Even though the last post was in 2016 I will say that I don't do twisting motion anymore.

I've learned to modify a number of moves to prevent joint pain or strain on back or neck, and I'd love to hear how others are substituting moves or workouts to challenge themselves while preventing harm.

I just did the Cardio Kick workout w/ Coach Nicole, and the description did say low to medium impact, so I was prepared to modify, since I don't jump with both feet.

On jumping jacks, I've heard it's better to step to the side than just put your foot out, so you are moving your whole body weight, which is more of a challenge. So I did that quickly, while lifting my arm overhead.

I didn't try the squat-thrusts at all (we called them burpies in high school), but did the twisting step forward & punch from earlier. I could speed that up and get my heart rate going. I also did high kicks punching both arms forward or up.

I could only do mountain climber one leg back at a time--stepping not jumping. And due to wrist issues, I don't do full body weight on flat hands, but on my fists.
