two days...says it makes it harder to find work.

Good Afternoon

Not the best timing! Today is our 49th anniversary and I'm self quarantine. lol I think Robert will order something and we'll eat in our backyard. It is what it is! We'll make the best of it.

It's a hot sunny day. I walked 3 miles early this morning before it got hot. I have laundry on the clothes line. For now, we're staying inside keeping cool. It'll be nice this evening.

Good afternoon my dear spark friends here,
Thinking of all of you dear spark friends fondly today. Thanks for the team Support and Encouragement and Motivation and Friendship here. Today is sunny and around 84.
Tom and I went to my Dad's to pick up a letter he needed to mail certified. Just got back now. I did a load of laundry this morning.
Justin is back together with Maria after she cried this morning.
They are still planning on leaving tomorrow to go away .
Apparently traveling to several different places for a month.
Praying for my family and my Dad and Kevin.
Kevin is working hard on the post office job.
Praying that he gets a full time employment with them.
He sure is working hard for it.
Long.hours including several days a week of overtime hours too.
Not complaining at all.
He even said I know I'll have to work July 4th bu

t that's my job .
I'm trying hard on my weight loss journey.

emoticon emoticon surprisingly two pounds this morning.
I'm refocusing....
It's been very hard to get in the exercise due to high pain levels .
I'm Not Giving Up!!!
Hoping you all are having a nice day today.
That's all the news for today .
Not much else going on here.

Wow it's been one crazy day. My husband bows down and takes the old plates to Justin's old bmw to the post office to mail back . Justin apparently can not take his own responsibility for doing.things. Mind you he leaves for vacation constantly but is 30 and has no responsibility . It's sickening....
Oh.well this too will pass as they say...
He traded bmw for Jeep Cherokee a while ago and has been away a lot claims he had no time.

Good afternoon

Today I'm spending quiet time at home. Not my choice, but it gives me a rest. Covid-19 test was done yesterday, so I'm doing self quarantine until my medical procedure next Wednesday. I can't even go after the mail. I can walk as long as I don't touch anything or go near anyone. I did ask if I could go to church and I can if I wear a mask. More information on the blog I wrote yesterday.

I reported some flowers, something I've been wanting to do for a couple weeks. I'm going to have to get mean with Bernie again. I hate doing it, but she pushes things beyond the limits. She had an appointment every day this week. She did cancel the one on Tuesday. That still left 2 trips to Missoula (round trip about 90 miles) and 2 trips to a town north of us (30 miles round trip). It's too much for 2 people to handle. This is the type of thing that she pulls way too often. Right now she's supposed to have PT 2 times a week for her hip replacement. So that's 2 times. That's understandable. That's what she cancels first.

Marlene, the other gal that helps with rides for Bernie, will be 71 in a month. I'll be 70 in a couple weeks. Both of us have a husband. With our age, all 4 of us have health issues of our own. That complicates things. I also take an elderly friend, Mary, to appointments, pick up and bring her prescriptions, take her to the grocery store, etc. Bernie takes way more time and energy than Mary.

Justin had big argument with his girlfriend Maria and is breaking off with her today.
He actually asked all of us here what our honest opinion of her was.
We were very careful as to what we responded back to him.
I told him basically that it was up to him.
Then he stated that he could not take anymore of her controlling attitude.
He is the only one who can make the decision not us.
LOL Apparently she cried and now they are back together and planning on going away again.
The drama continues. She is a very controlling person.
Good luck to Justin but it's his life.

Good Afternoon

Robert had his eye exam this afternoon. His left eye has pressure again. It's been 11 years since he had surgery on both eye to relieve pressure. So he's done well with it. He goes back in 3 months to check again. We go from there.

I had the covid-19 test done again. So I'm ready for the procedure next week. I'm self quarantine until then.

I haven't had a headache like I did last night in decades. It Came with an upset stomach. That put me to bed. I didn't cook, eat, drink, or take my BP medication last night. On the upside, I had a 2 pound loss at TOPS. Not the best way to lose weight!

I don't wear a mask unless I have too. Costco is the only store that requires one. Any hospital, Dr office, etc. requires one. But then we are in a low risk area.

I started off the day with a 3 mile walk. After that we went to Missoula for my husband's doctor appointment. It's just a routine annual check up. I couldn't go in, but I made sure he asked about his "3rd boob" it's really not one. It's a big lump on his lower lung and it's getting bigger. He's had it a few years and it's been checked on before. It's a non cancerous fatty tumor and it's nothing to worry about unless it quits moving and seams to be attached.

After got home, I had a little bit of a headache. I tried to ignore it. I told my granddaughter it's one that I felt like throwing up. I've been laying down ever since. Somethings are just not possible to ignore. Robert asked if I wanted to go out to eat. I told him no. I also told him to take Malia and eat out. He didn't. I think he had some toast. Not a healthy meal!

I hope this doesn't mess with my covid-19 test tomorrow! I have to have it tomorrow, so that I can have that medical procedure next week.

Good evening

I spent the day in Missoula with Bernie today. I did walk around the parking lot a few times while she was in seeing the doctor. I also walked 3+ miles early this morning. I got a mild sunburn on my face. Ive been smearing aloe vera on it. Afterwhile, I'll see if Robert wants to walk a mile.

I bought a rotisserie chicken from Costco, so I had an easy supper. I'll get one more meal from it, then I put what's left on the carcass in a pan and cook it until the meat falls off the bones, then make some chicken noodle soup. I'll make enough of it to share some with Mary.

Wanda, our TOPS chapter has been meeting for about a month now is a temporary place until we can meet in our regular place. We've been able to meet because we are less than 10 members.

Good Morning! It has been so long since I've posted I feel like you should all have forgotten me. I did do some catch-up reading this morning though.

I've been fighting off a bit of depression over what I'm not sure. It is not like me to get down in the dumps like that. Usually I can pick myself up in an hour or two but this time I've just found it hard to find my smile. It is back this morning though and I feel more like myself. I notice Kat hasn't posted for awhile too so I hope she is okay.

There just doesn't seem to be anything to write about. Everyday is so much like the day before it. I'm supposed to continue "shelter at home" but it has been so long that I think now I really need to get out in order to stay mentally healthy.

Sorry for the whining!! I'm still reading, cooking, spending time with Mal in a home I enjoy (usually), and there are still so many good things in my life but I want to see my friends, walk through stores, go out to dinner (we did once)....Covid is on an uptick here though and I don't want to get it after being careful for so long. I wonder if I'll be able to make myself go out when it is finally safe.

It is a beautiful day here; Mal is at our son's house. They are re-siding it; what a big project that is! Steve has a small ranch style home so at least it is only one floor. I am glad they won't be up on high ladders. Steve has taken the week off to get it done and I know Mal is thrilled to have a project to do with his boy. It has been a long time since they have had one this big. Usually they have something to work on together almost every weekend but, of course, Covid has kept them from that. Mal says they can stay 6 feet apart on this jobthough.

Vicki, glad you are shopping without rationing now! That is a good feeling. Mal still does our shopping but says the stores are well stocked. I thought it might take longer to get the meat levels back up but we are doing fine.

Bea, 2 miles before church? Wow! You are so dedicated! It is great that Robert walks with you now too and you get that 3rd mile. So good for both of you!

Denise, you have stayed faithful to your program through everything. You should be proud of yourself! Have you heard anything about Curves and/or Weight Watchers re-opening? TOPS groups will start meetings in July; at least that is the plan for here; it may vary around the country. Is your chapter meeting yet, Bea? I think I will go back to my chapter for only one meeting and weigh in; than I'm transferring to another nearby chapter that meets in the morning. I don't want to continue driving at night and I have friends in both chapters so I think I will enjoy the early meetings. I have been in my current chapter for 13 years but think it is just time for this change.

I missed a doctor's appointment this morning. Isn't that crazy? It just isn't me to do that. Then the receptionist wouldn't reschedule me until I had paid a $50 fee! I have been seeing that neurologist for years and really like her so I'm mad at myself for oversleeping but...I have to admit I was a bit offended that she wouldn't reschedule me and let me pay for the missed appointment when I get there for the next one. I guess they probably have run into people who just blew off appointments and never came back but that is not me....I have no choice ... she prescribes my Rituxan infusions...LOL

Hope all of you had a nice Father's Day and that your week is starting better than mine!
Prayers all around, for each of you, your families, and our battered world.

Good Afternoon

First I walked 2 miles early this morning. Then I went to church with Robert and Malia. We then went out to eat. We've been watching TV this afternoon, but took time out to walk a mile with Robert and me.

Tomorrow I take Bernie to doctor appointment in Missoula. I'm not really looking forward to it.
